Omg i love this ! We had a time girl!! 🤣🤣 thank you so much for having me on and sharing me with your community. Can’t wait to see you again 💚💚💚
THIS WAAS SO GOOD
I'm a 🍪 and an Awestarr. Love the video ❤
🗣 I Love You Carolyn!!😅 Cookie Nation❤❤❤
I’m a cookie and awe star. Great seeing you both 😍
Awe Stars and Cookie Squad united!🙌🏾 Loved this episode!💞💞
YASS!!! Thank you for watching
Two of our faves. Loved this interview. Lots of REAL fashion talk and so many insights! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved this episode. I am already a follower of you both. I am an old school fashion girl, 60 years young and although I truly enjoy styling videos and hauls, I am also truly drawn to intellectual commentary. This episode gave that.
Carolyn Gray is such a cool girl! Fun interview!
Yes she is!
I truly enjoyed this vlog. Monica Im loving the pearls and th CC brooches. I'm happy to say I'm part of the 🍪 community. Carolyn is refreshing and her sense of style is unique. She is really in a lane of her own. The way she makes me laugh is the cherry on top.
I agree! Truly, in her own lane! Nothing but success coming her way. Thank you for watching.
Love Bobbie Brown! So excited to try Jones Road!
I've been wanting to try Jones Road too bcuz I don't wear makeup like that but want that spark or boost with ease. Although i do like make- up, and full glam but not every day wear for me.
I love Carolyn. She is so funny. She is so knowledgeable about fashion. I learn so much from her!!!
Surprised you didn't mention Gucci and the blackface controversy!
Dressing everyday makes me happy 😊 people say I’m extra or calls me a Diva”I’m just keep doing me looking good
I have a real life example that encompasses a lot of what you ladies are talking about... I purchased a navy blue pin stripped suit from Express (this was years ago when Express was outside of my budget) I purchased the suit for $28 dollars! The suit was like a size 8 at the time I was a size 4. I spent $75 to have the suit altered and when I tell you that this suit became my "boss b**ch" suit! Auhhhh! I loved myself in that suit! I have not found anything that made me feel that boss since ❤
Best episode. Period! That Gemini and Virgo energy is unmatched! 🙌🏾🤌🏾Thank you my favs for the positive energy, the awesome vibes, and the gems dropped! And the giggles!🤣🤣 Sisterhood is a beautiful thing. The cookies and the awe-stars got a treat today!😍
❤
Omg Moni loved all of this segment. Carolyn Gray aka Queen Cookie was on point per use. ❤❤❤
It was so good! A great conversation
Both of you are just amazing together. Thank you for saying the truth you guys are so real amazing thank a bunch pouring it out God Bless you Both 🙏🙏🙌🙌💕💕
Great chat, ladies. Love you both! When you're comfortable in your clothes, it gives you confidence and puts a pep in your step, makes you walk tall!
That part!
I loved this segment, two of my favorite subscribers. My it girls ❤️
YAY!!
This episode was so so good!! From beginning to end. Just what was needed. Good authentic conversation. Can’t wait to see who your next guest is gonna be. 🖤🩶🤍🫶🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This makes me so happy to read. The lineup is everything so stay tuned. I really maximize my time in New York during fashion week so know that a lot of great interviews are coming.
ZARA is a big NO because EVERYONE has it.
Tracey Reese!!!! I literally was looking for her brand this week.
YASSS!! Did you find anything? I love that brand. Her silk dresses were the best. Quality exquisite.
Hey Moni. I’m a your subscriber and I’m in the COOKIE squad. This is a treat for me, both my favorite ladies at the same time 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I love it!! Thank you and thanks for watching
Great video! I really enjoyed the convo with you and Carolyn.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching
I love the 80s and the 90s era of design. I’m currently chasing a lot of vintage designs from back then from bags, shoes, to clothes. I’m no longer sacrificing quality for a fast fashion look. & I don’t want what everyone has.
So am I. I’m actually recreating outfits that I wore back then.
Yea i find it distasteful when people have snobby attitudes in general. Particularly some on social media when their platforms starts to gain popularity, earn coins that they never experienced or be in spaces they never been before, so their character starts to shift, but in a questionable way. Im like 👀 its not that serious...typically i unsubscribe or not support even though that doesn't mean anything to them 🤷♀️ - its for me. Although their achievements is commendable.
I feel you. It definitely leaves a bad taste. Thank you so much for watching.
Monica, you may be going through perimenopause that is why you’re probably not sleeping. Maybe try seeing a naturopathic hormone therapy specialist. Perimenopause wreaks havoc on women but when you find the right solution it’s smoother sailing.
Thank you for this. I will definitely look into it and happy Saturday
I love a crossover moment!!!!
So good right! 🥰🥰🥰
This was such a great conversation. I loved it, and the honesty 💞. It was so good to me I didn't realize the length of the video and wanted more.
I always get scared when the videos go on this long, but the conversation was so good, and I tried my best to speed things along, but I legit could’ve talked with her for hours. We actually talked for hours more after the interview, so hopefully we’ll chat more in another episode.
Tracy Reese!
I'm already laughing sis
Awe Stars and Cookies in the house!!!!
Yass! We had a good time!
Always great conversation! You both are great!
😍😍
I think you mean Tracy Reese??? As the black luxury fashion designer
Loved this episode! ❤ The conversation between you two was just amazing as you both are so knowledgeable! 😍
Omg…I watched from start to finish…an hour of my time well spent. I love you two together. I adore the down to earth vibes…two humble baddies. I love the discourse about DKNY, the industry, Celine…it’s so important as consumers to be aware so thank you.
soooo good. 👌.. The topic about personal style. Majority of the people don't want to allow their own thoughts and ideas to inspire their style, people just go along with what I would call "the style templates" they've seen work and trend.
HELLO. NO PERSONAL STYLE. A BUNCH OF COPY CATS AND I BLAME U INFLUENCERS FOR DOING YOUR JOBS WELL. MY MOM WAS MY FADHION ICON. I LAUGH WHEN I SEE THAT THERE US NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN. ALSO A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE NO CREATIVITY. U. CAROLYN, AND KAREN I SEE STYLING OUTFITS A BIT MORE. OTHERS JUST BUY EXPENSIVE ITEMS AND FEED TO THE MASSES. THANKS. KEEP IT COMING. 56 yrs
Hi Cookie it was good to see you with Monica and I have some pants they are too big and too long I was going to give them away but Now I'm gonna get them tailored. I also say to people who ask what size do you wear, this is always my answer "Fittems" It means to me if it fits me I'm in them.😂😂😂❤ PS I know your name is Carolyn I just like calling you Cookie 😊
My two favs. Love you ladies. Followed her because of you Monica
Love ❤this discussion and I’m with you both on the Bottega earrings. It’s like that Jay Z line: she’s alright but she’s not real.
Tracy Resse , Plenty brand in Anthropologie.
Black Designer was Tracey Reese. Great episode.
This was awesome ladies. You both are two of my faves because of the realness and the gorgeous fashion❤❤❤
I wrote a blog post about the size tag having a chokehold on people's style. I styled people for years and worked in retail, and many refused to go up a side.
Tracy reese is amazing!
She really is!! Does she still create product?
I truly enjoyed this conversation! Thanks for taking the time to deliver this quality content. 🌟🌟🌟
Glad you enjoyed it!
Moni, u r a great talk shiw personality. U can feel how genuine u r with your guest.
The take on the Row🤔Yeah I can see late 80s -90s Banana Republic.
This was a wonderful episode! I am a cookie ❤.
Two of my favs to follow! Great video ladies!
I don't know how this video got on to the lineage stream to watch while I was watching UA-cam on my TV, but I heard a familiar voice and let it play. I am subscribe to Carolyn just recently and I feel in love with her different shades of gray humor and I see her hanging around this NYFW with a lot of the influencers that I been following for years now. I really enjoy this episode and glad it popped up to view. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the coming days.
Great interview. Thanks
i love how long it was !!! it was good ❤
I don’t want to miss any of these shows… so good!💃🏾
Love this I’m an Awe Star ⭐️ and a Cookie!! 🍪😁😆🙌🏾
Me too😊
@@robinnewton1061 😆🙌🏾
Love Carolyn gray !
I bought the Botega dupes in silver and gold. I havent worn either yet. I might try this week.
Two of my favs 🥰 love this 🙌🏽
This episode! Thank you so much for this!!! I was the girl who worked in an office with my long arty nails, door knockers and NOW!!!! I thank ya’ll for saying fashion brands need to do the work, or hire more people of the culture. Educate the world of how Black people are the architects of this.
I live this sooo much❤
Kudos to Monica!!!
MY 2 FAVS❤❤
Live the interview
Wait! Hold up! Nigerians - particularly the Yoruba's are also know to be very nice/caring, hospitable, down to earth, smart (intelligent), and artistic. Moni you trying it lol 🤣 🩷 🇳🇬 🇺🇸.
YES O!!! You already know!! Thank you for watching my love. I appreciate you. Going to start the premieres again soon, so stay tuned and have a great weekend.
I have several Gianvito Rossi heels. These are my comfort go to heels ❤
I love it. Thank you for watching.
Loved this video. I unsuscribed because of your overconsuming & overwelming & sometimes a bit costumy fashion weeks. It's nice to see your evolution. Im a caribbean cookie (hey Carolyn) & we use these shopper bags too! Love your hair.
Well, I hope you find your way back to subscribing 😍🥰. I’m definitely reconsidering my shopping habits in the new year lol. Hopefully I can bring you back with some of these interviews and some other fun things that I do and not just shopping. Thank you for watching and have a great weekend.
Omg. I said that year ago! Yes it is Banana Republic. 😆😆….Aka 2010 Ralph Lauren 😎
Not Ralph Lauren! Lol. But right! Make sure you watch episode one from season two because we talk about that more.
I LOVE you both. I'm definately a cookie. Yall two of my favorite creators.
I love it and thanks for watching
Elizabeth & James was one of my favorite brands back in the day. I loved them so much I bought the fragrances
Right!! It’s so crazy how some of these brands come and make such a mark but then they fade away. It was such a great brand.
Listening but may Mary Kate & Ashely maybe made over side cool but I’m older 53 so Lisa Bonet’ was our it girl well she was mines I was deemed the Lisa bonet’ of my high school but what they didn’t know I was wearing my aunt clothes because she had the nice things I was skinny she as 5’1 so her clothes hung on my like I tried to wear it like that love this interview made me miss fashion meaning i started having kids back so I had to put that on the back burner I was the models for hair shows & fashions love this ❤❤❤
Totally agree about Lisa Bonet and oversize jeans. I think the fashion world likes to forget how black women had a hand in fashoin trends.
@@tamaraa1134 right sorry for typos I fixed it my iPhone typing things and I didn’t proofread it
Bravo Bravo Ladies this was an amazing interview/conversation Style is personal & not cookie cutter ❤❤
Literally 2 of my favorites together. I'm thrilled!!! This was SO GOOD! Carolyn is HILARIOUS and insightful. Pair that with you ,Moni...PERFECTION thank you!
The lady on the left is rocking a wild style…she’s wearing leather and denim with a suede sweater lol that look is all over the place! 😂
That’s your opinion!
@@awedbymonica what’s your opinion?
Brava Monica! You're a great interviewer! I loved this interview. This interview was magical for me. I am a member of both the All Stars and Cookies communities. Your interview was informative, interesting and sooo much fun! I love and respect the authenticity of the both of you! I appreciated the insights and knowledge the both of you shared. I binge watch the both you! The both of you are fabulous and magnificent together as well as independently.
Omg that’s one of the best videos I’ve watched in a while! You were so good together. I was laughing so hard at some of the things that were said! Thanks for sharing! I throughly agree with everything that was said especially the personal style and the shopping your closet part. I can totally relate! ❤
This makes me so happy to read. Thank you so much, and thank you for watching. I appreciate you. Have a great weekend.
@@awedbymonica thank you. Have a wonderful weekend also!
LOVED this episode!❤❤❤Carolyn Grey is a vibe, the dialogue and energy was delightful. Seeing my favs join forces giving fashion masterclasses and practical tips is a treat!
I’m a subscriber of you both and glad to see you both shining.
This episode was awesome. You two have such great chemistry
Thank you! I highly enjoy, talking all things fashioned with Carolyn. Hopefully we will do it again.
This was so good! I have very little time to indulge, so I’m particular about how I spend my time. I love fashion and hearing ya’ll talk fashion…totally worth it! Keep doing it, Monica 💚
Great discussion.
Being in my mid-60s and having closely followed fashion since a teen I feel that, especially since the invention of the internet, some people seem to be following what everyone else is buying/wearing and not really homing in on their own personal style, maybe due to not really knowing what it is and also allowing others to define their style. It just seems to be a revolving door of come-and-go cookie-cutter trends and many at outrageous prices. Fashion needs to slow down as these days it's way too fast. it doesn't give people time to even find their own style if they're looking for it.
Being from where I'm from, growing up we basically danced to the rhythm of our own drums here as we had our own Southern California style. But, due to me and a lot of friends in my age range, taking off solo in the summers and spending entire summers in Europe, on other continents, and also in other states, we would shop items and mix them with our vibe here to create our own style.
We were very eclectic and not so cookie cutter. I'm the same way now and have always mixed in very ethnic pieces of clothing when I need to cleanse my palate. This whole week, again I've been looking at fashion pieces from Los Ojos, along with other similar design houses. Beautiful pieces. I've also worn fashion from North Africa, West Africa, South America, the U.S. Southwest, Bhutan, Southeast Asia, Japan, etc. One doesn't need to only stick to basic Western fashion to express oneself.
We also have Mexico to the south of us and Hawaii to the west of us and there have been fashion influences from both places. I remember my mom and I taking off on vacation to Hawaii for a week when I was 15 and I loved the Hawaiian fashion vibe, which was also big here back then. And I also loved picking up items in Mexico.
As for Chanel, oh boy. I remember going into the boutique on the rue Cambon in Paris and buying my first bag, a small black leather quilted one that was only sold in France. Gorgeous bag. Double gold chain with black intertwined leather and the double Cs in both gold and silver (maybe platinum). Price.....around $680. That was in the early-mid 80s. I should have held on to that bag. Now, I have only one Chanel bag, a gorgeous black quilted zip-top tote style handbag from the early-mid 90s and that's it for me. Designer houses have lost their minds with the pricing.
I was typing my comments before I got to the end of your discussion where you also started talking about the need for fashion to slow down.
Greetings from Los Angeles
Happy Saturday Queen Awe-Star and Queen Cookie! I simply adore you both. Outstanding conversation. Thank you both for keeping it 100 % on “all the things!“ I could have listened for another two hours. ❤❤❤Keep up the exceptional content and congratulations Moni on your upcoming anniversary!
❤ loved this episode as well as episode 1 with Breon, I love when people talk from a genuine knowledge and love of fashion and not just its luxury brand and it's stunning and fabulous. 😏
Carolyn is one of my favorite new creators, found her last year and totally loves her style , personality and real fashion knowledge. Also she is so naturally funny.
The bar is set for episode 3, waiting. Also, I Monica I love your knowledge of fashion especially leather also, awe-some show 🫶🏾
AwwStarr and a Cookie
Yes! Me too! ⭐️ and 🍪! 💞
I love you Monica, "I can pop off " lol yes Monica. I enjoyed this video, Carolyn is funny on her channel!
I loved this interview. I love Carolyn Gray’s personality and her style.
Great episode ❤ Mary Kate and Ashley has been in the fashion game a long time. When they were kids, their line used to be in Walmart.
i absolutely loved this show.. It was just an honest conversation without the fluff.
Love this episode! I love when I find other people who get excited about fashion! ❤
It is nice to see you, Carolyn and Monica together. Wow!
I am an Allstarr and a Cookie! ❤❤❤
YAY!! Thank you for watching

Enjoyed this! Feels like what Jenee is doing and always enjoy it!thank you
You must be new here because I started Styled for Success January 2023. This has been a concept that I’ve been working on since 2022 and finally brought to fruition in 2023. Thanks for watching. Check out the playlist and have a great weekend.
@@awedbymonica I’m happy you are doing this and enjoy both of you! No shade and no I’m not new always love watching you! Don’t comment to often
Thank you for your understanding. I've received similar comments recently, so I wanted to clarify that this series isn't new; it's been in the works for over a year and a half. While I haven't had the chance to watch Jenee's series yet, knowing her, I'm sure it's fantastic (I'm a bit behind on UA-cam videos, haha). I launched this series because many of my friends share a passion for fashion but aren't content creators themselves. I wanted to provide them, as well as my fellow fashion enthusiasts, with a platform to share their style tips and inspire women to look and feel their best. If you haven't checked out Season One yet, be sure to give it a watch!
YAAAASSSS this was a whole FABFAB Vibe!! Monica was right, I stayed for the whole video! Thanks again for letting me into this conversation on fashion with Carolyn!! Had me laughing out loud at work. Cheers Queens!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE Schiaparelli - Daniel Roseberry; Artistic Director. I MUST have the shoes that look like feet, and there is a beaded pouch clutch with the gold nose & jeweled septum that they're not selling online. Im wondering if it was only runway or no longer part of their collection. However I want that bag so bad that Im going to contact them, or maybe use a source to located it. I need to see the bag in person though to ensure its worth the high price point - it looks worth it; quality, craftsmanship, & timeless. Gift to myself, and I deserve it. 💞🩷💕
