NO ONE had chemistry like Big Duke Wayne and Maureen O'Hara.
They were besties in real life and it shows in their films.

I know they both said in interviews that their off screen relationship was not romantic; it was more like they were close buddies. I just find it hard to believe that was true, given their incredible screen chemistry. How lucky Wayne was to have had so many kissing scenes with her. Speaking as a man, I've always thought that O'Hara was one of the most beautiful women of all time, one who stayed beautiful up to and beyond middle age. Must've been superior genes. Even in her 50s, she could've given 20 year old women serious competition.
She did not have a romantic relationship with him! 😊 They explained it in interviews many times. His taste was more for Spanish beauties, ( Pilar was really beautiful). Maureen said at first they didn't understand why people felt so strongly they did, until the saw the picture themselves, & then they understood. Too bad really, bc neither had a lasting marriage. Her first marriage failed. Her 2nd was very happy. Unfortunately her pilot husband died in a crash I believe. But she was very beautiful & my favorite with him

He was a good character actor and numerous roles prove it as well as his reputation among many of the great artists worldwide, including the best American directors.

Would LOVE to be kissed like that from my hubby, but we’re no longer married😢 Yes, satan entered the whole family. We never had God and we’re all Catholic but didn’t practice. I am now a devout Catholic. I miss my marriage, my relationship with my 4 beautiful children, this was my vocation, that was & still is my vocation, being married and a good Mom of 4 beautiful children. But now none want to have nothing to do with me. It’s extremely sad for me. I’ve been praying a lot of years and have finally decided to give it to God. I can’t handle the pain of it anymore, it’s been going on too long along with exhaustion of blaming myself when it wasn’t just me, it was our marriage issues and not going to blame myself ANYMORE. It’s a huge relief giving it to God and letting God deal with it all. It’s in His hands and I Trust in whatever he decides. He’s ALL GOOD, SO GOOD, because of the unending Love he has for ME!!!!!! His timing is Always Perfect & at times I chuckle because when things are graced upon me I see the timing of His answer, It’s Awesome, Magnificent, just Beautiful. I have absolutely no one. I sit home looking for work, no luck, my car has no window, a FORD, it fell down through the track, no finances to fix it. I won’t ask my children for help because they could care a less if I was alive or DEAD. I have always hated Fords but that’s another story how I ended up with it. Going through days literally not talking to a soul or seeing a soul for, oh weeks on end. I go to Mass, grocery store and that’s my outing for the day to get fresh air because where i live is very unsafe, so never go out to walk. Joined a class at church for women but the one woman who knows my situation avoids me like the plague and she’s very involved in the church. I try to chit chat but to no avail I can tell she doesn’t give a flip. This is people now-a-days, she had my phone number and email yet no contact at all. I’ve tried but not going any further with it from her. This is not right from Catholics, so called righteous ones like everyone thinks she is. She gossips, she was incharge of the pro-life organization we have here where I live and while I standing in front of an abortion mill saying the Rosary she stood and told me of s family member who went to Rachels Vineyard. This information is highly confidential for women who’ve gone there and yet she BLABS this information about a relative that I had no idea and was HEARTBROKEN, mortified, just broken inside to hear what she had just told me. She should not have done this by any means. She was one of people in charge of Rachels Vineyard and yet she BLABS this to me. Shame on her & I pray she went to confession for this. Just praying I stay steadfast in saying the rosary and continue doing what I’m doing alone. God says we never should be alone, you can’t further your religion or whatever you want to call it ALONE!!!!! and I have been for too long, for 5 years now. I’m actually surprised I’m still here because of the lonliness, the coldness from family when they know exactly what my situation is, FINANCIALLY and being alone, yet she never wants to visit me because of the area I unfortunately live in, says the drive is too far, yet when asked to go to their home I go all the time when I’m financially able to (gas in my car). I don’t get it!!!!!!✝️🙏📿🕊️

..She seemed to take a lot of roughing up in every movie they ever made together. She was a tough lady.(Meant in a nice way).
