BTS BORN SINGER REACTION
#2RealTV
RM was actually 27 in this performance, but he said 29 because that was his Korean age at the time. They actually changed some of the words because they originally recorded this song in 2013 and didn't perform it live until 2015 for the first time. I don't know if you guys like the song I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans but BTS covered that song too. Fix You by Coldplay is also another great cover by BTS. They actually performed 2 other songs during this performance and Anderson .Paak of Silk Sonic played the drums for their song Yet To Come.
A little timeline:
* June 13, 2013 - BTS debuted
* June 18, 2013 - Born Sinner was released
* July 11, 2013 - Born Singer was released unofficially on YT and SC
* June 10, 2022 - Born Singer was released officially in their anthology album "Proof"
Their label's CEO, Bang Shi-hyuk, suggested that they capture their debut experience in a song, and they were inspired by J. Cole's song that they decided to do this remake.
This song is near and dear to our hearts. I remember when the tracklist of "Proof" was revealed, we all freaked out to see that "Born Singer" was the first track! James Fauntleroy who featured in and co-wrote the original song posted, "Kinda can’t believe I can add BTS to my bio now 🥺🥹😭✨".
This particular performance was to promote the album "Proof", so the full video has two more songs, "Yet to Come" (with Anderson Paak on drums) and "For Youth", as well as a discussion on the album in the middle.
In their concerts, they performed this in a circle on a rotating platform on stage and they usually got emotional. The rappers performed their verses more passionately too. ARMY usually sang the next-to-last chorus. There are two performances, the 2015 and 2017 versions, as well a combined version of these two.
RM likes to change the time and his age in his verse to suit the time when they perform this, so the original verse mentions "20 days" (after their debut) but here RM changed that to 10 years. In the original he said he wanted to be a rap star, but here he says he wants to be real me.
Yes. Those were more of intense that we can really deeply feel it.
👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
THIS
I liked your reaction... and I liked knowing that you like J Cole (I assume) as well as BTS and through them I got to know and like him too. I'm going to find out if you reacted to jhope singing with jcole, as well as the bts classic hiphop lovers/ hiphop phile
I still remember their first live performance of this. It gave me chills. The way they were in a circle with their eyes closed facing each other and just rapping/singing their hearts out. Then the way they turned to the audience. It was super touching and it made me bawl my eyes out with happiness for them.
SAME! that first live performance of this song you really feel the song and its lyrics and emotion and energy it really carries!! i cry and get chills everytime I see and even har the song! ah
I recommend bts rapline "outro:tear" the live performance + "ddaeng" (rapline only) with the explanation you need to watch it to understand the wordplay in the song
You should edit this because they might end up watching the Ddaeng performance where the singers do the rap parts as a joke. A-lot of people accidentally choose that one.
@@sailormean1743 done
I wish you reacted to the other performance when they are on stage, i can't hold my tears whenever I watched it, btw thanks for the reaction
The 2015 from Begin and 2017 from Wings Final mash up is a good one😊
@@raenikuletz2673 exactly this one
Agreed. The pure grit and passion in that one is so raw. This one is good too, but the pain in that one can be felt through the screen. Really hope they react to that one too
Agreed
i feel like its important to see where theyre at right now tho, but i see what you mean
This was originally from way back in 2013 released free and never on an album until their proof anthology album in 2022. I personally prefer their old performance of this live on stage with the audience.
same here
Same
Do a reaction video to bts "ddang" it's a rap song and the vocal line version it's also pretty good( they did rapping too)
And bts "ugh" as well it's an iconic rap line song
Also, don't forget the dkdktv explanation of both
The vocal lines rapping was awful (aside from Jungkook) and done as a joke at their muster for only diehard fans to hear because they know it sounds funny. Don’t recommend that to them.
@@sailormean1743 here we go again we have a little f solo stan
@@sailormean1743b no. they all did a great great job rapping ( it wasnt a joke to them it was fun! They were having fun rapping with their rap line like as they always DO! ) u are just hatin cuz u want to . U didnt watch how the vocal line played the rap lines soooo good . U@sshole !! nobody cares abt what u think abt bts ! ++ stay crying n hating while bts enjoy singing their other members lines lmaaaoooo
@@sailormean1743 oh wait a joy you are, such a ray of sunshine
This was actually performed just outside of Las Vegas when they were here for the Grammys and their Permission to Dance concert at the Allegiant Stadium.
Pls do a reaction to bts “tear” its the best rap song
7:07 that's V lol we call him old soul you're gonna know why just like you saw your dad in him 😂
💜🇧🇷💜thanks for the reaction. First time I heard about JCole was because BTS and, after he collaboration with JHope’s song On The Street. 💜
Although they sang this live at least twice in their early days, changing the words slightly to bring them up to date, they hadn’t put it out on an album until it appeared on the Proof album in 2022. Hobi met up with J Cole at Lollapalooza and he guests on Hobi’s album, ‘Jack in the Box’. Watch the old live versions of this.
"On the Street" was a single, not part of Jack in the Box.
@@biru-kelabu-0821 Oops! Thanks for correcting me.
RM's rapping is top notch 🔥
You definitely need to react to Run BTS from the Proof Album
Yup, either the performance from their Busan concert or the dance practice. Or preferably both.
Check out Mic Drop and Run BTS from their Busan Concert! BangtanTV has amazing content!
Definitely Run BTS dance practice. Because you can see the whole choreography. The Busan concert is great too but I prefer the dance practice.
Live performance too!
"Ddaeng" but with the explanation is so good also "fake love"
The one whom you haven't seen the solo yet is V. I recommend you hear his album Layover which is neo soul and jazz. You will realise how diverse they are and multi talented. Listen to Tiny Desk Korea . He sings with a live band and it's totally different from BTS but the album is critically acclaimed. It may not be your thing but you will see how much talent that BTS has in each individual member. Thank you for your reaction.
Yes please hear from him you won't regret and his old solo to.
hello ! thanks for the reaction! saw some fellow armys hoping that you could have chosen the other live version. well, i think the only difference between THAT version and THIS version is their angst. the other live version was performed at a time when they were facing so much doubts and hardships in general. "i'm a born singer" was a line, while it was to convince others that they are INDEED singers, it was more of them convincing themselves that they ARE singers. the rappers' aggressiveness were more obvious on the other live than on this one. for this live, the rappers sang their verses way more softer, as if it is an indication that they have moved on. they are healed. anyway, thank you for reacting !! :)
Yes watch live performance version as the raw emotions hits you. Their authenticity and sincerity as artist hits you.
well said.
8:54 j-hope and J Cole have a song together and he's credited on that Born Singer song too... so he may not have commented on that fan uploaded video but don't worry he's getting the royalties 😂
The stage mix of their 2015/17 performance is awesome ua-cam.com/video/dE68ZbmDi_A/v-deo.htmlsi=VqutVdsBxnkEDQGS. This is great to, but their younger selves hit different. They actually originally wrote and released this 1 month after debut in 2013 to s*undcl*ud for free...the lyrics have been tweaked a bit, but it's basically a time capsule for how they were feeling 10 years ago. For their Proof album in 2022, they were able to get JCole's blessing and officially recorded and released it. It's a really meaningful song for them and us.
This song would always bring the BTS members to tears. It’s still emotional to listen to it because it takes us back to what they we’re going through at the beginning of their career. Thank you for reacting to this song. It’s definitely an important part of BTS history.
My 7 Angels 🥹My Life, My Proud
I can't wait until you check out V's solo work. He was the one you commented about how he was sitting and mentioned he was someone you haven't heard solo yet. His album layover is a neo soul r&b vibe that I think you'll like.
Wow this song is amazing and u guys reacting to it! I love it
Please watch the concert version. They were a lot younger. More passion. It’s 2 concerts mixed and they are wearing black and white, plus they are standing and not sitting like anyone’s dad. This performance is ok. They probably practiced a lot. They have so many songs they sometimes take a minute to remember their own lyrics and choreography.💜
Feeling nostalgia already! The whole session was so good from the live performance to production to location to outfits. Thank you for reacting!!!
Can you imagine making a remake this good that early in your career ( born singer was on sound until 2022) they made it before debuting i think when they were like kids teens💜
Bts's age is now like 26 to 31 when they come back they will be 28-33
BTS knows a lot of artists/songs, specially hip-hop artists. RM and Suga are kind of hip-hop heads.
love the reactions 💜💜💜
I wished you guys had reacted to Born Singer the stage mix compilation. I think that performance was amazing.
I suggest ‘Slow Dancing’ for V’s solo song.
There’s also ‘Singularity’.
Watch the other two songs from this performance. Anderson Paak comes out and plays the drums on the next song and then the last song is SO GOOD.
They did this version before debut in 2013. JCole gave permission. Also this song wasn’t officially released until 2022 when BTS did an anthology album called Proof
BTS IS LEGENDS🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 AT MY 43 YRS OF AGE IVE NEVER SEEN AN ARTISTS WHO IS LOYAL TO THEIR FANS,LOVE THEIR FANS AND ALWAYS PROUD OF THEIR FANS,ITS ONLY BTS....2025 WILL BE A MASSIVE VOMEBACK AND IM ALREADY SAVING MY MONEY FOR THEIR CONCERTS!
As far as covers of BTS songs go, Glamour magazine showed them covers of their songs that people had posted online and they absolutely loved it. They especially loved a metal rock version of their song 'Fake Love'.
One of their classic remakes that’s so good. The rapline especially respects JCole. RM has some songs in his first mixtape rapping on JCole samples.
Concert version is s emotional when they stand in the disc in the stage that is just spinning in place and they stand the first part to sing 'to each other' (of the old days) (and depending on the concert day most of them cry apparently often full on waterfalls) and then in the last part they flip around in place and start singing to ARMY. I'm sobbing just writing this up. It is incredible.
good as this version in its difference and everything, (and how incredible it was to have it in this mini concert💜) to me probably nothing can't ever be good as the old concert version..
The one you say sits like your dad is V voted the most handsome man in the world. Plays sax and trumpet and likes Jazz R&B and Soul. He's got some serious old school swag. He's one of the few people can rock a cardigan. He's now in koreas special forces an elite soldier. Apparently can hit his target every time. All thanks to the reality series Run BTS who used to consistently make BTS repeatedly deal with all the things they stupidly admitted to be afraid of as trainees. V and Suga and J Hope did not like heights. Suga nearly drowned as a kid J Hope also hated snakes etc. It made for amusing footage. Anyway V now repels off mountains etc. Jungkook was also passed as an elite warrior but you cannot be in the special forces with visible tatoos. So he elected to be a cook as there is less sitting around. Lots of heavy lifting, . They are all in the army doing their mandatory service. But they banked content so we still get new content.. They are all out in 2025.
Jk es lo máximo
It's so nice to hear BTS songs that you haven't listened to in a while and appreciate it even more💜
I'd love to see you react to the Busan concert. It was a free online concert they did right before Jin went into the military. Millions watched not knowing that 2 months later that would happen. The energy is soooo good. They do some of the songs you've already reacted to, but you need to check out the different vibe in front of the live audience
I think we all knew military service was going to happen sooner rather than later. But you're right we didn't know exactly when and how they would enlist at the time.
You respect, appreciate and compliment BTS - I subscribe 💜💜💜
these guys werent covering jcoles song they have the same beat but different lyrics to it. they made it their own. also this song is on their Anthology album Proof.
Their voice sync is dope
Please check out one of earlier live performances of this song as well. I love this version but I think the older performances hit a little different because of where they were in their careers at the time.
This channel is for sure underrated, literally guys you all are professional rappers you understand everything ❤ there are reactors out there who don't the shit but still reaction
This was from 2013, but released on there 2022 album Proof. They had only performed it twice before.
They originally recorded this in 2013, soon after they debuted, but it sounds great.
The original video when they were younger is so powerful
Bro I love BTS so freacking much
Some lyrics got updated, it means a lot
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful as always... BTS forever 💜♾️💟♾️
Jungkook vocals are incredible 💜
You guys should react to the whole video❤
born singer hits different in concerts with audience, armys signing along make it the best.
and btw its going to be harder to distinguish vocalists. maybe its easier with v. he has deeper raspy voice. its harder with jin cuz he can sound like jimin in high notes or jk in lower notes.
This whole proof live show is amazing, they did 3 songs .
I would be great to the whole proof live performance of 3 songs and small talk in-between
Thanks You guys 💜💜💜💜💜🫂🫂 bts so proud real artists 👏👏👏
I watch it every once in a while I love this song very much, and your reaction is really beautiful, so I loved it very much
BTS SON CHICOS CON DEMASIADO TALENTO, VOCAL, BAILE, COMPONEN SUS CANCIONES, SON POCOS LOS GRUPOS CON VERDADERO TALENTO Y BTS SON INCREIBLES Y EN COREA NO HAY COMO ELLOS, SON EL ORGULLO DE SU PAIS, Y GRACIAS A ELLOS EL KPOP SE ABRIO AL MUNDO
Uh ok
J Hope used to dance to J Cole's music and J Cole is his Muse. J Hope invited J Cole to feature on his track On the Street.
Love your content, and would love to see more! I recommend listening to "UGH!" and also "ddaeng" which are both songs performed by rapline
Since you like JCole you should listen to RM’s song Monster which uses JCole’s Simba track. It’s on his mixtape RM.
You need to watch the whole concert. They did 3 songs and each was one amazing
Great follow up would be an old live perfomance of this song!!
Love your reactions, you are so funny 😅. Can't wait to see you reacting to Outro Tear and UGH!!!
Thank you so much 💜 it's morning here, and i am sure today will be great...
My lovely Angels.. I’m crying
Please react to Ugh, tear, ddaeng, and run bts. I suggest checking the lyric videos first and then perhaps the explanation videos (explanation of the lyrics or the idea/thoughts behind the lyrics) and then lastly the live performances where bts always sounded better and are truly enjoyable/amazing to watch.
Thank you guys :) You are so nice 😊
personally, the stage mix of this is still the best version .
The guy on the left side sounds like Sharky from Beta Squad 😭😭😭
I recommend 'OUTRO TEAR' especially the live version. You won't be disappointed
BTS has covered some amazing songs including I'll Be Missing You
It would have been better to react to the older performance of this song (or the stagemix of 2015 & 2017), the grit in their voices the tears they're trying to hold back, the audience who sang with them, the timely testament of their lyrics, they were going through a lot...always gets me really emotional... this performance (2022) was with them in their tranquil emotional state, after they already achieved many big success and overcame all the past struggles, this version of performance is so calm & serene...
You should try to cover a BTS song and change it up. Other amateur musicians have done it and it’s been well-received. BTS themselves have reacted to some of the covers and they loved them. One example is BTS Watches Fan Covers on UA-cam / Glamour. Another reactor did a remixed cover of Fake Love with rave reviews.
Another reactor/rapper rapped over the beat from "Ddaeng". It was pretty good!
So proud of BTS!
Thank you, very good 🥰💜💜💜
Yea do their older version 2015 it's so good. It's live. Also yes BTS are fans of JCole and JHope did a song with JCole called Hope on the street watch the MV he's in it too.
Thank you very much😊 for reacting to BTS' songs.🫶🏻💜
Suga's (AgustD) songs "Haegeum" and "Snooze" are my fav from Suga.🙌
JHope came out with a solo song "hope on the street" with JCole. JCOLE is also in the music video with Jhope rapping. You should react to that, Jhope is a fan of JCole.
BTS FOREVER ❤ somos ARMYS las fans mas grande y unidas del mundo. Tengo 58 sños y soy de Argentina saludos!!!
I like “we on” they were very young on that one
Love this reaction 💜💜
Nice that you react to this song live bangtan love j cole
Thanks guys for the reaction
I hope y'all react to outro:tear by bts rapline, specifically the live performance. the emotions are crazy. at that time bts were considering disbanding, it was a really hard time for them, at first look it may seem like the song is about a couple breaking up, but its about the members.
As of last year, the Korean government discontinued the Korean aging system and now everyone is on normal international age. (Counting from day 1 of birth making you 1day old etc)
Check out V's solo songs ! . I'm not sure that u would enjoy his songs since they're R&B and Jazz (he's a baritone singer) . And u guys seem to enjoy hip-hop more but maybe you'll enjoy his songs cuz they're really good .😊
J -Hope took his name from J Cole. LOL. That band, wow, Anderson Paek band and he's drumming.
react to(BTS come back home + no more dream + mic drop live concert
BTS ugh + cypher 3 killer yet to come in busan
BTS mic drop dance break performance
BTS intro + we are bulletproof pt2 5th muster
I like your reactions❤🇧🇷
You should watch the original release. It's outstanding. What you just watched was an updated version, equally good, but I love the original.
BTS ❤❤
Please react to Run BTS yet to come concert and the dance practice 💜
I recommend time traveling to Pre-debut BTS then work ur way 4wrd through their albums. Their growth is mind blowing
Ohh not this version, the older one was perfect to show you how young they were when they wrote those lyrics
I'd like to see your reaction for BTS "Yet to come"
Thanks for the reaction!
Try PERSONA by RM (live)
Then SHADOW by SUGA (MV)
And EGO by J-Hope
That the main component of your psychological inner self (by Carl Jung)
💜💜 I loved 🇧🇷
