Postal turned me on to the Yak line. Yak 30 is my first tier 10. The Yak line is not all fun but Yak 15 19 30 is great. You can not go as high as Vee did in the Yak 15 but under 4ooo Yak 15 is great. The Yaks 15 thru 30 are very good at zone defending
Even with turbo still slower at 10 can’t keep up. Good sector defender
So what your telling me is ... if i like how the biplanes fly and shoot... i mean *really* like the way Bi-Planes play in the game ...
Then its the Yak line.
Oh and once again, thank you Vee bat.
For showing us how easy it is for even experienced players (that absolutely should know better) to fall into that turn-fighter trap that afflicts so many.
Wherever your turnfighter flies: you can dominate the airspace. You can have 16k points, hero of the sky, and a chest full of medals ...and still loose the game.
if the airspace your are dominating is not *at that particular moment in the battle * important to the Cap control game
WHat happened? Here is what i saw ...
Vee got pulled away from the central airfield early on. And that is fine.
As long as Vee remembers to go into another cap zone or back to his starting zone. Whatever is closest.
Which was definitely the plan. He even said as much.
But no plan survives enemy contact.
Vee; like many many players in the game, let his situational awareness gets distracted by all the angry planes trying to kill him.
These teir 10 bots kept dragging him toward their spawn site every time he latched onto their 6.
Was he killing planes ? sure. Did they count for any thing? lots of medals. Did it matter for the win? not really.
I guess the rule of thumb for this is as follows .
Unless it is to go directly to another cap zone; *never* leave a cap zone.
Killing someone far enough away that their death doesnt refresh cap points on a zone you control is a wast of potential cap points.
Additionally; the time you spend leaving a cap is time you must spend getting back to a cap. Which is time not spend killing enemy planes.
So dont take the bait.
In an ideal scenario; you are *really* good at situational awareness. At which point that Boom and zoom clown in the energy fighter that thinks he drew you away from the zone
is actually just bringing you THAT much closer to the next zone you want to be in. and giving you some damage points to score while you are making the transit.

I think the yak 30 is decnet enough for most players to get the hang of it quickly. However the playstyle is boring in my eyes and at tier 10 there is more to dogfighting than just turning. That said, nice showcase of this platform.
My only problem with all there game is that Russian planes, tanks and ships are O.P.
Can’t open this game anymore in my high end PC.
