Reviewing the inputs it seems the consensus is fly lower so the bombs track better and then two should be enough for the special site. I should have realized since that is how I fly the Ju-288’s anyways. High while waiting for reload and low for the drop.

Also I would like to mention for those who do not know that the bombs for the Ju 287 and EF 131 have a "splash" damage factor. You aim at the front of the ground target, not the middle. There is forward momentum from the speed of the bomb. If you find yourself missing the front end of targets, move your drop back to the edge of the front of the target. The splash damage occurs in the direction you are moving.
I fly the T10 bombers completely differently. Most of my bomb runs are between 500-700 meters. I don't use the bomb site and rely on the aiming circle. Pretty much all sites can be taken in one pass with the exception of airfields. The advantages of bombing low are no heavy flak, Heavys are generally up high, and bombing is highly accurate. I find the pilot skill "battle tested" to be highly valuable, keeping your bomber controllable when you are jumped on a bombing run many times allows you to flip the zone even if your tail or wings are out. Also I find devensive fire to be more important than balistics expert. 30% damage reduction for 3 points vs 10% range for 5 points works better for me. Everyone does their own thing, just my two cents since you were asking for comments.
Hi Vee. The best bomber pilots on the EU server fly the EF131 and the SU10 like dive bombers, dropping really low and accurately, not at high altitudes. Removes some of the danger from heavies. You can die a bit more often, but who cares, if your bombs have been dropped successfully. Only needs 2 bombs for the centre of the mine/plant. Pretty easy to take it with one pass that way. With strengthened hardpoints the reload speed of bombs on my EF131 is 35 seconds when max specialised. That's probably of more benefit than the bomb sight, especially at low altitudes where timing of the bomb drop is more important than accuracy. Great vid series Vee. Only need 2 bombs on Center site in the mine, if you look close it has two sections, 1 on the back and 1 on the front sections and that does it everytime. Then you have 2 left to take out large sites to flip the zone in 1 pass. Good game and showing of the EF 131's strengths.
You can easily take out a special mine site with 2 bombs but I find I need a speed and altitude that allows for accurate bombs. If you have a bomb that strays because your too high and fast or turning then you will leave stuff behind for a red to clean up. No spec kit needed
There is nothing overtly wrong with flying the EF 131 at low altitude, there are occasions I will fly in low to grab a target before the enemy does or even a rival bomber on my own team. I'm an efficiency freak when it comes to bombers, 37.0 efficiency. Closing in on 3000 Doolittles. My ground target record for the EF 131 is 46 in one battle. So as a rule I hate getting shot down, for any reason. So in my opinion the best way to fly the EF 131 is to vary your altitude based on circumstance. Generally though I fly at higher altitudes and heavies are almost never an issue. The key to efficient bombing with the EF 131 is to take out 5 or 6, sometimes 7 ground targets with 4 bombs, if you space the blasts correct, and yes sometimes you need a little luck. I fully support other bombers improving their game, and I advocate playing your bombers in the style that is best and is best for fun. Also I would like to point out that the EF 131 and Su-10 can be used for more than just ground target bombing. I've taken out 4 out of 5 bombers in a bomber flight in one pass (dropping my bombs over the top of them) in both the EF 131 and Su-10. So in a pinch the EF 131 can be used in a possible game saving defensive move as well. It is very tricky though, fly too high and you won't get most of them, fly too close and you'll blow yourself up. Finally and I hate to keep repeating this, but the best bombers on the NA server are not in the HVAR or DRACS clans. HVAR barely has two people flying, and DRACS has Cardona (ex OWSS) and Pirat262. Both are excellent bombers and they have my respect. The last time Warplanes had a real event with a leader board, it was clear for everyone to see who the #1 bomber was.
@@truekiropfan8329 The main problem with the Ju 288C is the bomb accuracy. This bomber finds ways to miss targets, even at medium altitudes. I've tried the bombardier scope to increase the accuracy and that does work, but then you get stuck with a God awful reload time. One can either fly it lower and get mauled by other planes but you might have better luck taking out sectors, or you can double up on the bombs, even triple drop on targets and just take your time. It has a nice tail gun, like the RB-17, with high and low turrets, and it is fast enough. Having some front guns is nice. I think my record for ground targets in this plane is 31, which seems like a miracle. Like all the German "Schnell" bombers I fly it relatively high, above 2800 m and avoid heavies and try to hit targets. It works, but the poor bomb accuracy makes it a challenge to have really big games and it can be quite frustrating when you need to hit your targets and your bombs simply get kicked off in random directions. Every time I fly the Ju 288C I'm still trying to figure it out.
At the moment, it should be bombed at the bottom. And be able to pick up factories from the aisles. Throw me a replay of the battle as you bomb, I will look and tell you what and how. Intelligent_Zombie: I have flown the SU-10 at a higher altitude as oppose to flying it at its minimum, it is not specialized and I was told by a specialized ground pounder in a IL-40P and I quote, "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?" Lesson leaned, ALL CAPS, it was only my 2nd time in it, without the bomb site, you have to be at the minimum and not the mid altitude to be effective, however, that leaves you at the whim of every Heavy and Light Fighter and I spent most of my time on my rear gunner as oppose to dropping bombs, and, as a bomber, your job is to drop bombs! I love the Douglas A-26 at tier 6 but, at tier 10 it takes a special pilot to fly a tier 10 bomber and be effective and capture zones. My take away, you could fly a "broom-stick" and come back with a 10,000 plus point game, I on the other hand, need a bit of practice but, thanks for teh information and again, great video and very informative.

Take your time. THere is SOOO much fun to be had on the way to tier 10. Do yourself a favor and dont rush it. Beyond Biplanes vs Jets and the gradual transition from a turning meta to a speed meta; from one tier to the next the primary difference is that the numbers used get bigger.
I have been watching you for a while now, and was wondering, if you fly in the white area of altitude, you get the most out of your aircraft and as you increase performance goes down? Do i have that right? Please never stop making your videos, it has helped me Immensely!!
As far as I know, the white area of altitude is the optimum altitude your aircraft likes to fly in. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't fly in the yellow area at all, you can still fly there but you will notice a slight decrease in airspeed and possibly some maneuverability (not sure about the latter one).
I love the German Bomber line, absolutely do, Veebat. I'm at the Ju-288C at the moment, but I haven't played in months, and that's because the progression of the game has ground to a halt, there have been no new updates in a long time, correct me if I am wrong of course.
Flying any tier x bomber at altitude is huge mistake. My su10 is specialised to the max and it only very rarely loses, I have to really cock it up to do so. I fly it mostly like a GA, only gaining altitude if I need to cross the map quickly. The 131 is a fun change to the SU but never outshines it and isn't any easier.
I understand the need to fly bombers low, and I also understand that certain players enjoy low flying bombing. Done it myself thousands of times. I have to disagree about flying tier 10 bombers at higher altitudes. I thrive there and rule the sky. I think generally a lot of bomber players have no idea how to destroy and deal with heavies and other planes, which forces them down, even though they will still get attacked and destroyed near the ground. The EF 131 was made to fly high and command the map.
Prenzlau No you're just not playing against humans who know what they are doing. eg in my xf90 i purely kill all the bombers and even wait for them near spawn. A lot give up and quit the battle early. You have to play tier 10 bombers low.

How do you steer the plane and aim at the same time when using the rear machine gun. When I press the "T" key, I use the mouse to aim and I no longer have control over the plane.

I really like my Su-10. It looks awesome to. I still have to get the EF 131. But I think I prefer the Su-10 because I often fly quite a bit low.

I can’t figure out for the life of me why the Ar-234 isn’t in the game. While I enjoy prototype planes, I would prefer to see the 234 in this game
