Good to know how to do that. In the Western European "industrialized countries" we will sooner or later also need such technology. Current policies are destroying the industrial base of European countries, corruption and degeneration are spreading. So thank you for this technique to make yourself independent. SINCE IN MEXICO THEY INVENTED A LARGE MACHINE THAT IS SELF-SUPPLIED WITH GAS FOR THE PROCESS. THE GAS IS OBTAINED FROM THE SAME PROCESS AND COULD IN THEORY BE USED TO FEED TOTAL OR PART OF THE FIRE

you should get that fuel tested in a lab to get a more precise chemical composition, then you could come up with a process to refine it further into a better fuel.

This! Is a good idea 💡 Also, I would encourage putting a rocket stove under the retort. By controlling the temperature, different compounds can be distilled at specific ratios. Also, increasing the burn efficiency will result in higher yields. These aspects are related and should be measured together.

Well the question is what kind of fuel is that!?
What are the characteristics of the resulted gases mixed with water??
How efficient is it compared with (Gas or Diesel) grades?
How much is the optimum safe ratio between Water and the Gas extract that would make it efficient?
What is the maximum saturation ratio of water to the extracted gas? And how safe is it?
What the safe applications for the extracted gas?
And finally is mixing it with Biofuel would be safe, dangerous, or more efficient? So if applicable would it be a possible optimizer or alternative that no mater the ratio of mixing both would be?
Those answers would “Benchmark” the Standard safe cases and utilization limits of that fuel and probably would help to estimate its economic value of self producing it in a moderate scale or not!
I could even make the production cost and environmental debt to reach almost Zero if we consider the minuscule cost of heat generated which I could eliminate both overheads in one cheap shot with more heat generated for absolute free from scrap components!

The hydrogen in the fuel gives the viscosity - I worked in the oil and gas industry for yrs -
The heavy tar oil that plastic is made from today was once used as production. Fuel -
Even in the early 1980s tar oil was used as a plant fuel -
It's very profitable for facility's to generate polymers out of oil -
Once say a blastic item is discarded it's a valuable fuel -
There are places on the world were plastic is gathered off beaches by people and it's sold by the pound -
Then it's used to fire small power plants in those regions of the world -
It's a fraction of the cost of oil or coal -

I've been thinking about this process and taking as much of that plastic strap as possible and converting it to fuel for my own use. Now I think it's actually possible.... Shall I try it? All plastic is basically oil or tar oil - the stiffer the plastic is there will be less retrievable oil - a car tire can be 1 or two gallon of oil - it's very flexible so more oil can be retrieved from a tire - in many areas of the world oil is retrieve out of tires -
That's been going on for 70 yrs - the product left is carbon and is compressed into charcoal cubes -

You would have to experiment to see what depth you want to go to so that it doesn't cool down into liquid before it comes back out again. If you can find some way to replace wood burning with a solar-powered process like a Fresnel lens, then you would even be more efficient in creating your fuel

i mean, its almost a limitless supply of fuel if we can make it as cheap as burying it or shipping it to asia where they just dump it into the oceans. or india where it ends up in heaps and burns anyways.
i know the issues are things like bopahl india in the 80s we dont need a repeat and im sure the byproducts and fumes are dangerous if released.

IN THE ANHYDROUS STATE, wood has an average calorific value of 5.2 kWh/kg
Diesel fuel, which is denser, provides 10.7 kWh/litre.
Very serious question; How many kg of wood are needed to produce 1 liter of diesel?
You can understand that if you only need 2 kg, the process breaks even.
If more than 2 kg is needed, it is a loss and is not worth it; consumes more energy than it produces!

This is never going to save the planet, because you are releasing a lot of pollution to get a relatively small amount of diesel. It could however be very useful in a survival situation where there is a lot of wood and plastic rubble laying around, but a few liters of diesel to run a generator or drive to someplace safe is a matter of life and death.

Lo que sucede es que el uso madera, pero hay reactores que usan su mismo gas inflamable y se autosustentan, osea, no hace falta meterle madera para encenderlo, sino que lo prenden con su mismo gas

Bois you better check bottom of the processing steel tank after few runs because residual carbon accumulates at the bottom and needs to be scraped

a great idea especially for the 3rd world, whole villages could get involved and have cheap heating fuels and diesel for trucks etc,
QUESTION, what is the rate of return, IE for every tonne of waste how many gallons of usable fuels can you make.

All the chlorine in mixed waste plastic will not only make toxic smoke but also turn into hydrochloric acid that eats your car motor away.

Así se hace la acetona? Tienes algún videito que me aconsejes, o me mandes el link, sería doble utilidad para un emprendedor, sacaría acetona y sacaría carbón. Muy interesante, yo creía (hasta el momento) que lo que saldría era aceite

What we want is to get rid of all the waste plastic waste so that it doesn't end up in the oceans or land fields. You're doing that by burning lots of wood, it doesn't make any sense at all... That wood could have been used for cooking or for keeping warm in winter. Why not use waste plastic instead of wood?

You can do a lot better! First container 2 holes one in, one out (no vents) to second same container to third container with water input into the water to bubble then the exit tube to steel pipe to burn the gasses in the fire for the reactor vessel. The first container will be heavier oils that you should put in the next reaction, second container will be suitable for running a generator or other non automotive engine without issues. I've run this pyrolic conversion several times. Although I find the best results using car tire chunks and plastic jammed in super tight.

The amount of firewood used to make the fire offsets the gain of the fuel you need to make a system that uses a magnifying solar heating system that can heat straight from the Sun then that would be practical

I'm not so much convinced. Less plastic visible around us, that's true. But also less trees if you use too much wood (ratio wood burned vs petrol like fluid qty), and air pollution so health issues during the process. It start from a good idea anyway, really, and maybe this process can be improved to be profitable and safe.
