He told us he was supposed work on April 20th. He didn't say why he didn't. I'm guessing he was told not to come. Prince sent everyone home. Why is the question. If he was that bad off. She's right. She was there before and after nearly all those people (ie., PA's, girlfriends, wives, accountants, lawyers, clothing designers, photographers, maids). Kim was also there before and after my cousin who was one of Prince's' many Sound Engineer's for 9 years in the 90's.

Haddie Lewis Yeah except he didn't choose a black women. For his wife anyway. People can point fingers but individuals are responsible for their own choices. No one, black or otherwise, was going to change the outcome unfortunately. Only Prince could do that. Personally, I think it would have served him better to date women (marry) his own age. But he probably dated/married younger women (or girls in Mayte's case) for a reason. He didn't want anyone standing up to him. He wanted to be in control and for everyone to do what he said.
I agree everyone is responsible for their own choices. However, I do think in Prince's case he needed someone strong enough to give him a little tough love. A woman gentle enough that he knows it's pure love but tough enough for him to recognize the best choices for himself and well being. I also agree marrying closer to his age might have been a good idea. I think, though, that if younger women was his preference then she would have needed to have the maturity of an older woman in order to be a true match for him. You're right, too, that he probably did think a younger woman would likely do whatever he said without question. Whatever the reason, in the end, he died alone and that still tears me up inside. When he was alive, Prince was going through alot. I guess that's why he needed someone like Kim Berry in his life. All he ever wanted to do was make music for us to enjoy, and it's funny how he had to fight with people to even do that. Earl Jones was the uncle of Jill Jones, I believe Earl came in around the same time Jill Jones entered the Prince camp in the around 1982 and Earl Jones worked with Prince, heck, collaborated, through about 1989. Then it was another guy that did Prince's blow out in 1990 and maybe did the Typhoon style. So, 30 years? Unless she was an assistant but I've followed Prince's career and can write a thesis on his outfits and hair styles and what it all meant and I NEVER heard of her until she entered doing T-Boz shaved spot hairstyle for Prince in the 1995 Gold Experience era. I miss him so much. N l wish that he was still alive. The music n entertainment industry has lost a lot of losses. We have lost a lot of beautiful talents. They had graced the world with there presence n music n song's n movies and stuff. N l just hope that we don't have to suffer anymore tragedies like that again.

Ha! Kept it real! Somebody should of looked at Prince hairstyle during the Emancipation and NPS, Rainbow Children/ONA era and said NOOO!!!! And 30 years??? Didn't Berry enter Prince's hair styling days sometime in 1995? Was she the one to do the several different versions of the Typhoon? Prince's hairstylist in 1987 was Earl Jones who was a GENIUS and Prince's very best hair stylist. Earl Jones was the uncle of Jill Jones, I believe Earl came in around the same time Jill Jones entered the Prince camp in the around 1982 and Earl Jones worked with Prince, heck, collaborated, through about 1989. Then it was another guy that did Prince's blow out in 1990 and maybe did the Typhoon style. So, 30 years? Unless she was an assistant but I've followed Prince's career and can write a thesis on his outfits and hair styles and what it all meant and I NEVER heard of her until she entered doing T-Boz shaved spot hairstyle for Prince in the 1995 Gold Experience era.
