As others have already pointed out, this is not my idea of justice. A premeditated murder, desecration of a body by the murderer, robbing an innocent child of his mother, and all the rest. The sentence does not reflect an adequate punishment for such a horrendous crime. Not knowing how the NZ laws are structured regarding Capital murder makes me think it is possible to take another person’s life and receive a mild slap on the wrist kind of punishment. Not justice.
The hardest thing in my opinion would be to continue living with myself knowing what a thrash I am. That is much harder than prison time. At least for me.

Although he was in all likelihood completely dishonest as to what sent him into the murderous rage, I hope they followed through with DNA testing of the child. It might be the only good news the son could get out of this horrific story - he IS NOT your father! May the victim RIP and his son not be tormented every day by what happened. Karen
The son is surely his as the child is living with his mother in a rural area in NZ . In the words of Carmen's mother Teresa Scott who lives in S Africa 'her daughter had come to New Zealand from England for Jack's dad, whom she met in the UK and later separated from. She had a marketing degree and had initially worked at a recruitment agency when she moved to Auckland' Mother daughter did not share the best of relationships & the last communication was by email some 9 weeks before the murder. @@mrquick6775 That sounds like quite a stretch in thinking to me. First, my opinion is in no way based on caring less for men than women - a really big stretch on your part. Second, how can you possibly assume he would be telling the truth about anything? An even bigger stretch is required to think a psychopath/sociopath is capable of offering anything other than lies at the best of times; when facing consequences for their actions as he was at that time, truthfulness is practically unheard of. Third, some of us are capable of deciphering individual cases based on the facts presented and without making gender a consideration. If there was any proof that she had indeed lied to him about paternity, that would have been despicable, but still not justification to do what he did. How anyone could reach the conclusion that she brought this all on by lying about paternity says much more about you than her, and goes beyond simple stretching of the facts. Did you even watch the video? I'm led to believe that you have been wronged, from your perspective, by one or more females in the past. Or are you just aiming to get under the skin of others? Karen
@@mrquick6775 I feel my reply to you was overly harsh and apologize for that. You seem genuine and please know that some of us are able to care equally for either gender, depending on the circumstances. Some of the information you listed is skewed however as she didn't destroy any life - the creep only came up with the idea of accusing her of the paternity lie in an attempt to lessen his culpability once in court and facing the charges. It actually could have been a blessing for the son though if it had been true. You offered me love and blessings earlier, and I would like to reciprocate with same. Take care. Karen

Seriously, I think some countries have to reconsider sentencing. What kind of citizen will a man make if he's capable of killing his son's mother. Can't change evil.
None of these murders make any sense whatsoever. WHY? Why do people do these horrendous things to another human and discard them as if they were only trash? It baffles me as to how they think they'll get away with it and then the poor child/children are the ones to suffer. How do they explain this to their children when they are grown, what they did to the other parent? It takes a special kind of wickedness, I think.

Not justice.
seriously - and what year was he sentenced? he could be out by the time his kid is in his early 20s
The hardest thing in my opinion would be to continue living with myself knowing what a thrash I am. That is much harder than prison time. At least for me.
@@Bringiton513 Your reply tells me you are a better person than that killer will ever be. He is not suffering a moment of remorse for his heinous crime; he is remorseful over being caught.
Officially, it's life for the killing plus six years for the dismemberment, but he is eligible for parole after 13 years and change - which is just around the corner in 2025.
13 years and 7 months for murdering, butchering and hiding a corpse. No justice for Carmen's family or her son
he also planned it for monhs
definitely lenient punishment relative to US justice system where you can be behind bars more for non violent crimes.
He was sentenced to LIFE in prison with the possibility of parole in 13 years
If you want to basically get away with murder go to the UK. THEY OFTEN talk about how harsh punishment is in America….when you take a life, you should expect to give up yours. Murdering and dismembering a young women’s body …and the penalty is ONLY 13 years? That’s an insult not only to the victim but to her family and friends as well! In America he would have gotten a life sentence, that’s what he deserved!
They said he got the most severe punishment:
13 years hahahaha
Here’s to hoping trump gets the most severe punishment as well
umm what 13 years for killing a mother and cutting up her body???
investigators put so much effort to pick up culprice and judge destroy their work. 13 years for destroy a beautiful girl? Is that all?!

If I would have killed all my ex's ( 3 ) I'd be out by now! If he was convicted in 2010 , he's getting out soon!
I love how the UK detectives are so thorough! Even the scientists and forensic experts are explaining everything in details that I’m over here wishing they’d stop so criminals don’t take notes 😅
I think they are in New Zealand
They're kiwis.
Not UK. New Zealand
Does anybody ever go into one of these shows hoping that just one or two times it isn't the spouse? But hey, there's still 20 minutes to go so....
Great detective work
RIP beautiful Carmine.
No justice for this woman he received a slap on the back 😢
Wrist.
When he gets out (after that slap on the wrist) he'll do it again.
Not if he stays away from prostitutes that lie about child paternity! 🙄
Peace and blessings’
Such a coward man. Killing an innocent lady
Innocent?🙄 she was a horrible person.. making him pay for a child that wasn’t his ..

Rest in Peace, Beautiful Carmen ❤🌹❤️
Although he was in all likelihood completely dishonest as to what sent him into the murderous rage, I hope they followed through with DNA testing of the child. It might be the only good news the son could get out of this horrific story - he IS NOT your father! May the victim RIP and his son not be tormented every day by what happened.
Karen
The son is surely his as the child is living with his mother in a rural area in NZ . In the words of Carmen's mother Teresa Scott who lives in S Africa 'her daughter had come to New Zealand from England for Jack's dad, whom she met in the UK and later separated from. She had a marketing degree and had initially worked at a recruitment agency when she moved to Auckland'
Mother daughter did not share the best of relationships & the last communication was by email some 9 weeks before the murder. Communication between them was not frequent.
What about the life that she destroyed. I have no SIMPathy for someone who lies about paternity, then makes a man pay child support for a child that’s not even his. 🙄
She was a horrible human being. Smdh nobody cares about what men go through and maybe if they did, then she would still be alive!
Peace and blessings’
Karen
@@karenbutnotthatkaren5528 ok 👍 👌
@@mrquick6775 I feel my reply to you was overly harsh and apologize for that. You seem genuine and please know that some of us are able to care equally for either gender, depending on the circumstances. Some of the information you listed is skewed however as she didn't destroy any life - the creep only came up with the idea of accusing her of the paternity lie in an attempt to lessen his culpability once in court and facing the charges. It actually could have been a blessing for the son though if it had been true. You offered me love and blessings earlier, and I would like to reciprocate with same. Take care.
Karen
Many people are upset with the amount of time he received and rightfully so
It’s the same here in the USA
People receive more time for manslaughter than 1st degree
It’s sickening and a slap in the face to the families 😢
The wheelie bin forensic guy is a dead ringer for the clumsy worker in the indestructible shoe commercial.
What a joke 13years and 7 month.
Great video! That being said as an American is hilarious to hear adults in a serious tone calling something a “wheely bin” over & over 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I get that’s what it’s called over there… statement still stands
Why never life sentences ❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓
Women’s lives aren’t valued.
Seriously, I think some countries have to reconsider sentencing. What kind of citizen will a man make if he's capable of killing his son's mother. Can't change evil.
@@jeanbeans7926t was not HIS child! She was spreading lies and bad karma!
Peace and blessings’
The sentencing there is crazy 13 years and 7 months? I’m amazed at the small amount of time people get for killing people in other countries
03:55 "her trade name was Misty" that dude is funny
Rule #1: Don't search on google from your own computer on how to commit the perfect murder.
Yeah sentencing in the UK is as laughable as overhere.... Must be totally agonizing for her family. There has been no justice in this case at all.
