I had the pleasure of meeting Eva in my high school cafeteria. I had no idea who she was or her history but enjoyed chatting over a sandwich. Later that day our school had an assembly where Eva spoke of her past. She was a true warrior. I will forever be grateful for the things she taught us. Humanity must never forget the atrocities committed. When we forget or deny it happened, we open up the possibility of repeating it. Thank you Eva. We will never forget you.

TO hear what she went through from 3:40 on hurts. It really, really pisses me off that there exist people who dismiss the entire Holocaust as fake. There are survivors, videos, pictures, and the damages to buildings from the war still exist. To dismiss the torture and to belittle their experience is just a terrible thing to do. It makes me afraid for what lies in the future, when there are no more survivors to speak the truth.

Hearing her story on UA-cam is one thing, but meeting her and learning from a person who has faced an unbearable amount of pain yet still has the heart to forgive is a life-changing experience. She told me her story and shared how her museum had to be rebuilt again because an anti-Semitic group had burned it down and how even today we are still dealing with these kinds of issues. Eva used her pain and own experience to impact others and bring change to the world. She was a truly incredible person and will forever live in our hearts.

Eva had many years to recount her story and tell her story. There is no doubt that she shed oceans of tears over those years remembering what happened. That is not to say that she is without emotions but rather that she has come to terms with her past and perhaps the forgiveness she bestowed upon the Nazi doctor and Mengele helped her to get to that place. My hope is that she is now reunited with her family forever and will never ever be sad again.

Eva is so incredibly brave and I want to thank her for sharing her story. In Birkenau there is the monument saying "for ever let this place be a cry of despair and a warning to humanity, where the nazi's murdered about one an a half million men, women and chilren, mainly jews, from various countries of europe" written in 22 languages and it indeed is important that we keep sharing these stories as a warning to human kind and in respect to the victims and to never forget what happened. RIP Eva. Thank you for being so incredibly brave and for sharing your story.
