How does one keep a bonzi alive? I clipped and water and gave sunlight, but my bonzi died. I purchased it at the Gardena shopping mall. This and other plants that I take home and they die despite my caring for them. I am not doctor green thumb for sure but I don't give up.
Well first of all, trees have to live outside. The only time that they should be inside is if the temperature is going to be below 40 degrees. They should be watered whenever the soil feels and looks dry. Whether that is once a day, once a week or 3 times a day.
First thing I do is slip pot them in a little bigger pot with great soil and fertilizer. I have bought a tree that had glued rocks on top. How does water penetrate.
I had the same problem. Bonsai Empire won't steer you wrong. Their videos and instructions have helped me. You just have to pay attention to the individual needs of your trees. The more you stick with it, the more you learn. Don't give up!
I was glad to see some eccentrically styled yamadori that push the limits. Also noticed he keeps his conifers in fairly deep pots.

Have you read some info on our website (www.bonsaiempire.com) already? :)

To be honest, I personally am not a great fan of Bonsai that look artificial and more like a sculpture than a real tree.
