- The prospect of a 2025 trial for Bryan Kohberger has gained traction after a recent hearing in Latah County District Court. Over a year ago, Moscow police announced the arrest of Kohberger for the murders of four University of Idaho students. Authorities allege Kohberger brutally stabbed Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle to death in their off-campus home.

I remember during the investigation I was a mover doing jobs for moving brokers out of Portland Oregon and during the first month I must’ve drove out to Moscow Idaho and Pullman Washington a dozen or so times just to move students back home to their families because of how much fear they were living in. Horrible tragedy

The rooms were clean because Kaylee had already moved out and and some were going home for the holidays. Kaylee's room had no bedding, so she slept with her bff, Maddie, who was about to graduate. I don't think there will be a petri dish of DNA in that house like the 1 gentleman thought.

It has nothing to do with when the trial starts...They had already collected evidence and completed the investigation.
because not only was all the evidence already removed, the place was biologically cleaned, so carpets, etc, would all be gone too. it was not a crime scene anymore.

I feel really bad for the friends and family. My best friend was murdered a few months before this. The grief still hits me hard. It was a total shock, and was so senseless and sudden. I think about him almost every second of the day. His family is like my second family. Always took me in, playing video games all night with him, and his mom making us food and making us comfortable, going to college together in the same program and living together, working at the same job throughout highschool. I miss him so much. The killer only got 6 years in prison for "manslaughter". He was drunk and wanted to fight for no reason at all, pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the heart and with his two buddies, drove away from the scene covered in blood with the idiots 3 year old boy in the car. Hopefully they get the justice that Zacharey didn't get.

I don’t believe Bryan K. committed these murders. I think he’s the scapegoat!! Everything about this case has been shady regarding law enforcement’s response!! I think it was drug related! I suspect Maddie reported the survivors for selling drugs in that house, hence all the college kids there day and night! I read an article online that the cartel are embedded there trafficking drugs. My theory is the cartel found out Maddie notified law enforcement. Now we know Maddie was murdered first and had 56 stab wounds. There’s no way Bryan could murder 4 on different levels of the home in 8-9 minutes. And there’s no way Dylan and Bethany didn’t hear the screams!! They were texting each other!!

We are all ready for answers. Law enforcement/detectives must have a lot of evidence that we are unaware of as of yet. They seem to be dead set on Kohberger. The victims deserve justice, I sure hope they have the right guy.
No way Kohberger did this alone. Law enforcement/detectives screwed this up from the start and now that they have demolished the house(and possible more evidence) their tracks are covered. I truly believe 1 or 2 more killers are still on the loose.

If BK is convicted, his appeal lawyers will argue for a new trial due to ineffective assistance of counsel for his defense lawyers agreeing to have the house torn down. I think that’s why the defense gave their go ahead.

I still find it VERY strange that 2 of the people who lived in the home survived, one of them coming face to face with the killer...and THEN it took something like 8 hours for them to call the police? Im sure there's answers that we or me personally am unaware of, but if i were an investigator that is what id be working on.
It was probably a hit. 2. The other kids obviously had no idea what had occurred. I'm sure the circumstances have been fully investigated.

Because they likely didn’t know what had happened. It was a house full of college kids on a Saturday night. Seeing a guy leaving and hearing commotion would usually have innocent explanations. They couldn’t have guessed what had actually happened

Kohberger sent a message to Madison Mogen over her Instagram and when she refused to respond he sent her several more messages (reported on People magazine) ... if he is the killer, then this pathetic weasel couldn't handle rejection? Anyone sending random messages over social media sites and expecting to get a reply is beyond delusional, especially given the risks if someone as unstable as the person responsible for this crime would be, why would anyone expect that they should be 'entitled' to a reply? If he is guilty, I hope he gets the needle.

While this is the worst crime possible, he crossed state lines and committed this murder in a state with capital punishment. Had he done this in Washington, his punishment would be way too lenient for this crime.

I became the mother of one daughter 20 years ago and have lived in terror so many times since then. First big time was after Maddie disappeared at 3, another time was when a 12 year old and her mother was murdered, there are many others after. Then this. My daughter was going on her summer vacation in a share house (we live in the southern hemisphere so winter there is summer here.) and their little town reminded me so of my small college town outside of Santa Barbara, where later there was a mass shooting; from the sky it just looks relaxed but edgy like students. It looks like everywhere, not a charnel house town.
I often think of the kids and their parents; I would do almost anything to change this awful world.
Justice needs to be delivered. R.I.P. to the victims❤

I don’t understand why the 911 call hasn’t been released yet.
Obviously the victims need to be remembered and mourned by those who loved them but I want to know more about the possible motivations of the suspect and the clues that were gathered that led to his arrest. Also any info out there about that might point to other suspects.

It still bothers me how hush they are. I live only a few hours from Moscow here in Idaho and if this happened anywhere else they would be revealing more. Idaho simply doesn't know what they are doing. They botched much of the Daybell Vallow case and those kids were buried 10 mins up the road from my house. It's too much because it doesn't happen around here . Idaho is kind of unprepared and it's kind of embarrassing.

Everytime I see the footage of the graduation ceremony they should have been a part of and recall my school years, it feels bittersweet because it should have been a happy time, it would have been the start of their adult lives, but they won’t get that. He stole that from them. It’s so heartbreaking.

Moscow local here, I played pool with Bryan and a friend at a local bar in the area, didn't know anything about him, he was just another rando. But one thing that sticks out when thinking of my interaction with him was, Bryan saying to my friend something to the effect of "so we're the smartest people in this room right now huh?" And looking back on it, it's kinda chilling.
You made the comment that Bryan was not in Moscow following his trip there the night of the murders. I thought it came out that his cell phone pinged around 9 am that morning close to the house. Was this false speculation?

Tearing down the house before a trial, is NOT going to make healing easy. No matter what they put there. Unless you are under a rock or to young to know this case, this case is a literal monster under your bed a true life nightmare. One more thing, juries absolutely do like to go to crime scenes. Parkland and just recently the Murdaugh. Please pray that this was not a mistake of a selfish money hungry University. The victims deserve FULL JUSTICE.
They took hundreds of photos and video tours before tearing it down. There's no need for the jury to physically go there. There was no need to tear it down, but I understand why they did. Everywhere else in the world everyone lives in old houses that lots of people have died in and nobody cares. 😂

Roommates calling over friends instead of 911. The police officers said the house smelled like death, how did the roommates not pick up on that?
Police removing items from the scene too soon.
I don’t remember seeing any photos of ambulances removing the deceased.

Bethany, one of the surviving ones was on the same floor as Ethan and Xana and never said she did or didn’t hear from the perpetrator. She is 100% sealing her lips from the actual truth because there’s just no way there wasn’t any noise made when both the victims had defensive wounds.

The fact that the local cops Knew they couldnt handle the case alone and, called in more enforcement is honorable. HONORABLE. LIKE ALL OF THESE KIND AND GORGEOUS STUDENTS
I truly believe that Maddie was the main target. Kaylee Xana & Ethan were definitely at the wrong place wrong time. BK basically had no choice but to kill kaylee too because she woke up in the makings of him murdering her best friend (maddie) and was trying to fight him off of her (that’s why she had defensive wounds) her body was trapped between the wall and maddie’s body. Dylan (the roomate) said that ethan came out of his room to see what that loud noise was and BK basically seen him and killed him. Then Xana was still awake in bed and she screamed and was basically fighting off the killer that is why she had defensive wounds. Ethan’s body was found blocking the door way (he was on the floor) & Xana was found obviously in the bed but was laying in a very uncomfortable weird way. This seriously breaks my heart. It’s the fact that he knew which room to go to first which was maddie’s. I wonder if he was only planning on hurting maddie and that was it. I don’t think he expected kaylee to be in bed with her.

I totally agree with you. Motive for murder is simple. Maddie was his dream girl, and he knew he could not have her. The other 3 beautiful people were just in the way. BK assumed Maddie would be alone in bed, and the others would be asleep. Most murderers don't get away with it, there are so many uncontrollable factors.

They literally mentioned in this video that it was not him. The sheath has BK DNA on, his phone gps shows he was in the area at the time of the murderers. He did it.

No crime scenes are preserved for years, which is how long murder cases take to get to trial. They took the evidence and photos/videos needed and were done with it. Nothing unusual about that.

I always wondered why, and commented several times about the fact that there was never a reward offered for information on such a big case. Then someone commented back that it was most likely because they had , had a strong suspect in mind for a while. .so it makes me wonder just how long they had been looking at him.
i agree with the victims families. the house should not have been torn down until after the trial. the jury should have been taken to the house to be in the environment of the tragedy, during the trial.
The house was much different compared to how it was during the murders. It would not have been the same environment. Considering both parties signed off on the demolition, a jury visit would not have happened either way

"These girls were absolutely beautiful" is something that is not a factor whatsoever in crime, death or murder. It's a subjective comment that doesn't help the victims, the family, the general public to be more informed or the police detectives to solve the case.

i often find myself thinking about how differently we would live our lives if we knew the details of our inevitable death. obviously you’d try to avoid certain places and people but in kaylee and madison’s case , to know your soulmate/soul sister was meant to die such a brutal death, and so were you . what would the conversions they’d have sound like.

I hope these 4 victims get the justice that they deserve, and for all that are involved get the punishment they deserve, it doesn't make sense to take 4 innocent lives like this. I had forgotten about this case. I over saturated myself with it for the first few months after it happened, as it got to the point it was just the same information and speculations regurgitated over and over. It is all so horrific. Do we know yet when the trial is, and if it will be televised? I am hoping that it will be televised, but at the same time I feel a little bad that I am participating in making Kohberger a celebrity through this culture of crime as entertainment 😬 That reminds me, haven't watched Natural Born Killers for a while, must do that today 😇
PS. I agree that house should NOT be torn down yet. All possible must be done to ensure B.K. pays for his ('alleged' still I guess?) crimes and the victims' memories are respected.
@@chasejordan8065 I still find that very suss too, particularly how do you hear the noise, see some stranger in your hallway and just have a sleep? It makes no sense.
It's sad I have to praise this fact but I have to commend the police force there for knowing they're in over their head and asked for help. So many times you hear of these crimes in smaller more rural areas and instead of asking for help they botch the investigation and irreparably damage the case.
I feel like BK did this to spite the police for not selecting him. He seems like a very vengeful person. He seems like one who believes he’s better than everyone in the room. I think he looked at this not being selected as an insult and sought out these girls as payback and sadly Ethan and Xana were victims of timing.

You’re ignorant, legal system moves slowly. Taking forever, delays? There’s been none. There’s not even a trial date set yet. It’s only been a year since the arrest. Usually it takes 2-5 years for a case to go to trial, and this one is a capital case involving 4 victims. It absolutely is not taking forever. A trial in the summer would be unreasonable, that would be lightning speed.
The maintenance tunnels that lead directly from the university to several houses on that street should be investigated. There's even maps of them, and one goes directly to the house.

@user-wn3cs5tg9p I haven't watched that channel! If their is evidence they indeed do have access to the interior of the house, that's some movie stuff! I'm not 100% they lead into the house but according to documents hosted on Idaho's .gov site, they do have tunnels all around that area, steam tunnels and stormwater.
