I'll never play this game but I really appreciate your efforts in doing a review. None of the other review channels are going to cover fun, little games like this. I'm sure the devs are pleased to get a bit of publicity and, hopefully, it will give the game a bit of a boost. Nice one.

The cartoonish theme here works perfectly, it isn't an ugly game.
Need For Speed Refund and Scam Citizen are ugly games, this is a very neat looking one.

Please add more keyboard shortcuts and perhaps replace words "food, wood, gold" with the icons in the description of units to increase readability.
Sounds are incredible in your game, btw! I feel that they're really fighting.

Btw battle sounds are good because I actually took a sound guy to record medieval knight re-enactors fighting for real, from the Estonian Medieval Fencing Association. Crazy guys, they went full power against each other for us, one guy even broke his sword in half :D

This game gives me Mega Lo Mania feels Mack. Great game that was, was totally addicted to it in the 90's on my Amiga 1200. Man I loved that game, would love a remake.

A really good new release to check out is We Happy Few! It’s been in early access for ages but it released last week and it’s great.

Well done Mack credit where it's due,give some of these small developers a chance. At the end of the day its the gameplay that counts and we need to encourage newcomers to develop good gameplay because the triple-A companies ain't doing a very good job of that.

If you live where I live it's a few pence more than a pint. Four quid is a good number for an indie game you can get a good few hours out of easily.

yes. It was a test version with more cartoonish graphics but the same basic gameplay. After the success of that, the developers decided to revamp it and release it to steam

So very similar gameplay to Northgard, where you take "tiles" to get other resources etc. My kind of game.
I don't like "them" either.
Keep doing reviews on these sort of games too, little indie cheap games tend to be so much better than these big AAA games, simple because they made by gamers for gamers, where as AAA games like cod etc are made by corporate greedy tw@ts.
mack you say you love tower defense but I don't see any sanctum or sanctum 2 videos. its a dated game now but id definitely like to hear what you think about them.
Ubong Enyiema Him and Mesh played Sanctum on the Mack and Mesh channel years ago.

Please do a retro review of Alien vs Predator 2000 classic. The game is frickin fantastic and it holds up super well today. The game has 3 seperate campaigns where you can play as an alien, predator, and marine. The game oozes atmosphere and it has some of the best level design i have ever seen. It holds up well. And for 5 bucks i think it definitely deserves a worthabuy.

This looks like my game idea Tubians... Instead of circles its squares and your minions go through tubes that can have diff pathways. WHY IS EVERYTHING I THINK OF TAKEN?!
@Java Monsoon welp my idea has none of that. It takes place underground. But I've scratched that idea and found what I could do instead. My fav genre is Tower Defense. So i plan on drawing out a tower defense game with a neat gimmik. It might be procedually generated idk. But leveling up lets you gain more capacity. capacity is used to place towers and upgrade them. you cannot upgrade a tower if it has < full HP and you cannot remove it if it has < full HP If a tower has 0 HP you need to repair it fully before it can function again. In this towers are more like structures. Some are turrets, some are walls, some are buffers, ect. I guess I'll be going back to my notebooks and let my imagination roam free. Then when I can understand how to make games I can pull out my Notebooks and code everything together. ^^ Edit: scratch this idea. I give up. Getting a pc soon. I might as well play games since making is a whole 'nother world to get into.

cheap is relative - i bought vagrant for 2$ and dead effect 2 for 2,50$. first one i played like 6 hours, the other like 12. so this one being cheap for more, giving 4 hours? not necessarily, also games for 5$ - tomb raider, risen 3, payday2, killing floor 2 - you just need to know what you are buying and grab it on steam's ale. not to mention that on steam you can make money from game items, for instance killing floor 2 already profits, i have more from the items then the game cost me. Some people run on really low budget, like me.
