  • Pyrolysis oil cleaning and deodorization can be done using reagents that are easily obtainable from your local supermarket. Here's how:
    1. Put the pyrolysis oil into a treatment vessel.
    2. To begin mixing the oil, supply air.
    3. Add a 10% solution of 90% water, 7% sodium carbonate, and 3% sodium silicate to the oil. The amount of solution should be 10% by volume.
    4. Mix the oil and solution together for half an hour.
    5. Allow the oil to settle for 8 hours. During this time, it should undergo the process of deodorization and coagulation.
    6. Now drain any separated water from the oil.
    7. Heat up the oil to 60°C and add approximately 20% of water to it.
    8. Mix the oil and solution together for half an hour.
    9. Heat up the oil and maintain a temperature of 60°C for 3 hours to facilitate the separation of water.
    10. Now drain any separated water from the oil.
    11. Run the oil through a centrifuge equipped with an inline heater. Set the heater at 110°C.
    12. To finish deodorization and coagulation, add approximately 1.5% of propyl alcohol to the centrifuged oil.
    13. To prepare the solution, mix the oil and propyl alcohol together thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes.
    14. Return the blend of oil and propyl alcohol to the container being used for treatment.
    15. Run the oil through a centrifuge equipped with an inline heater. Set the heater at 110°C.
    16. Now you can use the deodorized tar-free oil as a base for lubricant production or as oil burner fuel.

    How well do you find the breville deep fryer does for heating?

      Very good, you can set the temperature and time, the elements shield load is designed for oil, so no burning.

    Do you think that will work instead of centrifuge to stir the mix with blender and den let den settle for day or two? How you despose the water clas resedue?

      Yes you can settle it this way, though you'll need to keep it at 65c constantly, this is the best water separation temperature, also after settling I would recommend to use some silica gel, it will drastically improve the quality of the fuel.

    What are the pros and cons using carbonate instead of hydroxide?

      Cheap, non toxic, non corrosive, no methyl or ethyl alcohol is required, but there is a need to run the emultion through a centrifuge.

    What about using muriatic acid to clean the black brownish light diesel oil

    Dầu nấu từ lốp xe có phải dầu diesel không anh

    • @santeryi9
      @santeryi9  3 місяці тому

      Dầu làm từ lốp nhiệt phân gần giống với thành phần diesel, trên thực tế, nó không phải là nhiên liệu diesel, nhưng có thể được làm sạch khỏi lưu huỳnh và thêm các chất phụ gia đặc biệt để làm cho nó gần giống với nhiên liệu diesel nhất có thể, sau khi được xử lý và chuẩn bị. có thể được sử dụng làm nhiên liệu diesel.

    Please the amount of solution that can be use to treat 20 litre of pyrolysis oil

    • @santeryi9
      @santeryi9  3 місяці тому

      I mentioned that it is 10% out of volume treated, so for 20L of oil you'll need 2L of 10% solution.

    I forget...... have you yet experimented with the Gelatin method of cleaning WMO, Pyrolysis oil or any other oils? Video below, the first half (pre the part of adding Kerosene) hits the concept.

      I tried, it possibly works with some fatty acids (vege oil) but inert towards the hydrocarbons, so it is not work with hydrocarbon based oil.

      @@santeryi9 I was thinking more about just if it helped remove contaminants better than a first centrifuge filter pass???. or if even possible to do, create an "acidic" gelatin so as it makes its way thru oil toward the bottom / pre solidifying.... it might also pull out "additives"
