What a perfect song to check out to see their talent. One of my favorites. You're right, Jhope is more on the melodic side in comparison to the other rappers. You also have to keep in mind that they released this song shortly after their debut in 2013. Jhope had only learned rap whilst being a trainee (they all were trainees before debuting as bts). The other two, Suga & RM had been rapping since long before bts. Jhope had to learn and develop is own style over time. Just a FYI, Jhope actually just headlined Lollapalooza by himself and completely crushed it and caused his day to sell out (I was there and it was a 10/10 experience). I grew up on rap, r&b etc. and I appreciate all the rappers for what they uniquely bring to the table. I'm glad that the response to the first video was pretty positive. We strive to be kind, but some people can get a little carried away. Thanks for being open to giving them a fair chance.

After each song you'll listen your opinion of who's the best rapper will change. So in a nutshell all 3 are fucking dope.
We do not compare them because all 3 have very distinctive style of rapping. It's all about what you prefer.

The BTS rapline is just so versatile. I have a highlight for every song, and it's never the same. Trying to compare them gets harder the more you listen to them and see their range, because they truly can do anything and everything the others can. But I think RM is the most creative when it comes to wordplay/metaphors/rhyme scheme, Suga has the most versatility in where he places his voice and pitch, and J-hope's voice blends between genres the best. Suga's voice often has a lot of nasal resonance, but he's also really good at singing/rapping from his chest voice and head voice and anywhere in between. Suga just plays around with pitch the most out of the 3, but J-hope is a really close second. No matter what genre RM and Suga do, their voices and cadences always have a hip-hop/rap/underground vibe to it, even when they sing. J-hope probably is the hardest to pin down because he trained with Suga and RM, so he reads as an in between of their two styles when you try to compare the three of them together.

Haha don’t be afraid of the fandom, you’ll realize we’re a really nice community! We’re protective of the boys, yes, but we remain respectful as long as others are. You can dislike songs and content, sure, we don’t get angry because of that. It’s just that we’ve seen too many people who brush them off and neglect their talent just because they’re Asian/Korean, labeling them without giving them a listen. I think it’s not a shock that our fandom’s constantly against racism and xenophobia, that’s what Bts is destined to face in their career. They are insanely talented in lots of areas, really influential in a good way, and are very genuine people. You’ll understand what we mean by that down the road.

Wow! Just found you guys and I can’t wait for you to hear more BTS. You’re going to be floored once you realize just how hard these rappers can go and how incredible the vocalists are. j-hope just headlined Lallapalooza in Chicago on July 31st. He sold more tickets than any artist in Lalla’s 32 year history. 105,000 people were there! Suga (aka August D) is one of the most passionate and fastest rappers you’ll ever here. RM is crazy good and is the one that will have the most English overall in his rap lines. Note: You need to always look for their live performances because they are incredible live. They just did a live performance of Born Singer in June. There are also “Explained” videos for lots of BTS songs because they are deep with their lyrics. Last, to really appreciate BTS, you need to watch “Introduction to BTS: The Bangtan 7” by Taylor. It’s long, but we ARMYs will stick with you if you have a genuine interest. My best advice is to either watch it all at one time or split it into two. My suggestions to get you started are the Cyphers 1-4, HipHop Lover and Mic Drop (Steve Aioki remix). They have over 300 tracks/songs in their back catalogue which includes the whole group, various combinations of members, individual songs, mix tapes and now one official album from j-hope “Jack in the Box” released on 7/15/22. All of the members are working on solo projects right now. We expect at least one more release this year. Have fun on your journey! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Lol loved the surprise! Thanks for checking it out! BTS surprises many with their versatility and the Western media pigeon holes them into NSync or Backstreet Boys lol There are Cyphers 1-4 color coded lyric videos and a live Cypher Medley w subtitles which are a staple for rapline stans. I Personally like Hip Hop Lover (live with subtitles) as they name drop their rap inspirations like Notorious Big, Rakim, J Cole, Em Nas etc. First time reactors have called Suga the Korean Em for some of his solos. Daechwita isn't one he speed raps in but the mv is one of my favorite mvs ever produced as it uses traditional historic Korean settings, instrumentation, and his swag is unmatched.
RM has been likened to Busta and Em on his solo tracks one of the most popular is "Joke" you will want a lyric video for that one he has 9 flows and never breathes. For an English track "Change ft Wale" is great. He's the only member fluent in English and will weave English wordplay into his Korean lyrics. Cypher #2 he uses a lot of English as well.
J-Hope - it's been said is the easiest to digest as his rap flow is very melodic. He let's things breathe as he started out as a street dancer. He recently headlined at Lollapalooza to promote his solo album. "Hangsang" live at Lolla has been one of Army's favorites recently. An mv of his I like is "Airplane" it's a chill vibe 😌 ✨
if your up for it there's an intro video by Taylor Nakamoto called introduction to the Members of Bangtan 7. Their discography is overwhelming at first and this video is the most well rounded introduction as it will answer almost every question a new listener wants to know. There's a lot here and you'll have many more suggestions 🤔 just grab whatever peaks your interest and enjoy the ride 😆

This was a great reaction! I enjoyed your commentary about the different rappers in BTS. This is a pretty old song of theirs which was released in the beginning of their careers (BTS debuted in 2013) so they have come very far with their style of rapping & singing.
    - RM (leader of BTS) & Suga used to be underground rappers before joining BTS and J-hope learned rapping after joining their company so he used to practice with the other rappers and has now developed his own style.
    - All the three rappers have now released 2 solo albums each, the most recent being J-hope who released 'Jack in the Box' in July.
    - I personally love Suga's style and songs the most and his second album D-2 has some of my favorite songs on it, but J-hope's albums are just amazing and very artistic with a LOT of fun and crazy vibes mixed. RM's second mixtape 'Mono' hit me quite hard with everything he talks about in it, plus his lyricism is just *chef's kiss* and his first album has some HEAVY and crazy beats (correct me if I am wrong, but I think he used a lot of samples of western rap or hip hop artists for his first mixtape so you guys might be able to identify some of them).
To sum it all up I appreciate all their rap styles and songs for varying reasons and they all bring something different to the table.
Some song recommendations I think you guys might like-
    Mic Drop
    On (Kinetic Manifesto Film)
    Black Swan
    Idol
    Fire
    Fake Love
BTS Room Live Festa 2021 (Its a medley of their B-sides. You can easily identify their versatility and fun stage presence)- ua-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/v-deo.html
Ps. Lyricism is KEY for BTS songs so I would really appreciate it if you turn on the cc while reacting to their MVs or read them on your own time.
Apologies if this comment was a little too long or overwhelming😆
Thanks and have a nice day!💜💜💜💜

There are people who prefer the styles of one member over another. But there really isn't a "best one" in BTS for ARMY. Each member has a style of their own but they all blend so well together. I recommend songs like Hip-Hop Lover, Rain, Am I Wrong, Whalien 52, Dis-ease. They have a lot of B-sides that get overshadowed by their "pop" songs.
And also don't judge then by one song, J-hope does do melodic rap very well, but he cab go hard too. Each member has solo work, so if you want to get an idea of each of their styles listen to those as well.

My favorite song with RM rapping in English is BTS' "Cypher Pt. 2" -- he doesn't rap 100% in English, I'd say it's about 60-40 Korean/English, but it's just flipping impressive how quickly he switches between the two languages and kills it in both! It happens to be a diss track, too, which are always really fun.... It's primarily RM and Suga, clapping back at their former underground rap associates, who had immediately turned on them when they left underground and formed BTS. Since J-Hope wasn't a part of underground originally, he mostly serves as a kind of MC during the song, setting up and introducing RM & Suga as they slay their haters. I hope you give it (and all the Cyphers; there are 4) a listen!

J-Hope made history by headlining Lollapalooza this year, with his new solo album (Jack In The Box) and a few of the BTS songs. Even the event people were calling it Hobipalloza (Hobi being one of his nicknames). You've GOT to check it out!

Looking forward to your journey! Lyrics are EVERYTHING with these guys. I love to watch everything several times to understand the essence of the song and eventually I can just listen to the beautiful music without knowing what they are saying but completely understanding the message. I'm am fairly new to BTS but literally have devoured their content over the past few months and cannot tell you how impressed and honestly overwhelmed I am with how amazing they are. I have seen all the best recommendations already in the comments so you've got plenty to keep you going for awhile! Also, their music videos typically tell a story and are connected in many ways. Lots of breakdowns out there if you're into that kind of thing. One suggestion I have is do not feel like you have to choose a fav or a "bias". Mine literally changes daily depending on what I am listening to and what mood I'm in. Once you know them better, someone may rise to the top but for now, just take it all in and enjoy the ride. You're gonna love it!

I just happened on this channel and yes there are reactors who just caters and react to BTS just for the views and oohs and ahhs to get the Army’s support but eventually falls into the deep rabbit hole that BTS is. All we ask from reactors is be respectful and no comparisons bcuz it is unfair for the artists. No two artists are ever the same. Thank you for giving the chance to the boys. Army loves them very much and are super protective of them. And btw ARMY IS 90M strong…

There's nothing better than finding people with one opinion of BTS slowly start to see the other sides of them. And most of Army is going to be nice about it. That's the culture BTS I stills in us as their fans. And all of the rappers have their own unique style that somehow works together in their songs. But each of them is a force to be reckoned with on their own. You'll se them throw some English in, and that's just normal in K-Pop. RM is the only one who is actually fluent in English, so he usually has the most. But it's nice seeing you guys try it with open minds after the last video. And don't worry about "catering" to us, we want to see your real thoughts. If you like it, you can say it. But also, if you don't like something, don't be afraid to mention it. Not everyone is going to vibe with every song, because we are all unique. And letting us know there was something you didn't vibe with will just help us Filter out song recommendations to help guide you to the right ones you might enjoy more. Thanks for the great reaction, guys.

Their Proof live session of this is amazing. Highly recommend! Also for the rap line, Cypher 1-4 are all great. 4 is my favorite. RM and Suga were underground rappers before they were part of BTS. J-Hope is great and he just did Lalapalooza as the headline act on the final night and the first Korean Solo act to headline. All three have free albums on SoundCloud. Suga goes by Agust D for his solo work. 💜💜💜.

Ahhhhhh niiiiiiiice !! Glad you reacted this song, it’s a great introduction to them and what they’re about ! (BTS is originally a Hip-Hop group so you’ll often hear their influence in their songs and them giving credits to said influence).
I don’t wanna talk too much and I’m sure other Army’s will give you more detailed informations.
But I have to add a little more :
RM is actually the leader of the group and one of the main songwriter (all of them are but especially the rappers). His verses often has both Korean and English wordplays, but for full verses in English here are a few collab he did :
Champion -Fall out Boy ft RM (remix)
    Change - Wale ft RM
Crying over you - Honne ft BEKA, RM
Thank you !!! Keep it up 💜

Other songs that are specifically the rapline that I'd recommend:
    Cyphers 1-4
    Outro: Tear
Ddaeng (suggest you also watch the explanation by a Korean by DKDKTV because, as you noted, rap is incredibly difficult to translate)
Ugh (also suggest the explanation by DKDKTV)
You'd also probably love Suga's song Daechwita, which was released under his solo artist name AgustD.
As a general note, RM's lyrics tend to be the *most* difficult to translate because he is trilingual and loves to play with language in his lyrics.

the rappers incorporate English into their lyrics but they mainly rap in Korean and Japanese, which is a language I believe they're all fluent in. RM, Suga and j-hope (the rappers) write their lyrics precisely how they should be with intricate details and their bars are fire. I especially recommend their song Ddaeng. Totally fire. Make sure you react to lyrics explanation vid right after to blow you away haha. The rapline also releases solo projects so I recommend:
    RM: Joke
Suga (aka Agust D): AgustD (the song)
    j-hope: Arson
all fire songs, they have so many more but these are great onrs

please dont watch lyric videos through Jaeguchi channel. They're infamous for being lazy and inaccurate in their translations. That's because they prioritize speed and upload videos within minutes of a new song's release. This is why they always have the most views, because they always show up first when searching lyric videos. i'd honestly recommend any other lyric video, even those with few views cause they tend to be more accurate in their translations. having said that, the best translations are done by doolset's webpage (unfortunately they're not on youtube).

RM is one of the best rapper in the Industry. His wordplay is amazing, he wrote lyrics for many BTS's songs. he is also the leader of BTS. SUGA is the fastest rapper in the industry (kinda savage) a writer and best producer also. J HOPE has his own unique style. He is the rapper, sub vocal and Dance leader of the group. All seven of them have their solo songs. u should also check their recent song "RUN BTS".

suga and rm both were underground rappers before joining bts. jhope learned how to rap while still in bts, and then eventually gained his own style. and no, jhope in comparison to all bts’ poppy stuff is not why we see him as an amazing rapper lol 😭. he is amazing and not any less talented than the other 2. we appreciate all their senses of rapping skills, and the reason ppl have been requesting jhope is because he released a solo album lately and it goes really hard, i wont explain more as that is for you to find out yourself :). jhope came from being a street dancer, and his raps were always more melodic and had a unique and amazing flow, and that’s exactly what he needed to bring to the table, which is why some were shocked by the change in demeanour when he dropped his new album. you should react to “run bts” next, a new song off their new album proof and it has a more rap rock feel, or hip hop phile where they pay their respects to their hip hop origins and inspirations!

Glad that you enjoyed this. Maybe Let go of comparison based upon this one song. I might have understood incorrectly, so I apologise if that’s the case but you seemed to be suggesting that ARMY were mentioning JHope because his style based upon this is a bit less RAP and so more palatable for ARMY.
This is not the case, but you will discover this as you go on.Watch Outro “Tear” live at Wembley featuring the rap line- RM, SUGA and JHOPE. It is breathtaking .
Suga AK Agust D - “Daechwita “ MV is epic.
JHope recently headlined solo at LOLLAPALOOZA and gave a masterclass in versatility.
    Check out “MORE”.
I’m not so au fait with RM’s solo but I’m sure “Joke” came up.
Re language, the songs they did in the pandemic were in English for a purpose but generally they intersperse some English but the core of the lyrics will be in Korean, naturally.
It’s no biggie. Most of their stuff will have subtitles by now. The lyrics are important because aside from the 3 pandemic English songs Butter, Dynamite and Permission to dance, the lyrics are generally pretty deep.
Also all 7 of these guys are super talented. Rap may be your thing but the whole band songs showcase their incredible range including the vocal line- Jungkook, V , Jimin and Jin.
Lastly, the dynamic you mustn’t forget with BTS is choreography.
For a song that encompasses everything-rap, vocal magnificence and stunning choreography , my top tip is - “ON” Kinetic Manifesto MV. It’s a blast!

you keep saying you can't understand what they are saying when the lyrics translations are RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU...
The translators in our fandom (doolset, muish, wisha, colinsh3 ) work really hard to translate the korean lyrics to multiple languages for us.
The least we can do is read the damn lyrics.
BTS lyrics are why army exists.
Please just read. Make the video longer, we don't care as long as we see you read???
    Also
Jhope just dropped a fire album, it's called jack in the box, the genre is old-school hiphop, you may wanna check that out.
You can find the entire thing with lyrics on a channel called 'enjoy bts more'.
He also performed the entire thing on his lollapalooza stage.
RM, Suga and jhope have so many songs together as well as their own mixtapes, you can check those out too.
rm and suga will soon be releasing their albums as well.
Also rm does some rap in English but only because he is bilingual...
They are korean... they will be mainly be rapping in their language.
So dont expect much when you ask for rap in English...
Map of the soul 7 is their best selling album... why don't you guys do a review?
    BUT PLEASE READ THE LYRICS...
You can find the best ones on youtube in a channel called dial

    • @DontSigh
      @DontSigh 2 роки тому

It's kinda pointless to read the "translation" from the lyric videos though, they're often wrong or oversimplify things. Probably better not to take them too seriously. It's better to use the fandom translators like the ones you mentioned and just catch the general subject matter from the lyric videos.

    • @ralphy383

@@DontSigh the one they reacted to in this video was not bad at all actually...

These boys are good and kind people who care immensely about their fanbase. So even if their music isn't your cup of tea, they deserve more respect than anyone in the industry. I'm actually glad I saw this reaction first before Bad Decisions coz i wouldn't have given this chance. But I honestly am interested to follow your BTS journey. Thank you for this 🙏💜

RM has one song where he raps in english and it's "RM feat. Wale-change" . You can check that out. Just some of his lines in bts songs are in english.

It's always a shock when the first song anyone reacts to from BTS doesn't represent them fairly and then you got hit and shocked by second song with their true raw powerful talent RM has a song which I adore called "change" with Wale it's one of my favoritesssss give it a try and listen to it you will love it and it's in English although all his solo songs are on another level beside Suga and Jhope they also ROCK , I reached a point whatever song I listen to becomes a favorite they made it toooooo hard for us to pick a fav one 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

This song is definitely one of their bests, so much so they put it as their first song on their Anthology album, Proof. You should check their live performance of this song - either the Proof one or the 2017 one (I personally love the 2017 one, it's AMAZING seeing them perform before ARMY).
Also - I think y'all need to check out their actual MV's. You're missing out on their actual performances, choreo, artistry, etc. I'm sure you've gotten a lot of recs but I'd def start with "Room Festa Live" to get a taste of everything. And then hit some of their top tier bangers: Mic Drop, Black Swan, On Kinetic Manifesto Film, Save Me, Blood Sweat Tears, Fake Love, Daechwita, UGH, Idol, the CYPHERS (1-4). There's actually too many to name. But that's a good place to start.
Happy journey down the BTS rabbit hole!
