- Kim Berry worked with Prince for 29 years styling his hair and being his sounding board for a number of topics. Not many others stayed in his orbit for that long. Berry talks with Andrea Swensson about her favorite hairstyles, her upcoming book and what gave her the longevity in Prince's universe.
The interviewer did a great job. No fake laughing, no kissing ass. And she let the lady speak without interrupting. That's rare these days.
His hair was always on point. She could do some mean finger waves. Thanks Kim for keeping Prince looking great all those years.

Not really. I never told any of my former hair dresser my business. I do not think she and prince were personal friend. The media always said prince was very private about his personal life. She is trying to capitalized on prince fame.
I truly doubt Prince told Kim anything of significance about, say, his love life. I really doubt it. I think he probably just wanted her to DO HIS HAIR alone and maybe didn’t even talk much while she was doing his hair. We all know how very private he was and he was private when it came to her too. Some on here are saying that she sold information to the press about where he was going to be (when he was attempting to be incognito) and if that’s true, what kind of friend is that?!

When people ask in reference to the women he dated, what diff. does it make because we'd like to know the truth due to so much speculation (Prince was a Master at keeping you wondering & the mystery is part of the fascination), none of it matters. Sadly, he's gone but I think knowing stuff you've always wondered about (at least for me) makes me feel a bit closer to him & in this case makes me smile In between crying.

I wonder if Andy Allo knows that Kim is publicly outing their relationship. This is the second or third time she’s mentioned it. She and Prince always kept hush hush about their relationship and Andy is respectful of keeping that private and only talks about their working/collaborative relationship when asked about P.
Kim mentioned it on her recent interviews too.Instead of dating she said he was "with" a young lady,Andy Allo and she said he told her "I wanna fro like Andy's!" In another recent interview she said he was "rockin out with Andy Allo." I guess she feels she should tell people about their relationship. I wonder if Andy knows about it too.
I don’t think Andy cares. She posted about their relationship.
I remember her posting on Facebook about how he told her he loved her. He had her face on his shirt and she asked him why and he said “Because I love you”.
That post was deleted expeditiously! 😂
She also posted when he left us. She said he taught her about love and then he taught her about heartbreak.
It was definitely no secret. The way he looked at her. He was in LOVE.
No one had a greater impact on Princes music, image, and expression then Andy Allo. The music they made together, the mentorship and relationship, they wore each others clothes and faces, hand and hand in public, their relationship did not need to be officially discussed, listen to their music from 2011-2015, their duets, her lyrics in his music… people romanticize about his past love interest, but his greatest love was music, and he let no one in his music like Andy… from a lifelong fan, thank you for the light you gave to Prince,.

It obvious by this interview Kim was a pro's pro: No nonsense, always ready to do her job at higher-than-expected standards, no games, total integrity. That's a rare breed of employee. Makes sense why Prince kept her in his employ. Respect and RIP to the Purple One.
