Not really. People need to remember that there are four victims and 2 survivors - they will interview potential witnesses for all of them whereas usually a trial is for one victim. The house was completely surrounded by tightly packed apts and home full of potential witnesses who might have seen or heard something, in addition to what Cycle-Breaker said above.

I’m a long-time Moscow resident. I know all the roads in the area quite well. But us “locals” are only a fairly small percentage of the total population. The population is pretty transient, Moscow being a college town and many residents being connected to the university. It’s a stepping stone community for doctors and other professionals, who often move on for better opportunities. My point is just that not everybody who lives in the area knows about it in depth. Moreover, not everyone knows about the BK case in details-not time for it or not very interested. An impartial jury could be impaneled from the area. Move it to Lewiston, which is a larger town. Among Lewiston, Moscow, and Pullman there would be plenty of accommodations for everyone. Let’s get the show on the road!

I think BK song has changed toons, from when he was arrested. Remember when he wanted to rush back to Idaho, so he could prove his innocence? Let’s face it, the prosecution has much more than the defense ever thought. They are already thinking of fighting it in the future because they think he is going to be found guilty.

When the issue of the IGG was ordered, the defense didn’t fight at all even though the judge ordered that they could only have a part of the evidence and that they had to seek permission to use the material. Crickets.

Before the arrest 99.9% of You Tube Creators & their viewers commenting thought it was Kaylee's high-school ex boyfriend with the texts & he was staying a stones throw away. So it taught everyone until an arrest is made & brought to trial then you'll see the evidence & they have the right person or maybe not. I know there’s a lot that go into cases. I’ve worked in litigation E Discovery for 15 years but it’s also the burden of proof for prosecution. I just don’t understand what the defense needs on their end that would take that long even the amount of information the terabyte just seems like it’s probably a lot of nothing, they’re just using a large volume number of meta-data to help put off getting an earlier trial. Even the judge has said if there’s a way to get more hands on the deck to help out with and being that I work in Discovery there is third parties that deal with that type of metadata all the time where we sort out what is needed and what is not for trial just seems like more of an excuse to buy time.

@JesseWeber I am a Idahoan and I have lived in Moscow. It is a small town not Philadelphia. Everyone knows what is going on. Also the defense attorneys got a huge raise while they represent the guy. Im worried they are milking that big raise paid for by us. Closest move would be south to Lewiston, can't go north to Coeur d'Alene since many of the victims are from there. Not a lot of choices close by. Also the High School is right by the courthouse and all the media will disrupt learning. We do care about our kids. Last on the hotels. I worked at one (long ago) There is not a lot of lodging with media and experts you may not find a room at all for months. Where will everyone stay? An hour away? Logistically if you knew Moscow you would further understand why. It would be a hard situation for the town when school is in.

I wish it was summer of 2024, but if it stays in Moscow it will have to be summer. The town does not have the ability to handle the influx when UofI is in.
