On my end...I love that you started collecting as a Child💕.. 🌼 and to Donna how Awesome too have a Dad who was a Potter/Mold Maker... I can honestly say I never knew anyone that was or is a Potter..I just love You and Donna🥰 I don’t want to sound greedy but here it goes.... I would love to see Your photos of flowers 💐🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ My goodness I hope that didn’t sound greedy
Thank you so much, Kiki! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’ve always wanted to try doing a bit of pottery because of my grandfather. Perhaps I’ll give it a go one day!! I don’t know if you’re on Instagram, but I share a lot of my photography on there 😊💕🌸📚🫖
Beautiful collection! Very sensible to only collect what one loves and use I think! Have been collecting frogs (ornamental ones) since childhood, not much use but they do bring joy. I was inspired by an old lady we used to visit as children, she collected elephants and always let us admire them as much as we wanted. (I understand you might not read this as it is 2 years old but the video was so lovely)
Absolutely fantastic and fun video! I am deeply in love with all your collection, is so beautiful! What exquisite pieces.. Thank you for showing it to us Miranda, and always a pleasure to see you accompanied by the lovely Donna. xxx
Just watched this again for a little comfort time So lovely being surrounded by lovely things in your home with a lovely Mum to enjoy it with you Mum and I loved our ‘good cups’ snd Sunday was the day they were enjoyed with a pot of tea and scones without fail Lovely lovely lovely
Only came across you yesterday, you must take a trip to Southport there's a lovely little Victorian book shop called broadhursts they sell antique and new books and will still wrap them in brown paper and string if you ask them.I only found it when my youngest son was in his teens,he loved going. I even left them in the brown paper when they were a birthday or Christmas gift he loved opening them. I now take my triplet grandsons sadly not as often as with Jon and not since before the pandemic and have yet to take my granddaughter Athena, looking forward to going with them again. The bookshop is near the market hall and there's an antique centre not to far away on Lord st.. and plenty of charity shops.
I live quite close to Denby Pottery so it was often a place that my junior school used to take us to on school trips. I remember painting plates and glazing them there. I love a cute floral tea set but I’ve got 2 autistic children, one of whom probably has ADHD as well and no China is safe in any small radius of them. Seeing all your lovely china, I have to resist my normal urge to shout “Don’t touch anything- get away from the breakables!” Maybe one day I’ll have a home safe for some but I’m quite clumsy myself as well so we’ll just have to see. Thanks for showing us all that lovely lot xx
You have a lovely collection. I love Burleigh pottery and the colours of the Moorcroft vase were so pretty. I absolutely agree that beautiful things should be used every day! Thank you for taking the time to film this. ❤️
What a delightful tour of all your special china, thank you so much Miranda and Donna. Lots of treasures and lovely to hear the stories behind them too. X
I am watching it right now as we write and I love it, thank you for going through that trouble, it must have been a lot of work to put it all away again...! Blessings to you and your mum xx
Love china, especially tea related. Thank you for showing us some of your collection, what a task to get it all out and then put it away again! Books and china go hand in hand in my opinion. Fabulous video. I hope we will get to see future purchases. I so enjoy these Mother Daughter videos. xx
Your video was playing on my computer, must have put China Collection yesterday and your video was playing today🤣. Just getting into buying fine China. Started with Spode and Burleigh. Got a few vintage Spode piece coming in the post along with a Wedgwood. Love the blue and white pieces. Love your story, your collection. Must be lovely to have your mum around and share the same interest❤
I love dishes so much. But being limited in space as well keeps me from going overboard too much. What I most admire is that you both use your pieces and enjoy them. That is something I need to work on. I so enjoyed seeing your collections and hearing your reminiscences.
Really enjoyed this. I used to have a lot of English china and Brambly Hedge cups and saucers. But when I moved to Arizona I had to choose between books or china. I chose books. 😊 But it was a treat to see all your collections. 💕📚☕💐
My small everyday china is Villeroy & Bloch. I don’t know much about brands but I love the vintage/classic look of this type of china you showed. I learned something new. My taste for this vintage style comes from my grandmother. But unfortunately, I’m the only one in the family with this classic/vintage taste. My friends and family are always trying to convince me to change my style. I can’t, I don’t like modern furniture or decoration commonly use here in the island. So, I’m alone in this area except for these type of videos. I guess they are not readers either, thank you to share your china collection with us. It was lovely! Gorgeous collection! ☕️ 🫖👌
So admire David Herbert's ceramics Miranda. He still writes a column for The Australian every weekend. In fact, I cooked one of his recipes last night. It's lovely to watch you and Donna sharing this passion for China.
Hi Miranda and Donna, what a delightful glimpse into your collection of china and especially hearing how you both became keen collectors. The best thing though was that you both like to use your beautiful pieces - that really is lovely. Happy collecting, Teresa 🍽 🫖 🌻
What a lovely collection of china! I am enamored with beautiful and vintage china and pottery. I really enjoy seeing other people's favorites. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
I so enjoyed seeing your collection, Miranda and Donna, lovely that you included the close-up inserts so we could see the details. And it was great to hear your personal and family stories around the crockery. I have a lot of china, too, and have had to weed out the collection occasionally - always a bit heartbreaking! I started when I was about 12 or 13 buying 20s and 30s hand-painted plates and tea sets. Like you, I like ceramics that have a connection with artists - I've got mugs by Emily Sutton and Ed Kluz, a pencil pot and egg cups by Alice Pattullo and plates by Christopher Brown. I have quite a few pieces by Susie Cooper but also like black and white plates from the 50s and 60s. And I have a soft spot for the 80s folksy stoneware Hearts and Flowers by Johnson Brothers. And much more! It is as addictive as collecting books, and as you say, charity shops are such a great source for both. More exciting stumbling across them than buying them online, I find. Sorry this is such a long post, you can see this really chimed with me. Thanks for such a lovely vlog! 🫖🍽🤍
Bless you both......that was absolutely lovely......thank you. I’m a Dorset girl, so Poole Pottery holds fond memories for me......as does Branksome Pottery! Happy days......
I so enjoyed this as I collect China also. Mostly teapots, teacups and saucers, dinner plates and bowl, and sugar and creamers, little animals, small round plates I put my daily jewelry. I have some of the exact same pieces as you and Donna! Also my favorite color combination for China is blue and white!! I have other colors but mostly blue and white. I LOVE to buy teacups in antique or reveals shops. When using them I wonder about the person or persons who owned them and the teacup's story. I used to have a HUGE collection! Everything and anything you could want for a large teaparty. Unfortunately, I had to move into a small 1 bdrm. apt. It broke my hear to give so many cherished things away. I had to give away 20 teapots, only kept 8. Happy New Year 2024! 🤗
I so enjoyed your video. You and your mom are just so sweet to watch. Question if you dont mind, for the both of you, what is your favorite tea to drink in these beautiful cups? Also what is your favorite treat to have with your pretty tea cups?
My mum pretty much just drinks regular English breakfast style tea. I drink more varied teas & like oolong & camomile a lot too. Earl grey for visitors because many British people love Earl Grey (though I hate it with milk!). Pretty much any cake goes with tea in my book. See our books & bakes videos for inspiration! Xxx
What a beautiful collection you have! I adore collecting china too, it's such fun having something to keep an eye out for at tag sales and junk shops. I recently found a perfect Wedgwood Wild Strawberry teacup and saucer for a dollar!
I’ve loved finding your channel! Checking out some of the older videos ☺️ I also love the Luxembourg and Asiatic Pheasant sets, I’m just getting into the ‘pretty serving ware’ part of my kitchen collection ☺️
Thank you for the video! It’s lovely to see your china collection-I love that you support both old and modern styles. I too am alway looking for the Wedgwood Wild Strawberry cup and saucer. Why can’t they “reprint” their in-demand collections, right? You and your mom are so delightful, as always, and I’m so happy to see that you are fully recovered!
I just saw “Wild Strawberries” by Wedgwood at Macy’s in the US, but it was a raised print cream on cream color. So it didn’t have the recognized delicate little illustration. I guess to accommodate modern clean lines? It made me a little grumpy haha! How dare they! That’s okay. Maybe that’ll be a new family’s beloved favorite. I just love the classic floral styles.
Awww Miranda. I love your china. I have to stop collecting China, our house & husband can’t cope with any more! 🤣🙀 A fabulous video. Thank you for sharing. 😍
Love looking at your collection and so pleased to hear you use it every day - was so upsetting to find my Nans best China and linen all nicely packed away, and had never seen the light of day, after she passed away - what a waste. Every day is special I say, use it all and enjoy it! I collect pieces I like rather than makes - I adored the Bramley Hedge books as a child, I have some of the little mice ornaments - they are very sweet. I have always loved blue and white -especially Willow Pattern - my liking for it started aged 4 at primary school as we had a huge Willow pattern collage on the wall of the school hall. Had not seen the black floral ‘soho’ before, that’s really lovely. And the video makes me want to rush out to buy beautiful china X
Thank you for sharing your spectacular collection. My home is Japanese blue and white. I like to mix my Japanese blue and white tea cups with my English blue and white. Hoping you will take a trip to the Burleigh outlet in the future. Always so wonderful. xo
Thank you both for a wonderful video! You have a beautiful china collection and I so enjoyed seeing it. I loved hearing how you became a collector at such a young age! Blue and white crockery is among my favourites, I have some willow pattern dishes to eat from which bring back memories of my childhood as both sets of my grandparents had them. I love Burleigh too, I have a huge blue calico fruit bowl which I was so excited to get! As well as a couple of full dinner sets I like to have a just few plates from different patterns so I can enjoy a change, it would be hard to restrict myself to a single pattern! I have a lot of Emma Bridgewater too. I enjoyed your varied collection, you introduced me to some new makes that I will have to look out for!
I loved this! My parents got china for their wedding nearly 30 years ago and now that I’ve discovered the joy of tea from a pot in a cup I’m the first one to use it! Agree that it should be used - I’ve no dinner stuff yet but an excuse to pick up my own choice once my house is built! Thanks for your wonderful videos, ye are such lovely people.
Thank you, you have just inspired me to start collecting and I've just ordered my first Burleigh blue asiatic pheasants plate from the Burleigh website. Free delivery and a great price for a seconds plate. Thank you!
Brambly Hedge is so charming.. I loved it as a child. I tend to see a lot of the china still and I'm always so tempted to pick up a teapot or some teacups!

I absolutely enjoyed this. You ladies must do another one as I’m sure your collection has grown since this clip. I collect from thrift stores the sets of 3 teacups, saucers and cake/sandwich plates. Also little milk jugs and small serving plates. Mostly mine are vintage but I don’t mind if they’re not as long as I like them. 😉
Wonderful wonderful video do we have a lot of pain and it distracted me from my pain thank you so much you're so pretty have a great weekend and enjoy yourself
Thank you Miranda and Donna, I really enjoyed seeing all your china collection. I am also a fan of Burleigh's Regal Peacock and Spode Italian and like to collect little Tea for Two sets. I noticed on the Wedgwood website that they are re-issuing some Wild Strawberry pieces too.
My favourite two ladies! Your channel is absolutely balm for the soul.
That’s so kind! Thank you 💕
LOVE,LOVE you both

I agree - it’s such a shame they discontinued Wild Strawberry; I really can’t understand why!! Thank you so much ☺️
Oh, what beautiful pieces. Thank you for sharing. 💕
Beautiful Vlog.. Lovely China..💕
Thank you!
I just saw “Wild Strawberries” by Wedgwood at Macy’s in the US, but it was a raised print cream on cream color. So it didn’t have the recognized delicate little illustration. I’ve seen that style too! I prefer the classic pattern as well 🍓 ❤️
Awww Miranda. I love your china. I have to stop collecting China, our house & husband can’t cope with any more! 🤣🙀 A fabulous video. Thank you for sharing. 😍
Haha thank you, Teena! One of the many things I love about living with my mum is she never says surely you have enough books / china 😂

That was just a treat to watch. Thank you xx
Oh wonderful! Thank you! Xxx
Thank you for sharing your spectacular collection. My home is Japanese blue and white. I like to mix my Japanese blue and white tea cups with my English blue and white. Hoping you will take a trip to the Burleigh outlet in the future. Always so wonderful. xo
Your collection sounds beautiful! Yes, I’d love to get to the Burleigh factory at some point xxx
You tube
Thanks so much Naomi! It sounds like we have very similar tastes 😊💙
I love China so much. I have several pieces from my grandmother. Love seeing other’s collections.
Very lovely video ❤. You both look so nice 👌.
Thank you so much! xx
Thank you, you have just inspired me to start collecting and I've just ordered my first Burleigh blue asiatic pheasants plate from the Burleigh website. Free delivery and a great price for a seconds plate. Thank you!
Oh how exciting! I’m so happy. Thanks for letting me know, and I hope you love your plate! All of mine are seconds & I find them fab!!
I love the spode. I have lots of the Blue Room pattern. I loved seeing your china pieces!
Brambly Hedge is so charming.. I loved it as a child. I tend to see a lot of the china still and I'm always so tempted to pick up a teapot or some teacups!
I’m watching this for the first time & I have to say once again that we are kindered souls. I love china & have some Burleigh, Royal Doulton, Blue Italian & Beatrice Potter pieces. My one regret was not buying the tea set while visiting London in 1986. I have a few pieces of Laura Ashley & I have just given my entire set of Portmeiron to my sister in law as I have too many sets of China. I’ve never married & my nieces don’t share my love of these pieces so I have no idea where my treasures will end up. Young people seem to only like very plain, dark drab dishes. Oh what to do?
I absolutely enjoyed this. You ladies must do another one as I’m sure your collection has grown since this clip. I collect from thrift stores the sets of 3 teacups, saucers and cake/sandwich plates. Wonderful wonderful video do we have a lot of pain and it distracted me from my pain thank you so much you're so pretty have a great weekend and enjoy yourself
I love so much in your collection. Thank you for sharing. Although I'm in a dilemma now. How to plump up two budgets, one for books and one for china?
I know that dilemma well, Pamela 😂📚🫖
Thank you Miranda and Donna, I really enjoyed seeing all your china collection. I am also a fan of Burleigh's Regal Peacock and Spode Italian and like to collect little Tea for Two sets. I noticed on the Wedgwood website that they are re-issuing some Wild Strawberry pieces too.
Lovely video!
Delightful women and collection! I loved this video :D xx
I have porcelain China sets
Where do you store all of this beauty?
enjoy your china. i liked playing with figurines as a child. liked their lack of softness. cool aloneness and fragility. like the human condition.
I would recommend the French ceramic artist Marie Yae, check her out on insta
