My wife has a fear of heights and did complete this hike. Once. The next day my two daughters and I did a sunset hike while my wife enjoyed perusing Moab. Can’t wait to return to Arches.
This is me and my wife’s favorite park. I proposed to her in front of windows arch. The delicate arch hike is worth it every time. Surprised to see the lack of cars and people. Loved the video as it brought back good memories and showed us stuff we haven’t seen yet. Thanks!
I just ‘discovered’ your channel and I would say I am jealous with your road trips with your Dad. He is soo cool 😎 you should come to visit Canada particularly in Alberta :) you should see Banff, Jasper, Waterton Parks, and many more (of course with Dad) I will continue watching the rest of your videos without skipping the ads. Take care of your Dad, God bless and more power to both of you!
Your pops is so fearless. He is amazing on how he keeps up with you. What a great adventure to have together. Thanks for sharing this. I hope to do that park one day.
How beautiful, and I loved that you take the time, to show us this beautiful wonders in details, and places in I will never be able to visit, but with your channel, I can, thank you so much, and keep up this wonderful job.
I have visited Arches NP in 2018 and it was absolutely awesome. But as usual, your video pointed me to a few things i had missed. Thank you so much for your content. It never disappoints. We were also very cautious on that narrow trail to delicate arch. So i totally get your dad on that. Greetings to you and your dad from Germany. I am a big fan :-)
Thank you for the post. I've just booked a tour that includes the arches park. Your video has made this guy from England ever more excited for the trip I've wanted to do for 60 years since I was a child watching the great cowboy films of the 1950s and 60s
Thank you for sharing this video. Your Dad is so cool and funny. Looks like you two had a great time together. I wish I spent more time with my Dad when he was alive. I stumbled your video after searching for Arches NP. It's very entertaining and informative. I'm a new fan.
Where your Dad is at 8:40, walking toward Double Arch, I stopped one morning last August as the sun was coming up and saw something I never saw before. If you stand where he is and look to the right to the rocks farther back, there is a small arch you can only see when the sun is coming up because it shines right through. When the sun isn't there, it just looks like solid rock.
Love your channel. Have to disagree about the Park Ave hike, It’s one of my favorite. Here’s the trick, go to the first view point, take it all in, then drive around to the bottom of the trail and begin your hike from there. It’s flat and easy, and the scale of how high the walls are is breathtaking. Only walk half of it or until it begins to elevate then turn back. Also, it is better at a different time of day when both side are lit, and, kids can run around down there because it’s so wide and sandy.
What a stunning location and a brilliant video, thank you. Definitely on my bucket list. And good to see Pops taking his brave pills to do that last section........I was nervous for him lol.
Such incredible terrain, on one side you have the red rock, dry, desert, monument valley type scenery & in the distance, snow capped mountains. Incredible beauty. Thank you & kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.
I am doing research for our trip in June and by far, leaps and bounds, your video is so well done! Your editing, voice overs, commentaries and pots are just so professionally done. thank you so much for your time and effforts. Oh and... you are one good looking young man
Thank you for posting. This video is one of the best tours I've seen of the park. The comentary was top notch and gave some lovely details. I bet you have taken some spectacular photographs here.
My favorite National Park. I live in the east but have visited it about six times now. For some reason, when I'm there, I feel like I'm home. The place is hot, dry, dusty, but somehow very peaceful too. The only place I've ever seen a wild mountain lion (crossing the road just after sunset once).
Was at Arches over 30 years ago (Late March, Early April) and it was magnificent back then. Didn't have to make reservations either. Thanks for the update (and memories). It hasn't changed one bit.
Me also...late March "89. I was 25. Didn't even charge a fee. Hardly any people. Nothing roped off, you could walk anywhere. We thought we'd try to get on Landscape Arch. (We were invincible). On the way up there was a small sign that said "don't go any farther...X amount of people have died trying". We turned around! It sure was beautiful !
Well...having worked as a guide in the park with over 400 visits...the park has changed dramatically in just the last ten years. Impacts from tourism are very visible if you visit over and over.
Your videos are so helpful when I am planning trips! I love that your dad travels with you...watching him helps me get over my fears of some trails! Quick question...what winter month were you in Utah for these videos? Thank you for all your hard yet fun work!
I keep coming back to your channel and enjoy your work. Do you think that you are blessed to do these trips with your Dad ? Awesome love. Keep on trucking 🚚
Hopefully I’ll get a reservation for this Friday didn’t do much traveling with my parents since they had a very fixed income. But I’m hopping to get out more with my family and explore the places I always wanted to with them.
At 19:43 you are at the spot viewing Delicate Arch where I was one morning at sunup. A guy was there photographing and I had to point out something to him. A hot air balloon with passengers was coming right toward us from behind - it made a great picture.
I highly recommend getting a permit and hiking Fiery Furnace! We hiked it last September. Epic trail and landscape. Slots. Bouldering. Arches. Just beautiful!!
Great footage! Some of the best times of year to visit this park (and much of the Southwest in general) are the so-called "shoulder seasons" in April, May, September, and October. Maybe November in some places, although it can err on the cold/snowy/icy side in many.
Thanks! Arches and Canyonlands are the only ones we haven't been able to visit yet. Note: you need to drink a lot of water out here all year long...it's a desert and very dry.
Great video and especially the wonderful tour you gave to all of us. We were here a few times. last being Sep 2021.Park was packed as usual and parking another story. I loved the hike up to Delicate Arch (Icon of Arches), a must. Hope you saved time for Canyon lands N.P. and Dead Horse State Park, both a short drive up the highway. Both, beautiful parks and breathtaking views there... So much to see in Utah and never enough time to spend in these beautiful Parks.....Thanks again for the fabulous tour and all the valuable information.....
Absolutely magnificent 👍 Utah is one of my favorite state ❤️ I stayed at that place until night watching the stars.. Enjoy your trip and thanks for an awesome video 👏
I hiked to Delicate Arch once years ago but my knees won't take it anymore. It was the same trip where we ran into the guy lost in Fiery Furnace. I got up to Delicate Arch for sunrise. and darned if that guy we found lost at Fiery Furnace was up there too. Not totally lost this time.
Wonderful video! We have only gone once and it was during Covid and late in the day. I love seeing your dad hike with you. He is amazing and great memories. Did your dad hike when you were a kid or did he just start recentl?? My husband and I started late in our life and with this park and video I see we could hike several places at our age. Thank you for showing all the trails and the slot canyon too.
Never been to this park but feel like I have because you do such a wonderful job exploring the park and videoing it. I love your videos! Please keep up the good work!
I would love to know when you went in this video?!?! I want to go with my big family, and seeing this video where it’s not busy at all and there’s no one ruining your experience is amazing!!
Amazing video like always! I feel much better about getting ready for our trip next month, bringing out kids so we will probably miss the last arch as looks pretty scary 😅 but I know it will be amazing anyways 😍
Gorgeous video man! I still would like for you to put the date you went in the description on your vids so we know when you went. The weather looked perfect.
I did Arch's many years ago with my friend Harry and we did just about all the hikes except Fiery Furnace. I did not know about that one until later after leaving the park. We also did the Delicate Arch at the end and it's quite a hike. I remember how that bowl rolls downward so you have to be very careful there. If I get back that way, I'll do the Fiery Furnace Trail! Also, I remember we were hiking on a trail that was way up in the air on rocks and it was hot. We could hear an ambulance in the distance so I wouldn't be surprised if the heat got to someone! You have to be careful there and have plenty of liquids!
Yay for Pops! He is a lot braver than I am. We took a shorter hike to see Delicate Arch from below. Too afraid of heights. Thanks for another great video.
Hi Josh. We love your videos and looking forward to watch this one 🤩👍, but why you don‘t had visited Goblin Valley State Park? 🤔 It is just a half hour detour on the trip from Capitol Reef to Arches. Most of the desert here is BLM land who will allow film shoots with a proper permits. The most commonly used land for filming in Moab is Thelma and Louise point near Dead Horse Point state park...many films were made there...including where they drove the car off the cliff into the "Grand Canyon"...where you obviously can't drive cars.
Amazing. This part of the country is so fascinating. I’m wondering if this is worth doing when cold for less crowds. I’ve seen videos where it’s just nuts
Proud of your dad for overcoming his fear to have that experience. He is a rockstar.
My wife has a fear of heights and did complete this hike. Once. The next day my two daughters and I did a sunset hike while my wife enjoyed perusing Moab. Can’t wait to return to Arches.

I feel your father's pain. I'm 59 with back surgery and a heel spur. 🙏🤞🏼
My daughter and I were there in March. Absolutely stunning views. I want to go back! We drove from Northern Michigan.

more caution needed when hiking down the bowl to the Arch...

I worked as a guide in the park and have over 400 visits...and I still haven't seen the entire park. What you think is most of the hikes...is like 1%.
Also...for the whole Moab area which includes Arches has a fatality about every 36 hours during peak visitation.
I might also add that none of my tour includes any of the places in this video...
