whether the contest is still going on or not, I wanted to drop you a quick thanks ! We're looking at getting started, and this is a perfect vid to help close the deal ! I showed him some Stone Coat vids during our visit this weekend, and he's looking forward to doing something creative with a Pecan and and Oak he had to take down recently. He slabbed them both, and has the slabs seasoning right now for next spring time, and we're looking at diving in . I happened across this vid this morning as I was getting started on my day, and wanted to reach out. Good luck joining up with American Builder !

Great video! I'm sharing this with my epoxy groups. We regularly have minor imperfections that stick out like a soar thumb. It can be difficult to explain how to polish and you nailed! Quick, informative and everything you need to know. I humbly admit it's better and faster than how I do it. Just awesome! Thank you.

Biggest thing I've learned is that time to fix mistakes is longer that one might think.
I was doing my floor and mixed too big a batch, which accelerated the Cure to the point where it was at gel stage as I was pouring.
Because I was strong arming the material over the floor, I introduced massive bubbles.
I tried removing them with a heat gun, but looking at the uneven surface and all the bubbles to clear, I gave up in disgust, thinking I was going to have to remove it.
I came back about 4 hours later, it was cured enough to walk on, but just for giggles, I used the heat gun and to my surprise I could still work a lot of the bubbles.
      And it was pretty level.

Hi Teresa, two things I want to make sure that you are doing this with StoneCoat And it works better if you let it cure for 30 days first. That’s how long it takes to get totally cured and hard. You can polish StoneCoat earlier than that but that is the recommended time frame.

    Hello from across the pond.
Being a part timer or a weekend warrior as I've heard it being described, I dont have big work shop and dust settling on my top coat can be a real kill joy and it prevents me getting that top quality finish I want.
This video has shown me that I can go back to all my finished products and sand out the dust in the cured top coats, bring them back up to a high gloss finish with out having to reapply more epoxy and struggle to keep more dust getting trapped in the epoxy.
Thanks for the video I've subscribed to your channel so please keep 'em comin.
    Cheers

I have tried multiple products, pads, processes. Everything from lacqure, poly, wax (big mistake). I finally broke down and purchased this perfect it, pads and compounds. Used my spinning not DA polisher. Sanded with DeWault Orbital with Diablo pads at 150, 220, 320, and then the new sanding nets at 400 which I have to say left much less swirling and very impressed. Then wet sanded with the DA at 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, then a 3000 net type sponge pad. Cleaned between sanding with distilled water. Then ran through the 3M perfect it steps, 2 passes at each step on my river table which is Hard Maple with Famo Wood. I left one section as fresh pour. I cannot even tell where fresh begins and polished ends. Really works, after being really frustrated. Worth the money and actually process after sanding was as quick as the video. If your trying to polish resin bite the bullet and get this 3M Perfect It. I don't know or am not selling or pushing any of the products here. Just happy I got it working. By the way I stayed at 1500 on the polisher, stepped up to 2k a few times but kept surface cool and light on the polisher. Seriously cannot tell.
