You're very welcome! I'm so glad to hear that! :-)
Hi!! You've been on point with your videos recently! You should do like a project update if you're planning to breed some of your boas. How you got started, why you started doing videos, why you love reptiles etc. It'd be awesome to get to know you more.
II Dorko II Hi! And thank you so much! That idea sounds awesome, I would love to do that! :-)
Thank you for your videos! They are so helpful and my mom is thinking of letting me get a corn snake!!

You are my favorite animal youtuber :)
Thank you so much! :-)
Thank you for this video. My snakes have been soaking alot. And I didn't think any thing of it at first but I have been getting skeptical.
Thank you for the great information!
My three boas had them as well. Like you showed in the video we used Frontline Spray to treat our snakes and the terrarium (as we were told by our vet). Unfortunately this is where you need to be very cautious if you have a terrarium made of wood. After treating both snakes and the terrarium (and cleaning it very thoroughly) we waited close to a week to put our snakes back into their enclosure. This way we wanted to make sure that none of the chemicals were still inside the terrarium.
The same day our adult female boa started to act very strangely. At first it looked like she was regurgitating her meal that she had had a few days prior to this, but her behaviour got worse and worse. We immediatley contacted our vet and it turns out that her seizures were a consequence of the Frontline left in the wood (even though we washed it out multiple times).
Thankfully she is healthy again but she almost didn't make it :(
So please be careful with Frontline when treating blood mites if you have a terrarium made of wood!
Just found mites on my boa. Got him six months ago. Thanks so much for your videos! Because I had watched this one before, I knew how to Spot them and will hopefully be rid of the mites soon.
I have three snakes at this point that will all be getting treatment and quarantine, so it's going to be kind of a nightmare.🙄
Very informative video👍🏻☺️
I have two freezers, so I think that I will freeze everything before I put into the terrarium. Hopefully that would work.
TheKeyworkauditorium That's a really good idea! :-)
Put the snake in the freezer, too.
a couple weeks ago you only had about 100 subscribers! now you almost have 900! great job! BTW i was subscriber 132!!!
Saanvy Patel It's so amazing! I love making videos for this channel! Yay you were one if the first then!! :-)
Love your videos:) I'm getting a ball python cinnomon pied and I'm so excited !!
Looking to get my first baby ball python this week your videos are so helpful ! You have my subscribe 😃
Just noticed today that my snake has blood mites and I have no idea where they came from, but I think the only possibility is the live mice I feed her once a week from the pet store could have been carrying them, I’m not sure but that’s the only outside source that could have brought the bloodmites into her enclosure. I feel so bad for her but I think I caught it early because there aren’t very many in the tank or on her, and I am going to treat her and clean everything tomorrow
Thanks for the info. I had a pet mouse a while ago who had a similar parasite and dealing with that was a nightmare i wasn't prepared for. Can't wait to get my first snake.
My poor snake came home with a case of mites. I bleached out the cage and everything in there and changed out the substrate. She stayed a day in a hotel tote, and got a warm bath. It's been a few days. I haven't seen any yet, and she shed, so I'm really hoping they're gone. From what I've read online they're likely not gone yet, so I ordered a gallon of Reptile Spray on Amazon. I hope that'll handle the problem if they're still there. Luckily, I caught the problem early. She doesn't totally trust me yet, so I'm really hoping it goes smoothly.
wow, what a good you tuber that i've never see before, i've watching your video for the first and i realy like it...
azfar yazid So glad to hear that! :-)
You have been helpful thank you so much
Team Infamous2 So glad to hear that! :-)
Me and my snake Fiona love you’re channel!💖💖
You should do a pros and cons video about snakes!😊
That's a great idea! I'll put it on the to do list! Thanks for suggesting! :-)
I love your channel .
P.S. - "Bloodmites are the spawn of hell !" Hahahahah made me crack up
No pest strip is old school, but it works and it's easy. One big piece in the room, a little piece in each enclosure for an hour a day for a few days, and no mites.
Thank you very much for making all these videos! They're really helpful! If I get a snake, it'll probably be at least a couple years till I get one, but I prefere being prepeared.
I'm wondering: if I drive somewhere to buy a snake, and find out they have bloodmites (so I don't buy one), is my car a forever portable hellhole for reptiles, or is it possible to get it clean? And is a thorough shower enough before I visit the next place, or should I wait a while?
You should do a California king snake care video .thank you
Only just came across your channel, what a great video for those who do not know about these pestty little things. l fortunately have never had them with my snakes, but Frontline is the best thing that you can use. Generally from what l have been told by someone who has used frontline only one treatment has been necessary to eradicate them. Thanks for a informative video.
Nice video I'm getting a ball python soon too
Thank you! How exciting! :-)
RiseOFgalaxy gg
me too
You are so amazing!!!!!!!!!! I love your animals and you! Also can you do a video showing us ALL of your animals? That would be so awesome. Thanks.
Derp._. Derp Thank you so much! Yes I would love to that! :-)
Jossers Jungle Yay!!
I'm excited! You seem to have a lot of animals so
The one dislike are the mites
Those damn mites.. I knew they were up to something! :-)
You helped me so much with my ball python I just want to tank you so much for the help you are awesome and I love all of your snakes and my snake is named Luna I love her so much and you made me get her when I saw your ball python I new it was the snake for me so thank you
I've seen a few of your videos and they're great. I don't think my problem is mites though. I have seen some very tiny flying bugs in the tank. Haven't seen any bugs on the snake. He's a ball python and i feed him live mice. He's pretty big but won't eat large rats. or hasn't lately. had to trade them for mice. what could the tiny flying bugs be? they were so bad back before Christmas that i emptied the tank and started over. Ive cleaned it out a couple of times since and haven't seen any more flying bugs until today. is this something to worry about? should i completely empty the tank more often? Thanks and i really appreciate your very informative videos.
lol, gone out the tube for a week and you went from 400 to almost 900 subs, 😲 congratulations 😅💯
by the way, i like the new intro 👍👍👍👍
Haha, yes it moves very fast! Soon to hit a 1000, hopefully this weekend! Thank you so much! :-)
I am very intersted in getting a ball python. Would you say the tank in the bottom left corner would be big enought for a new one? What dimension should a terrarium be for a baby and for an adult?
any advice for how to get over a fear of snakes? is there a way to very gently and easily introduce someone who is terrified...pet store? zoo?
could you make a Video about your 10 favorite ball phyton morphs?
jophy baum Hi! It's a great idea but I'm not even sure I have 10 favorites. I'll see what I can do :-)
For washing the terrarium and all the clutter inside of it could you use a bleach soak before putting it back in the terrarium
I was speaking to my parents because I want a snake for my birthday and I've been watching your vids for like tips because I really want a ball python so I got one question if I have a ball python as my first snake does it like noise would I have to keep it away from my tv or would it be okay near there. Keep up the good work I love your vids
How do you treat your beading for mites
I might get a ball python too.. I just talked my mom about letting me have one. I'm so excited. I might get a regular or a pastel. Btw I'm saving up for one
How long does it take to know if your BCI has blood mites once in a quarantine? Will I know in a day from looking at the paper towel I laid?
I'm using the NIX solution.
Once I get rid of blood mites or if the snake doesn't have them. Will I have to continue to check. As I don't live in an area were blood mites are popular. Can they come back?
I was wondering if you have a lizard or a monitor and you get bloodmites do you treat it the same way you would if it was a snake or do you have to have a different approach with lizards and monitors?
So I'm getting a ball python. First time owner and I love them. I'm getting a black morph baby and I'm worried. I am struggling with size of the tank. Should I get a two foot or a three foot tank for it as an adult. Also I have long fur cats and their fur gets on my clothes. Will this affect me from handling my snake having cat fur on my clothes
Love you !!
your videos are amazing and you are such a nice and beautiful Person, caring so much for your animals, i just love your channel.
Please do a green tree boa Video sometime. i would Love it, because i think of getting one

Josser you should do vlog's
Hello I looking into buying a snake and I was wondering if an American snake breeder would be able to ship the snake to Europe or is it too long
I did everything in ur video but it looks like my snake dosnt hav mites but yet randomly I found sumthing that looked like a mite crawling on my hand but when I squished it no blood came out
Woah, I just noticed your videos only have a bit over 1 K likes! Can we please get her the likes she deserves? Domo arigatou
helpfull vid
maybe a video about how to make your own custom terrarium background(these that you can simply make out of styrofoam etc.)?
It's a great idea! I've only ever made one, but I have another terrarium that needs a background! I'll add it to the list! Thank you for requesting! :-)
I have a corn snake and a leopard gecko if I ever happened to get the mites would they harm my leopard gecko ?
is it possible to get BLOOD MITES if i only have one
my snake originally has the same black little speckles . how would I differ her little black dots from a blood mite?
If you can whipe them off and they give off a smudge then they are mites. Bloodmites are easy to whipe :-)
Thanks, I learn a lot from you and you’re very pretty
I have lizards in my backyard and 70 percent of them have bloodmites and I want to help treat them how can I do it?
i love you videos!
Next year I was going to get a ball python now I am kinda rethinking it after watching this but I am only going to get one snake so I will possibly have a very low chance of getting some but I hope not also just double checking but are ball pythons venomous (double checking)
Can you do a Corn snake care video??Plzzz
Pets,Reptiles And Beyond Yes, I would love too :-)
NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!! HAPPY 1K! I am going to make a speech to ask to mom to buy me a snake! Any ones that would be great for first snake that wouldn't necessarily come up and try to strangle you at night? That's what my mom is afraid of what's going to happen.
I have a question, if you catch a california king snake and keep it as a pet, could it have bloodmites?
I honestly don't know :-)
When you talk about using frontline, do you clean the whole snake including their heads or does that irritate?
I don't clean the whole head, but I do make sure to clean them underneath the head, underneath their scales, because that is a place the bloodmites truly likes to hide. But frontline is very strong, so I'm keeping it away from the eyes and the rest of the head. :-)
Got it! Thanks! :)
I pour hot boiling water in my terrarium n left it for 5 min n wash it normal after pouring out the hot water
I love how you say blood mite so seriously.
I've had my Ball Python for about a month now and I've been paranoid about Blood Mites. I haven't seen her soak into her water bowl nor does she rub her face on the tank or act defensive when I handle her, but I noticed black spots on her that I think are part of her pattern. I also just found a bunch of black dots in her water bowl. Like I said, I haven't seen her soak, so could they just be particals of the substrate?
Juss 213 ik it’s been a year since you posted this but I always give my snake mite treatments (even though I’m sure they don’t have any) but I soak them once a week and rub them in extra virgin olive oil just to be safe, the oil kills mites pretty quickly
Are there other names for blood mites? Like flea, or are they different things?
Not that I know off, I've only heard them under the name bloodmites. :-)
If I play violin near my ball python will it stress him? It doesn't sound bad I'm just worried he might get stressed if I play near him..
So do you visually remove them or is there a medication they need? I'm confused...
Flug Zeug You can removed them with a mite spray that you spray on the snake, that hopefully kills the mites.
If you were to only get one snake would the chance of getting bloodmites be lower? I know there's always some chance but with one reptile is there a way for bloodmites to appear other than being on someone's clothes (like do they naturally live in some areas so some can get inside and on the snake etc.).
Having one snake definitely lowers the chances. The most common way of getting bloodmites is when you bring another reptile into the room that already has the bloodmites.
Back when I had only one snake I've never experienced bloodmites, it was only until a woman sold me two lizard that were infected with them. :-)
i have a request how do you shed the eyes XD
An alternative to front line would b olive oil, mites can't adhere to snake and its harmless to ur snake 👌
Cooking oil sucks in my experience, super messy, the top of the tanks, tubs, everything is covered in oil. Oil doesn’t last long either, in order to keep the mites off to starve/kill them you’d have to coat them in oil multiple times a day just for it to be effective enough and even then it won’t completely eradicate them and you run the risk of reinfestation months later. Tried frontline today on my blue tongues and it’s much easier, it’s perfectly safe if you do thorough research to ensure you do it properly. Frontline works faster and you only need to treat the reptile once a week and you don’t need to clean the tank very frequently, it reduces loads of stress on you and the reptile. Stress weakens immune systems and whatever diseases the mites carry will impact the reptile overtime if you take the longer, more frequent treatments.
Oh my god I love you
You're awesome
Thank you! You too! :-)
so if I have a friend who I know has mites, I shouldn't let them come over or hold the snake until I know they are gone?
I would take my precautions and wait until she knows they are gone. Mites can't live on humans, but she is in the risk of carrying them in her clothes. Just to be one the safe side. They are so difficult to get rid of once you have them. :-)
😍 btw u are so pretty
I love your vids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I hope you get 1k subs
Davin Aubade Thank you! I hope so too! :-)
Neem oil is a natural and useful way to get ride of mites, frontline is really toxic.
Love your pythons
Be very careful with pesticides! Frontline contains a chemical called fipronil, which has been linked to DKS. The same pesticides that target mites target all arachnids, so Frontline can kill your tarantulas, too. Just because you're using it in another room doesn't mean the spiders aren't exposed, as the other room isn't a clean room, so it shares ventilation with your tarantulas' room. For the safety of your spiders, I would strongly recommend looking for a blood mite solution that does not involve pesticides.
Great video, as always! Keep up the good work!
Such valueable and good information! Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I belive that it was the frontline that gave my tarantula dks. Really have to be carefull with this stuff! Thank you again!
You're welcome. Gotta keep an eye on our eight-legged friends!
You’re very adorable haha thanks for this
