The fact that someone used her phone to tell her family she was going away with a mysterious man she met for a couple of days is very telling on it’s own. What suspect would want give other people hints as to what Could have happened to her. It’s very likely that the person who did this to her sent those messages in order to divert suspicion towards them.

Not necessarily. If someone stole or had access to your phone they'd know who you talk with, the people you text more often, and in case, in what languages. Even a cursory reading of previous messages would reveal who is a relative, a friend, a colleague etc. Not saying it's impossible but in no way a certainty. Also, organizing a kidnapping (hoping it's "just" a kidnapping) overseas is complicated for the CIA, almost impossible for some guy.

They knew exactly where she lived. If their main aim was to kill her, they would have done so right there in her apartment but they did not. If they forced her into a car, getting out of the building and into the car must have been recorded by CCTV cameras somehow. That´s a busy street with traffic lights, banks, businesses that do have CCTV cameras. There is absolutely no way she was kidnapped with no footage available, at least of the moment she was taken or walked out of the building. Perhaps police are going through the footages (that's something I'm sure they'll do). They must ahve used a car or a vehicle to take her somewhere and once the car is identified, it's very possible to trace its movement throughout the city. Most streets and highways in Madrid are equipped with sophisticated cameras. Whoever did this, planned it really well.

I was in Barcelona last year and I was warned that there are a lot of pocket pickers in Spain. You always have to keep an eye on your belongings and noticed a few young men following me and the oddest thing of all is that you can't really find a decent place to stay without paying a lot of money at a luxury hotel, which I find odd, A lot of space for rent through Airbnb in Spain the rooms don''t have locks! I finally found a decent place to stay for a few days with a room that had keys and a lock. One evening I heard suspicious knocking on the doors of the rooms in the apartment. The next day I was notified by the owner of the apartment that there were people trying to sell something and don't answer the doors. I find it odd that they were able to get inside of the building and into the apartment...I felt unsafe and that I was going to get abducted. Next time I visit Spain I will pay a decent amount to stay at a luxury hotel.

I’d be hiring a PI and investigating his phone calls and interactions and whereabouts from the moment she told him She was leaving him and going to Spain. Don’t know much about his culture, but I believe that will be eye opening to learn about the stigma attached to a wife leaving her husband and what that means for him. He def is behind this. I watch a lot of these kinds of shows, especially of woman that have disappeared and I have lost count of how, in many of them, the woman sent a text message saying she was with another man, or the husband/partner verbally says that she told him she was leaving him for someone else. Then we discover it was the husband who killed her and just used that to deflect from any investigation of what he was doing at the time of the disappearance. As soon as I saw that text, I knew it was her husband. Then I find out he is in Serbia, which although not close, is a lot closer than Florida.
I guess criminals don’t watch true crime. Using the victims phone to send the “I decided to go away for a while” text has only been done like 10,000 times and is totally obvious to everyone. 😒
From what I've been reading online, she's Colombian, her husband is Serbian, both living/ working in the USA and she was heading for a expensive divorce. It sounds like someone has decided to settle this ordeal outside of the courts which is often a much cheaper option.

I traveled to Barcelona on my own in 2019. I remember an older guy stalked me to the cafe in a busy street and left me a love note, and kept passing by to look at me. I remember laughing about it and posting about it on social media not thinking twice. Then someone said to me, 'Be careful' and I snapped back to reality. I now look back and realise I was lucky, very lucky to go back to Australia safely.

Not really, your phone records the people you text and call more often. It would take five seconds to determine who's a relative, a colleague, a boyfriend or whatever. Plus a ton of other info, nowadays phones are connected to email, bank accounts, they track where you go, online searches, everything. Someone with access to your phone and a little knowledge could do this easily.

Not necessarily. If someone stole or had access to your phone they'd know who you talk with, the people you text more often, and in case, in what languages. Even a cursory reading of previous messages would reveal who is a relative, a friend, a colleague etc. Not saying it's impossible but in no way a certainty. Also, organizing a kidnapping (hoping it's "just" a kidnapping) overseas is complicated for the CIA, almost impossible for some guy.

They knew exactly where she lived. If their main aim was to kill her, they would have done so right there in her apartment but they did not. If they forced her into a car, getting out of the building and into the car must have been recorded by CCTV cameras somehow. That´s a busy street with traffic lights, banks, businesses that do have CCTV cameras. There is absolutely no way she was kidnapped with no footage available, at least of the moment she was taken or walked out of the building. Perhaps police are going through the footages (that's something I'm sure they'll do).
They must ahve used a car or a vehicle to take her somewhere and once the car is identified, it's very possible to trace its movement throughout the city. Most streets and highways in Madrid are equipped with sophisticated cameras.
Whoever did this, planned it really well.

I was in Barcelona last year and I was warned that there are a lot of pocket pickers in Spain. You always have to keep an eye on your belongings and noticed a few young men following me and the oddest thing of all is that you can't really find a decent place to stay without paying a lot of money at a luxury hotel, which I find odd, A lot of space for rent through Airbnb in Spain the rooms don''t have locks! I finally found a decent place to stay for a few days with a room that had keys and a lock. One evening I heard suspicious knocking on the doors of the rooms in the apartment. The next day I was notified by the owner of the apartment that there were people trying to sell something and don't answer the doors. I find it odd that they were able to get inside of the building and into the apartment...I felt unsafe and that I was going to get abducted. Next time I visit Spain I will pay a decent amount to stay at a luxury hotel.

I watch a lot of these kinds of shows, especially of woman that have disappeared and I have lost count of how, in many of them, the woman sent a text message saying she was with another man, or the husband/partner verbally says that she told him she was leaving him for someone else. Then we discover it was the husband who killed her and just used that to deflect from any investigation of what he was doing at the time of the disappearance. As soon as I saw that text, I knew it was her husband. Then I find out he is in Serbia, which although not close, is a lot closer than Florida.

I traveled to Barcelona on my own in 2019. I remember an older guy stalked me to the cafe in a busy street and left me a love note, and kept passing by to look at me. I remember laughing about it and posting about it on social media not thinking twice. Then someone said to me, 'Be careful' and I snapped back to reality. I now look back and realise I was lucky, very lucky to go back to Australia safely.
I doubt they will find her body she’s probably in the ocean. Who ever grabbed her knew what they were doing. The reasons for the divorce will likely be the best clue.

Not really, your phone records the people you text and call more often. It would take five seconds to determine who's a relative, a colleague, a boyfriend or whatever. Plus a ton of other info, nowadays phones are connected to email, bank accounts, they track where you go, online searches, everything. Someone with access to your phone and a little knowledge could do this easily.
Why don’t they locate her phone signal ??? Or at least check the phone records, again why didn’t they check the cameras of the buildings nearby ?
