I truly enjoyed this interview with Ms Kim Berry she gave a open talk about Prince I really heard alot she kept it REAL thank God so many ppl would have sugar coated it but not her God will bless her many times over Prince helped her so much in business to be more than a hairdresser thank you Prince for giving this young woman a chance she has been through so much the bond they had together she will never lose I can only say I don't know how she feel but my heart goes out to her may she always have the give of what she have in her forever thank you Ms Berry for the in look in to Prince's life..God bless you.

I've been a fan of his since DAY ONE!!! The pic that's posted of her doing his hair, I said..."who took THAT pic"?? Because I KNEW how secretive he was about doing his hair. I STILL have that pic saved in my phone!! The position Kim was in, is a unique one. As she said, she saw ALOT of his ups and downs. SMH!! This was AWESOME!! I've subscribed!!

JS D LOL I'm sorry but his hair in that thumbnail looks crazy. That was not a flattering hairstyle for him. I forget the song he made with Angie Stone but, his hair looked awful in the video I certainly remembered that.
I only noticed Prince's afro looking a bit messy or ungroomed in last year or 2 prior to his death. Sorry but it looked like he needed his afro combed out, shaped/trimmed, but according to Kim he was very tendered headed so i guess he just let it

Kim, that was such a beautiful interview. You are such a real person that God lead to another real person, which was Prince. You both were a blessing to each other. You both learned from each other and I'm sure he would say this if he were here in the physical. I felt the hurt when you broke down and cried, I cried along with you. Kim, Prince is still here in spirit and he will live on. Just like you said, "There will never be another" and that's the honest truth!! I'am so glad I saw him the last time he was in L.A. at the Forum, I went to 3 shows, the best concerts I've ever gone to!! Prince took us all on a journey and he kept going like a shooting star across the cold dark sky! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Love this interview. Thankful to hear some stories about Princes hair and the close relationship She had with Prince. She sure have seen and been through a lot with him over the years, just wish she could have saved him from his addiction to pain meds. Kandi Kane, it's time for us to let him go. It was his time. It was more than an addiction he was sick and he was taking the meds to manage his pain and was trying to push through his shows. There was nothing Kim or nobody could do. It was THE PLAN.
Poor Bug, You are right, I still find it hard to believe he is gone and to let go. I suppose there wasnt really anything anybody could do to save him, although some people tried. At least Prince is free from all his pain now, may his sweet soul rest in peace.
+Pooh Bugg It is the truth that his transition was the plan, no doubt. He was too good for this place, anyway. I knew it wasn't going to last forever. I struggle every day with him being gone. I loved him from the beginning. My life memories include this wonderful man. Thank God I saw him live in concert. But looking back, I realized how much of him I missed and it makes me really sad. I want more. I used to really struggle with the idea of what happened, how it happened, why it happened, where was everyone, why, God why?...then I slowly got past it. But, let him go... nah, I am not ready...

Stella, what does TMH mean? I know we are all only here temporarily, we are only passing through this earth and all must die some wway and someday. I just wasn't ready for Prince to die yet, he was suppose to live longer but i know that unrealistic.

When Kim started to cry I got whipped into that emotional wave. Im sure that was true for many all over that were listening.
I have the hope of seeing my spiritual brother prince Rogers Nelson,In the( New World ) or Paradise ,here on Earth when all things are made new,pain,Sickness and Death will be No more.......Only. peace and Joy forever for all mankind,(All things will be Ruled by Jesus Christ our Lord.
I love this man, no matter if someone was mean enough to spit venom on him, it would not effect that love, nor can death. What he left with us is way more valuable than human frailties or faults....he was beautiful, warm, spiritual and kind. There will never be a replacement for him, he was an original. I resepct Kim, she told us enough. without disresepcting him, and honored him gracefully. I think her for that. So many try to tare people down after deaths, and spill their secrets, she did not, so happy, bless you sister, thats how you do it. Price would be proud. Rest in Peace King Prince Nelson...forever you will be missed.

Always wondered about Prince's natural hair colour. I think its actually brown and he dyed it black cos its so different from his eyebrows and facial hair which looks an auburn colour. In early days with afro and pressed hair it looks natural brown. Would love to ask Kim if that's the case. Love that picture of them bathed in the afternoon sun coming through the window. He looks so serene and young like a teenager so does Kim.

Daricio Ricci And he did keep a youthful appearance absolutely. Did you see his passport picture? OMGosh the world went gaga. In anycase I fell in love with him all over again. That was late 2015 or early 2016. I can understand your shock but that's how he started with a giant afro bigger than The Jacksons (and I loved The Jacksons). Was so so proud of the natural hair he was rocking he did whatever he wanted when he wanted. I have a picture of him side by side almost the same smile at aged 18 or 19 and 56. They are almost identical. Afro Prince was my favourite eras youthful sexy without trying genius and wisdom all rolled together.
I heard that the ''Good Hair'' documentary by Chris Rock gave Mr.Nelson a different perspective
Djrealign Not a fan of Chris Rock so would not seek out his work. However what I have stumbled across or been sent to me has been genius. Also imagine that he would lampoon you with his comedy. So what's the good hair thing about?

Miss Kim is a down to earth person as she speaks you could feel her love and respect for Prince and she is the Ultima hair designer beautician . He was in her life and they had history together . Im greatful she is sharing her experiences with Prince and im glad she got a career with this artist known as Prince . Of 29 years .
I loved listening to this because like he said, she told us things that makes us feel and know Prince was a cool dude and normal like everybody else.
When I heard her cry,.it made me shed a tear too, a sad reminder he's gone.

Her daddy was a wise man. Lots of fathers think/hope their children will watch and learn. Just pick up the lesson naturally. But her dad verbalized the lesson as well.....spoke it aloud in memorable words. And she never forgot the lesson or the words.

I remember when I was little. N the first time when I saw Prince on t.v. n I think I was watching mtv. I use to watch mtv a lot. When I was little. To see if I would see a vid from some of my favorite artist. Or a song that I like. N on that day when I first seen Prince. I said to myself. That's my boyfriend. N I use to tell everyone that. Prince is my boyfriend.

I can believe everything she said I'm from Minnesota never got to see him perform live, but I ran into him twice in the Twin Cities and talked to him.
I completely enjoyed your interview my love. You sound like a beautiful beautiful person. There's nothing here said that surprises me about my Dude. He was truly special. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can only wish I could have been as close as you got to be. No romance, only to sit and chill with him. You and i are the exact same age. So cool. When I heard the news I glanced at my cell phone which was blowning up! With text messages....I was like... What in the world is going on? I opened one message from my sister which read simply..... Are you alright? Have you heard about Prince? I paused.... Thinking to myself, heard what? Never imagining....Then I opened another message, cuz I was like what is she taking about.... The other message simply said .... You heard about your boy Prince, the news is saying he died.... And I just stared at the phone, closed it and leaned against the table (I work in a school) ... I'm in complete denial mine you. Thank goodness it was almost time to leave because I just wanted to get to the radio cuz I swore everybody was buggy out..... In my mind I kept saying he's fine, he's fine, he was just in the hospital, so he's fine. I get to my car and there it was. I couldn't drive or leave the parking lot for over an hour. Over and over in my head I just kept saying it can't be, they are all mistaken...... This is a bad bad dream....When finally got home, I was so focused as I watched CNN till 2 am ....(still haven't cried yet) when I woke up in the morning, CNN was still on and they were still talking about him ......and I lost it! I just collapsed to the floor and sat there balling like a baby.... It was real..... He's really gone.... My Dude, my Dude.... Cuz that's what I call him. Yes my friend growing up with Prince thou not the same way you had the privilege was a trip! He was a trip. A beautiful GEM of a Man. I have to rewind to get your info and please write the book. And I can hear your heart that you have one thousand percent love for him. Just please do me one favorite. Always remember all those conversations he had with you about Jehovah, the true God. I grew up with him and we came in the truth together. I was floored when I heard he was studying the Bible and taking a stand for what he discovered were lies.... Please, look into what he was sharing with you. He expected to live through the destruction of this system of things but health and imperfection stuck it's foot out in front of him and tripped him up. But you are still alive and can have the expectation he was looking forward to and meet him once again in that new world under Paradise conditions like he would talk to you about. He spoke truth when he told you that only Jehovah God can resolve all the problems we see today. Take care Kim, your sweet. JW.org...... In the late 90s, he went on Larry King and had long hair and glitter all over it. There are several videos with glitter in it...I would love to know what product/hair spray or whatever that was, that was used on his hair??? it was gorgeous!
