Absolutely love your philosophy on bonsai, your comments on how you should style the trees to please yourself and not others really resonate. You clearly have a tremendous passion for what you are doing and a willingness to pass your knowledge and experience onto others is amazing. You also have a collection to die for there are some amazing trees around you. Your collection of blue cedar alone is stunning. I've never seen so many in one place! I've only just "discovered " the species at potential bonsai and recently managed to get hold of 2 small untrained specimens from a local garden centre to start on their journey to becoming bonsai so am watching this video avidly to try and learn as much about them as possible.
@@TheJasonappleton Thank you for your kind words :) I’m so glad that i be able to share all to whom may needs Good luck to your collection in coming years specially Blue cedar
@MadamBonsai2023 thank you for your reply. Only just discovered your videos and they are a joy to watch. Educational, informative and captivating. The passion you have for your trees is obvious and gives us as viewers a real belief in what you say and do. Just heading into winter, here in the UK but itching to get started on the blue cedar in the spring. In the meantime I'll just have to enjoy the rest of your videos.

I don't know how Negative Nancy could make those comments when you have the yard/garden like you do!! Does she think those are all fake? I also sometimes wish I was a man so I can build things like bonsai benches and maybe a potting bench. I am 61 now and in my 30's-40's, and even early 50's I would have tackled such projects, and I did. But I was just not into bonsai back then and my health is not so good anymore either. WOW!!!! That transformation was incredible!!! It looks so wonderful!!Great job!!!
Lisa, you're a great reminder that women can be incredibly strong and positive forces in life! What you said about my Graden is so true ::) We can get Man to help us build what we can’t 😅
Crazy how people will talk, saying that the pine would be dead. The couple of trees I got from you were in top shape and are doing well through winter. The White pine was a bit nerve wrecking, but as you said, look at your tree, work with confidence. It came out very nice. I havent touch the bougainvillea yet but there will be time for that! Hope you are better soon, this winter is kicking all our bottoms, but always time for bonsai. No bonsai, no life 😊.

I would rather watch you work in detail for hours than waste hours watching someone skip through the detail and miss all the important knowledge that I personally seek. Love your trees and work....❤ That person making bad comments, is just jealous..and should be watching closely and learn something. Thank you for all the great videos. Your knowledge is immense and passion infectious. You are reaching an audience worldwide (Ontario Canada). I support you declaration that styling is for personal enjoyment rather than reproducing existing designs. I try to reproduce that from memory which is very satisfying. You are providing me the techniques to do so. Thank you.
