Dear Nicolas, i may have experienced well over eight decades of life but am charmed by your unique calm and gentle and artistic personality. You are a breath of fresh air in these harsh times. You inspire me to always enjoy the finer things in life .... thankyou x
Aww that is so kind! Thank you! x
How refreshing to find someone who enjoys the finer things in life so relaxing thank you
I wholeheartedly agree Miss Hunter . Nicolas is a gentle refreshing breeze
I am 74 and I am so inspired by him.
Lovely kind words Maureen, I love his gentle calming voice. He will go far in this world I can’t wait to see!
This was what my Mother who passed away a year ago loved, fresh flowers, beautiful table top decor and entertaining. Our society is trying to take this away. Millenials do not want family heirlooms. Society is telling us to get rid of Grandmother's silver tea sets, because nobody entertains that way anymore. Thank you for bringing this back to us.
This is sadly true, I am trying to sell my China set because I am leaving the country but I don’t think I could give it away at this point 😕
Thinking of you x
Yes!! So frustrating. I watched another UA-camr who is an interior designer talk about tossing grandma’s China cabinet because “no one has China cabinets anymore.” I was sick!!
Whoah Nicholas looks and speaks like extremely elegant foreign prince. Such a gentle and mesmerising person.
That is the perfect war to describe him!!
He has a white aura. Very rare there are very few.
He is a prince
He is foreign. He's from Birmingham!!
I agree too, I think Nicolas is like a beautiful well spoken, graceful Angel. I really wish I could just put him in my pocket and get him out when I need a pep talk in how to be more elegant and sophisticated, lol.
Nicholas is the Bob Ross of decor, food and etiquette- just mesmerizing to watch and listen to, filled to the brim with charm and you can tell is such a warm hearted person ❤️
That is really sweet! Thank you! x
Exactly!! Perfect comparison to Bob Ross!!
yess ♡
That's a great comparison! They both have a calm demeanor that is quite lacking in our "X-TREME!!!" society today.
This channel is comfort food for the soul ❤❤❤
So glad to hear that x
Amanda V. well said.
I totally agree
Completely agree!
YES, Nicholas can you tell me where I can order the Queen mother tea set reproduced by Charles...its lovely...I'am in Australia, exactly what Trust shops in the UK? who would ship
also I loved the aqua table mat at back of wall, so hard to find really good ones, I bought
my equine ones in Britain years ago...which are breaking up, just wish I could locate some
new ones taken from old paintings...any ideas?
I think Nicolas is reliving a past life that made a significant impression on him. Love watching.
Your china is so YOU. Your love of flowers, nature and wildlife is apparent and confirms your gentle spirit. We love you and can't wait for your next episode!
Thank you so much - I love you too! x
You are the most elegant and charming young gentleman in UA-cam... Its a pleasure to watch your videos dear Nicolas.... I really would love to enjoy a tea with you if I visit Edinburgh one day. I live in Oxford....
So kind, thank you! X
I love to.
These videos are such a refreshing change from all the noise outside. The background music is simply enchanting . The whole atmosphere is classy and regal. I always come away with great information.
I agree.. such a nice comforting bubble away from life
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoy them x
Yes,indeed
I believe the second salt & pepper shakers are “acorns,” from oak tree. Beautiful. 🙏🏼❤️
Like Maureen I am a senior and it's great to know the age of elegance still exists. My Mother's Porcelain got chipped and damaged during the war, and as children we had to live with the chipped plates until China became available in the shops. I was around 15 when I started to collect my first Royal Doulton Dinner, Tea and Coffee sets and I still have them today. I managed to replace Mum's Rose Tea set, and she still has hers. Lovely Porcelain does stand the test of time and using it everyday still gives me a buzz. I was really excited to see your collection and listen to you talking about your pieces. To learn something on how to age pots was an added bonus. Thank you for taking so much care on producing your videos, I really enjoy them 😊🌟
Dear Nicholas,
I came upon Your Channel last Weekend.
I am In Love.
Watched Every Episode I Could Find.
Your Content and The Way You Do It is Magnificent.
You are Charming and Debonaire. You are Endearing and Honest, Adorable and True.
You Put Peace in My Soul.
Thank You.
I appreciate the peaceful music and Nicholas soothing voice ! I look forward to seeing another great video ! Great distraction from all the noise in this troubled world! Shalom from Colorado! 💙🇮🇱
Thank you so much for your kindness x
You are just the cutest. Just sat down with my coffee and was like, hi, Nicolas. Love your embroidered napkins darling. How sweet of that lady to send you that China.
Thank you so much x
Another technique for ageing terracotta pots is to use a sponge and messily/generously dab plain greek yoghurt onto your pot, leave it in a dark room for a month and voilà! A perfectly aged pot.
🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷Greetings from Santa Fe, ARGENTINA 🌞.- I enjoy watching your videos because we have the same ideas for decorating homes. I like your personality and the way you talk, always calm and elegant. Thanks for sharing your kmowledge with us. 💎
Thanks for the tip!
I've done this, and it actually works! Plus, it gives me an excuse to eat the extra yogurt!
Really
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy watching your videos. You have a great personality and a very calming voice. I think it would be impossible to watch you and not feel better.
You also inspired me to pick up decorating my apartment again, so thank you for providing some motivation. 😁
Me too, I'm at it again thanks to Nick.
So glad to hear that! Thank you!
I agree. I always feel better after watching his videos. In fact I play these videos for a pick me up
He is angelic. 💕❤️💕
You set a very elegant table. It reminded me when Macy’s Department Store use to invite designers and certain NY celebrities to prepare dinner tables during the holiday season. These were the years when Macy’s was a class act and not the mishmash, let’s please everyone that it has become now.
Thank you so much x
Dear Nicholas, it seems so silly to write to you, especially through a social media site. But, I have to tell you, your videos are so uplifting, yet calming! Thank you so much for showing us your every day life!!! As well as elevated life in Edinburgh!! So lovely!! Plz keep the videos coming!! They’re really inspiring!! XOXO from Indiana, USA!!!
Thank you so much for this! X x
Such a delicate, gentle, old soul you are. With a great taste for everything. Amazing.
Thank you so much x
I swear all his videos are perfect
Same here..he’s a lovely young chap.
Pity there’s not more around like him.
So glad you enjoyed it! X
You need to show more of your sweet dog. She looked so cute with her fur pulled up like that. Your China cabinet was very nice. I love your variety. Like your pot coloring idea. Very nice, very believable.
Yes, please! I have a little 3 year old Shih Tzu named Suki who has identical coloring to yours!
More of Sophie soon x
Thank you so much Nicolas, for sharing your terra cotta pot aging technique! They are oh so expensive to purchase and so I’ve none, until now. The whole world becomes a more beautiful place when those who know how to make it so, share the secret with those who want to but don’t know how.
I just want you to know that you are a great person and that I admire you.
Thank you so much x
What a welcome respite from the world. I’ve been supporting others struggling today and then I remembered Nicolas had a video. Such a delight.
Thank you so much x
@@NicolasFairford I come to videos like yours to escape the evil in the world. THANK YOU!
Yasss Meow Meow, I have a son who I am extremely grateful and proud of. Nicolas also is a son to make any mother proud too!
Thank you!
MEOW'
If your son is devoted to would-be elitist trivia. This is an aspect of British culture that needs to go! He may be a nice soft-spoken person, but the under-lying, disguised snobbism is tedious and annoying.
I can't think of anything more fun than shopping at a castle. Beautiful stuff!!! You have a lovely collection yourself. Thanks for sharing it with us. Maybe someday you could get a vintage china cabinet to display everything. It's all so pretty and you've got such great taste.
Nicolas looks so charming with his darker hair!
I didn't change it, but thank you! x
Hello sweet boy! Sending you loves and hugs from the states once again.. love everything in this video♥️ you make your grandmother very happy💋💋💋💋
Thank you!
Thank you, as always, for a slice of your interestingly gentile life - love the Wedgwood!
My pleasure!
Hello from Toronto! Love the way you speak and is not your accent but your eloquence and the use of words. Keep it up! 👏🏼
Thank you!
Gorgeous yr table setting: white and green with few touches of gold and silver. Bravo.
Thank you!
But where would you put the mushy peas?🤭
Oh my goodness! I thought I had died and gone to heaven❤️. The tour of the antic shop ❤️. Your table setting. To die for!! And tour of your China closet was so beautiful! And the aging of the Terra Pots. I am going to do it! They look so much better! Your Videos I so enjoy. And relax . The music the whole vibe. It’s just heavenly. Thank you Nicolas. Cannot wait for your next video. And your tea line.
Thank you so much ! So glad you enjoyed it!
I recently found your wonderful channel and I absolutely love it. I love beautiful china, crystal, flatware, etc. I love entertaining at home, small intimate dinner parties, with beautiful table settings using flowers, tablecloths, napkins, and candles. You have a very personable, sophisticated, style about your presence that I personally adore. Take care 🥂
I just want to hug you today Nicolas ❤️😊😍😘
me too me too..😍😍😍😍
Hugs to you!
Dear Nicholas, in my opinion any food tastes better with the correct table setting, it is a way to enjoy the meal, as well improve the whole experience. It’s so lovely the way you place all the items, shows passion and respect for the meal.
You have the loveliest, most elegant corner of YT and I’m so glad they recommended me this video. That Royal Albert set is perfect 😍
I'm overjoyed that you let us see your china closet. I was so captivated by each item. It must have been like a dream to set the table surrounded by all those beautiful antiques in what looks like a romantic castle. Thank you for creating this gem of a video!!! It really made my day! I'm your #1 fan. God bless you always!!!!
While watching your video, Nicolas, I enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and my homemade lemon scone. The sky is clear and bright blue, with a tiny breeze. Altogether a perfect morning - so Thank You! for "joining" me for tea! Warm greetings from Texas, USA
Thank you so much x
Yes Nicolas you are in your element. Surrounded by beautiful beautiful things. Blessings Nicolas. You are beautiful too.
Thank you so much x
Wonderful collection. By the way, I believe the little white salt and pepper shakers are acorns, not chestnuts. Mum has a pair just like them.
Yes! A little error - Thanks for correcting me
So happy you like the little ramekins with saucers! Found them at an exquisite estate sale at a huge old home here in Florida. Old Florida does have some beautiful places with old old history. Not like England but as old as we get! I so enjoyed the tour of your china cabinet and how you handle the terracotta pots. Such a great idea. Just like someone said ... I can’t wait till COVID is over to see where you take us next!
I am so thankful to you for gifting them to me! Hope all is well x x
I loved the China collection, especially the Royal Trust set, those are my favourites. Love your dog 🐕 sitting patiently in the background with her pony tail 😁 so cute! x 😊
Nicolas I can’t tell you how lovely it is to hear someone on You Tube actually speaking English. There are other English You Tubers who can speak fluent French but their native language leaves a lot to be desired. Your videos are a lovely way to start the weekend so thank you for that.
Thank you so much x
I came upon your channel yesterday. It could not have been a more perfect time for me after a very difficult couple of weeks in my life. I lost brother last week & my father to COVID within two months. For some reason I decided to watch your channel & loved the back ground music & the calm sound of your voice. After listening to you and seeing your beautiful collection of tea China. You left me feeling so calm & was able to go to sleep. So thank you for sharing your passion of what you enjoy
I love tea and all the magic that goes with it!
Me too!
This channel is giving me serious ASMR. Also, your show is so well shot! It reminds me of a show that may air on PBS (American public broadcasting channels focused on education.)
I appreciated viewing your collection of China and related items. I did find the subtlety of the acorn salt and pepper shaker set appealing. I discovered some advice on adding hot water to a tea pot prior to filling it with tea. The initial hot water is used to heat up the pot. This water is discarded just before re-filling it with the hot water for the tea. This helps the teapot keep this water for serving hotter for a longer period of time.
Sophie's hair is adorable as always, lovely china, thank you for the elegant video. My condolences on the passing of Prince Philip.
Thank you so much x
so soothing to watch! somehow, i feel very elegant and not lonely every time i watch the videos of NF!
So happy to hear that!
Stumbled upon your channel and....I LOVE IT!!!! I’ve been binge watching all of your videos!!! Excellent content and what a breath of fresh air you are!!! Much ❤️ love from 🌞 Florida!
Thank you so much x
You will have a china closet Nicholas. You will reach all your goals and dreams. I enjoy your channel - and persona thank you for sharing.
This young man's sweet nature and calming tone is a delightful tonic.
How is that you don't have your own home show on BBC, HGTV, etc.? You're a gem!! I could listen to your voice and watch your content all day!!
I love your tea set collection, l was so excited when you reach the pink boxes ( I recognize them because a few months ago, I bought a Royal Albert tea set, 9 pieces hostess set, a mini tea set and some other pieces ) just yesterday I saw some of the items they have to celebrate 100 years of Royal Albert collection, they have the colors you have on the tea cups inside your pink boxes. I will be waiting for them to have a good sale on the Miranda Kerr friendship collection; the tea set is beautiful and the colors are so pretty, greetings from Michigan ( I think your friend the lovely and elegant lady, also your neighbor said she used to live here ) thanks for sharing 🙋🐱 my cat and I send you a big hug.
Love the 100 year Prince Albert set! Lovely job.
His voice is so soothing.
Hi Nicolas! Love your passion for all things beautiful. Your genuineness shines through. I also admire your grace and down to earth manner.
Thank you!
I love watching all your videos as your channel is so interesting, calming and relaxing as well as inspiring. I really enjoyed seeing your collection of crystal and china and like you, purchased a few of my pieces in my early 20's for entertaining. The Waterford stemware pattern you have looks like Maeve, the same one I have, but now discontinued. Thank you Nicholas for sharing a part of your life with us during these crazy times. Stay well and enjoy your week.
I must add that watching your videos bring much joy and inspiration into our lives, you have some beautiful things, when we get out of this lockdown situation I can't wait to watch where you will go with your Vlogs. Keep Inspiring Nicholas, Bless You
Thank you so much x
I really enjoyed the tour of your China cupboard! I especially like all of the backstories on the various pieces! My grandmother collected teacups and saucers from various antique shops as well as mementos from her travels. She enjoyed using them at her bridge parties and when friends and family would visit. I used to love exploring her China cabinet and picking out my favorites! Thanks for sparking such happy memories! 🥰🥰🥰
When I think of your silver tea and coffee pots, I remember my grandmother:
The bishop came to visit when she was a young girl. She was allowed to pour the tea. The handle of the teepot was so hot that it burned her hand - but because of the high level of the clergyman, her pride and self-control, she didn't show anything (in the 1920s, anything else would have been impossible). The burn blisters were only treated after the bishop's departure ...
I love your porcelain and Sophie's hairstyle is tres chic! Thank you for the clever tip on pot aging.
Poor her! x
Complete joy. Thank you for uploading. I could watch you all day. X
My pleasure!
I was reading something about Cecil Beaton and thought of you: he once said, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I’ve certainly managed to put one there! Love your videos!
In taking the time to create a beautiful place setting, Nicolas conveys just how much he values his friendships.
Hello Anne😊👋👋😊
Amen.🌺🌺🌺
Loved all your China and think every table should be adorned with flowers 🫖 💐.
It’s always a pleasure to see you 🤍 thank you for sharing 💐
The pleasure is mine x
Beautiful china.
Thank you for taking us along your visit. Thank you as well for sharing your china with us, such lovely treasures. 💞
Nicholas you are truly a breath of fresh air. Enjoy your videos
You have beautiful China and silver Nicolas!! Loved the aged looking terra cotta pots. I will definitely do this to mine. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
Enjoyed seeing your fine china/glassware collection. Loved the "aged" terracotta pots. Definitely want to create some of my own. Thank you for the great video! Enjoy your weekend. :)
I don't know how I got here but so glad I did! What a charming young man and an inspiration to all younger generation. I just recently decided to collect china and fine pieces. How quickly I have learned history through researching patterns, Countries of origin. Subscribed!!
My sister bought a cute little creamer from the Buckingham Palace gift shop and had it sent to me here in Florida. It’s called “Birdsong”. We went to London two years ago and I got to see the whole collection. Be still my heart! YOUR sister loves you too!! What a stunning collection of teacups! I am going to “age” my terra cotta orchid pots. Those are so soft looking. I have brushed plain yogurt on outdoor terra cotta pots and have moss in them in no time!
Ho my god Nicolas ! I was close to have a heart attack when you were showing your tea cups ! It was close to the side ! I was affraid to see it fall !! We did not get used to have so much adrenalin from your videos ! 😋 Hi from France !
I had no idea! x
Bonhams is a favourite of mine! I always find interesting and exciting items there, and always at a good price! Wonderful video!
Same here.
Nicholas, I'm an avid fan of your channel. Your voice is so smooth, and your delivery is quite eloquent and refined. I enjoy your tea service and recipe ideas. Great channel!
Never in my 61 years have I heard a Brit say “these ones “. But I think you are adorable and I’ll continue to watch you anyway
What a generous, beautiful and soothing episode: thank you ❤️
Thank you!
Love puppy’s hair today 💚
Thank you! x
I would like to say Thank you! Thank you for your time and videos, for allowing us (me) to pause and breath deeply while remembering that it's important to live a Beautiful Life. I just found your videos and can't stop watching them! You Sir, bring me Joy! ❤️
Loved it all. What a wonderful journey you took us on then I loved learning something new for the Garden. The Terra Cotta pots were a wonderful transformation. Beautiful Vlog- thank you.
Thanks Nicolas. This was again a lovely and refreshing vlog. All the best.
Really nice! What an honor to be invited to set a table in that beautiful place. Thank you ❤️
My pleasure!
Your voice and calm demonstration of the process are very soothing and informative. You are right; you don't need to be an artist to create artwork that you and your loved ones could enjoy! Thank you again for your calming voice as well as beautiful china sets and flower pots!
Oh thank you Nicolas for sharing you wonderful collection with us. I too have played with giving pots an aged look. I am an artist and pay more attention to colours than most. So, thank you for your generous lesson on your process love.❤️👍🏼🥰
Beautiful collection! Thank you for sharing.
Now this is a real treat!
Thank you!
Nicolas, thank you for the moments of peace you bring to me with your videos. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead as well. Take care!
Thank you, Nicolas, for sharing your wonderful ideas, making such beautiful items accessible to everyone! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Your channel is so entertaining.
Love anything to do with antiques ,because that’s my main interest.
Everything about you suggests class, and etiquette. ,along with good manners.
It’s Something you cover in your vids...keep it up Nicolas.
I think your great btw.
Wow u have a electric car..so glad to hear that .
Thank you so much x
Well first of all that metal set that you first showed is amazing oh my goodness. That set is right up my alley. I even have the silverware from my grandfather that matches it.
As far as the eternal bow China. To jazz it up you could pair it with the metal first set that you revealed. Of course it would have to be quite a number of people because you would have numerous tea and coffee pods. But as you said you have a lot of tea cups to go along with it!!!
I really enjoyed your table setting at the Donrobin Attic Sale. I was just simply gorgeous!
Beautiful Wedgwood set. The thick glaze gives the dishes that beautiful sheen that catches the light.
Absolutely wonderful thank you so much for sharing and love the paint project at the end well done 🙏😊
Really great episode Nicholas Thank You
I love your channel, feels soothing to my soul. Thank you.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your splendid collection! It is gorgeous! Thanks for the tutorial on aging pots also.
Love your tea ware. The ramekin saucers actually coordinates well with your pink and green teacups too. I love tea wares and always pick up pretty pieces in charity shops and antique fairs in Scotland. I use decanters as vases and for water propagation in my home. Thanks for sharing this, Nicholas bc this was a real treat!
Lovely video as usual! You are a rare human been in this century, a gift really. Love from Brazil ❤🌹❤
Thank you so much x x
The white salt and pepper in the little basket, I believe are acorns. You called them chestnuts. They are very sweet.
Your videos are so special. I really love each and every one of them. Thanks so much for sharing your elegant style.
I so enjoy Nicholas's videos. He so generously invites us into his home, sharing and encourages us. Especially I enjoyed his skin care suggestions. He suggests how important self care is and I have learned so much from him.
Thank you!
