1. What I love about this song is that it describes the different relationship each rapper has with hip-hop, which also relates to their roles in music. *RM is a poet.* He says, "To me who would normally scribble just stories or poems", and in Wild Flower, "Yeah, my beginning was poetry, it’s the one and only strength and dream that has kept me going." They r not only the biggest artist in Korea but they r one of the biggest artist in the world . They are 2nd most viewed artist on UA-cam . They are most streamed group on Spotify and 9th overall artist . They r sixth most streamed artist on overall audio streaming platforms. They r the artist with the most billboard digital No.1s ever. They r also the second artist with the most songs No.1s on billboard hot 100 this decade . They r the fourth most awarded artist in the world only after Michael Jackson ,Taylor swift and Beyoncé . They are 30+ Guinness record holders as a group . They also hold the record for the artist with the biggest debut on billboard 200 chart . They r also the artist with the most songs reaching No.1 in 100+ countries they are also one of the only artist who probably have done sold out staduim shows (50k+ capacity) around the world . They also became the 12th artist to ever sell out wembley staduim (90k+ capacity) for two days . And these are not even 5% of their record and achievements. They contribute 4.9billion $ to their country’s economy, which is crazy .They r truly legendary how they achieved all of this in span of only 10years .I am so proud of them . Sorry for the long paragraph . I can’t help myself ,when I am talking about bts lol 😂

The way you describe Suga and the way he fluctuates his voice is exactly the reason why I love his flow so much. I love RM for his ability to always switch cadences as well as his diction. I love Hope for his ability he brings such high energy. This is one of my all-time favorites. BTS always pays homage to those they admire. And because of the homage they pay, people who've never heard of KRS One, Ella Fitzgerald, Epik High, Nat King Cole, and even Frank Sinatra are now buying their records and getting a taste of old-school nostalgia. Btw, I am also from Chicago. Shoutout to my fellow Chicagoans. What part are you from?
@@jessicapierce3027 agree to disagree. While some of the lyrics to the chorus aren’t the best I still think it is a great song & underrated. You have to really understand the lyrics of the whole song to understand what they are getting at in the chorus & once you know it, the chorus isn’t that bad.
It started in the 1970’s with Sugar Hill Gang and Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force, there wasn’t cd’s or discs, it was records. I had both on 45 and then later cassettes.

I think this song was written in 2013, but RM and Suga had been rapping for many years before that. These guys aren't the biggest band in South Korea, well they are, but they are currently the biggest band in the world.
RM had Wale as a feature on a song called “Change” back in 2017 and there’s a music video (it’s in english). Btw, BTS rappers were hip-hop nerds before BTS and before being mentored by Warren G and Coolio which gave them ground level knowledge and experience. Any other group that have members that rap in their songs just rap the verses given to them by their label, they don’t really know much about hip-hop.
Valeu! Hello boys, how are you? I would like to ask you to react to BTS at MMA2019 Thank you for your reaction today, I'm looking forward to the next ones be well 💜💜💜💜

CHANGE - RM X WALE 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Suga's verse is suorter but super raw what he did and went through u'll just feel how hiphop was his dream to be a rapper now he is a rapper producer songwriter etc
I feel like the Proof Live 2022 is the best. It's recent, and it shows them flowing without any edits so it hits different imo. But love the stage mix too.

Guys, look up the Korean artist, Seo Taiji, since you guys were talking about hiphop references. KPop starts with him basically, 3 decades ago, & there would be no BTS & all of the KPop industry if it were not for Seo Taiji. He helped magnify & popularized Hiphop/rap, as well as continue & mix rock & metal into his music. He also popularized street & hiphop dancing choreography, as well as hiphop fashion in Korea. There are other notable figures in S.Korea that helped along the way but the KPop we have today in its form & existence in our universe could not have happened without Taiji. Also, the word KPop is really just the western media nickname for this industry, it should really just be called Idol music industry, although the word & concept of Idol also is from the US, because that goes far back to the days of Sinatra (RIP) in the 1940s, which is now 80+ years ago, when he became an idol of his heyday. There is a long history of western/US music getting adopted by Korea going as far back as the 19th century & because of that is why we have KPop & BTS today. Lastly, one thing to note is that the big irony of KPop is that it became more pop, R&B, hiphop & choreography because of Taiji, but yet Taiji is first & foremost a metal & rock multi-instrumental musician. By that logic, KPop should have become rock & metal, but it did not because of what Taiji did in the early 1990s. It is a long story & I could write several more paragraphs about Taiji, but I will stop here, heh. Also keep in mind that hiphop basically started in the early 1970s in the US, as you noted, although its manifestation started in the 1960s, a lot of it due to racial politics of the time.
RM and Wale song called Change. RM at the tender age of 20 was produced by Warren G. All of the vocalists sang the hook. BTS is the biggest group in the World not just in South Korea. They have global success. They began as a Hip Hop group before K-pop. What I learned listening to artists from SK, Japan, they have loved Black/ Latino culture for years. They study MJ performances because they are performance artists. BTS always gives 10000% during their concerts because they want the audience to leave with a memory of a great experience. They sell out the largest arenas in the US, Japan, SK, Uk and more. They easily sell out 80k arenas. They held 4 sold out concerts at So-Fi stadium in Cali, Allegiant Stadium in Vegas. The tickets sell out during their presale. They love something, they go all in. They study the greats. Jhope studied hip hop dance-boogaloo, poppin, loc, b-boy. The members of BTS listen to Jazz, Big Band, R&B, Soul. They love music. Dance. They give props to the originators. Their song Wake Up sounds like 80’s West Coast hip hop.
Please make sure you use these lyric videos as a guide only. Some of the translations are not great. They were teenagers when they wrote this. Amazing. You should react to MONSTER by RM which is totally a boom bap beat. GOD RAP is also cool.💜
2:39 I completely believe it from RM. The man loves to read & has been known to get inspired from novels, psychology books, poetry, scientific facts, among many other sources.
Thing is lots of ppl like artists that are not main stream, BTS had a huge fanbase in 2015, they were popular internationally but only if you knew about kpop, the same with rap, with them being lovers of hip hop they no doubt knew of the non mainstream artists. Obviously they mention those known as they were a huge inspiration but me being in the kpop scene I knew of BTS in 2012 because kpop was my thing. BTS being the biggest group in the world not just Korea with millions of international fans, the international fans outweigh Korean fans now because that's how big they are. I will say that since 2020 the newer international fans are not the same as pre 2020, the fandom was amazing, although bigger now it's also more toxic. 😢
I suggest this song 😊 thankyou for the reaction guys next maybe check out RM - Monster lyrics ver Jhope - Arson mv AgustD - The Last lyrics ver BTS - We On BTS - We are bulletproof PT.2 BTS - Born Singer live performance with lyrics ver 😊😊😊💜💪
Not only in Japan and Korea, I'm Singaporean, they played hiphop in clubs in the 90s. The Malay Singaporean people are more inclined to these type of music. We're like the Hispanic version in our country. Actually hiphop was already known throughout South East Asia way back then. Most of us are the same age as Snoop & Tupac. 😂
Born singer for the next, please... Live perform, okayy? 😂 i love that one performance, part of PROOF live in 2022, CMIIW, i mean, everyone just sooo fine 🤩😅 And thank you 💜
They are actually the #1 artist in the world this year, Taylor Swift being #2. Last year she was #1 and they were #2 and those two have been at the top for years!!
Fantastic reaction - and yeah, RM did his research, for sure, because once he got into hip-hop he was obsessed with it. The other members have talked about how he (and the other rapline guys, but very specifically RM) used to give out thumb drives of music so they understood exactly what their influences were. He still cites Nas as one of his major influences and how he got so tongue tied when he got to meet him. You can see in their solo albums reflections of their roots and how they've decided to build themselves as artists out of that. RM has gotten fairly experimental; Suga likes to play with old school and modern sounds (like including drill on his album) when making beats; j-hope loves old school boom bap a lot, and often returns to that well with modern producers to make an interesting meld of beats. These guys grew up in the 2000s, but have been active in the 2010s, and their music incorporates a lot from both decades. Looking forward to the next one, yall!

I’m more of a R&B girl than straight hip hop but as a Malaysian teen in the 90s it was definitely possible to find out about genre artists if you knew where to look. Certain magazines, certain music reviewers, a certain late night radio show, that sort of thing. Later on we also started to get MTV and that made it a lot easier bc it was very American-oriented. Our top 40 usually reflected what was a hit in the US and UK too. That’s how I grew up in Malaysia in the 90s and was listening to Babyface, En Vogue, Blackstreet, TLC, Aaliyah and all of that But it goes even further back, like my dad was listening to things like Pink floyd, Eric Clapton, BB King when he was younger. Western music has been a part of our culture for a long long time

Have you reacted to J-hope "Chicken Noodle Soup" Feat. Becky G? I noticed you are quoting J-hope's collab with one of his idols J.Cole "On the Street". Lol! Cool! 💜
I don’t think anyone has mentioned this yet so I will! Rm and Suga did a collab with juice wrld in 2019 called all night. They’re all obviously rapping on it but it’s got more of a vibey r&b vibe, I’d love for y’all to check it out at some point!
Girl of my dream ft Suga too
You should see a performance of this song live!! It's so good. This is one of my favorite BTS songs. Also agreed! One of the reasons why Suga is my favorite rapper in BTS it's bcs of his vocal dynamics.
They r not only the biggest artist in Korea but they r one of the biggest artist in the world .
I can’t help myself ,when I am talking about bts lol 😂
they are not just biggest artist in south korea they are the biggest artist in the world with the biggest and most powerful fandom in the world💯
Happy Birthday to our Hope and Sunshine to the World, JHOOOOOOOPE!!! 🤗😂🤩👏🏽🕺🎶🎤👑🥇🏆🌎🎂🎈🎁🥳🎉🎊🍾🥂✌️🙏 #Hobiuary #HappyJhopeDay #JhopeJiTB #HappyBirthdayJhope
12:11 Guys, RM collaborated with Wale. You should definitely check that out. 😂
4:08 BTS is one of the biggest artists in the world they are surpassing pop artists whether as group or soloists
RM and Suga had a collab with Juice World and it is FIRE 🔥
Also Suga collabed with JW on Girl of My Dreams.
All night is fantastic!
All the singers sang the chorus alternately 😁👍🏽
The are not only the biggest artist in Korea, the are the biggst group in the world, The have 6 nr 1 songs at Billboard 100, 6 nr 1 Albums at Billboard 200 and 12 Billboards Awards and the even won Artist off the year at American Ama, also for 5 years the won Top Social artist in Billboard. Bts write and produced there songs
Not very many people have mentioned this collab and it honestly is underrated but RM did a collab with Warren G called P.D.D
It's kind of cringe. The chorus anyway.
@@jessicapierce3027 agree to disagree. While some of the lyrics to the chorus aren’t the best I still think it is a great song & underrated. You have to really understand the lyrics of the whole song to understand what they are getting at in the chorus & once you know it, the chorus isn’t that bad.
Even Jhope x J. Cole did collaborating
It started in the 1970’s with Sugar Hill Gang and Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force, there wasn’t cd’s or discs, it was records. I had both on 45 and then later cassettes.
Ahhh! Early 80’s for me. Whodini, Grandmaster Flash, NewCleus….
I came here to say this. Let's be clear on the origins of hip hop...and get them facts straight! Lol...overall been loving their reactions though.
They are not just the biggest group in south Korea .they are the globally known biggest famous group in the world dude.they r the legend s .They hv multiple records in the world nd Guinness world records so maybe u can search it up all their achievement.also thank u for the reaction hope to see more BTS reaction
I think this song was written in 2013, but RM and Suga had been rapping for many years before that. These guys aren't the biggest band in South Korea, well they are, but they are currently the biggest band in the world.
"HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1" by #jhope
•Release Date: March 29, 2024.
#HOPE_ON_THE_STREET #BTS #방탄소년단
Since you like Cole World BTS did remake of Born Singer check it out
Please watch cypher and ugh at busan concert you need to watch this 🔥
Along with Run BTS and FIRE
RM had Wale as a feature on a song called “Change” back in 2017 and there’s a music video (it’s in english). Btw, BTS rappers were hip-hop nerds before BTS and before being mentored by Warren G and Coolio which gave them ground level knowledge and experience. Any other group that have members that rap in their songs just rap the verses given to them by their label, they don’t really know much about hip-hop.
Hip hop is beyond universal these guys are absolutely the biggest group no cap.
Valeu!
Hello boys, how are you?
I would like to ask you to react to BTS at MMA2019
Thank you for your reaction today, I'm looking forward to the next ones
be well 💜💜💜💜
We will be sure to react to it and thanx for the super thanks. We really appreciate it
The fact people don't understand, They are biggest group in the world despite being on hiatus currently, no other group in this current era is even close to them, they are no 1 by ifpi beating other top 10 western artist for 2 years in a row now
can you guys react to born singer by BTS its such a good song
Guys.. j-hope *Hope on the street* coming soon on march 2024... Please check the teaser
As a 67 old lady, grew up with all the music in the world, on bakelite lp, vinyl lp, cassette tapes, CD
Don’t forget the 8 tracks 😂 singing along in the car and everyone knew when to pause for it to switch in the middle of a song 😂😂
BTS all did that 💯.
The big one is jealous, I can sense it from their first reaction. He’s giving mad “foo” energy
I came straight to the commenta after the Wale comment to make sure someone mentioned RM's collab. Im guessing that reaction will be up soon? Hope you guys are liking things so far. And also check out Outro Tear live performance if you havent yet- thanks for the reaction- like your guys input on the music, lyrics etc
Did you know that J-Hope has a song in collaboration with J-Cole, namely "Hope on the street".
It's just called On the Street, they already reacted to that song.
They even quote J. Cole's bars during this reaction
CHANGE - RM X WALE 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Suga's verse is suorter but super raw what he did and went through u'll just feel how hiphop was his dream to be a rapper now he is a rapper producer songwriter etc
Yaaaas 🎉🎉 I've been waiting for this one 🔥🔥🔥
14:36 LETS GO!!!! SUGA
Suga says it with his chest. Always. 💜
Please react to the live performance of Hip Hop Lover - 2017. You will not regret it!!!
You really should react to all 7 of them
Whoa the gang is growing 😂.. BTS forever 💜♾️💟💜🔥✌️🇮🇪
Biggest group worldwide 😉💜🌏
Please, if you react to Born Singer, do the live performance compilation. That one comes with subtitles. It is amazing.
I feel like the Proof Live 2022 is the best. It's recent, and it shows them flowing without any edits so it hits different imo. But love the stage mix too.
‘Look here ‘and ‘we on’ are my favourites
This was best live. On the red bullet they actually performed it with a live band and it was soooo good.
rappers have albums to understand everything, you need to listen to them, for example Suga August D, D2 and Dday
Guys.. today 18th February j-hope birthday.. it's Hobi day... Please reaction to j-hope lollapalooza to celebrate his birthday.. ARMY sure love it so much 💜
i genuinely love this song So much. gotta be in my top 3
Me dying cause RM and Wale have a song together!!!!
It's not that they do their researches , they absolutely grow up with these rappers. They know them because they were like their inspirations
RM has a collaboration with WALE! The track is called Change. I love it
You guys would like Dis-ease. It has all 7 members and j-hope is the main writer of the song :)
Woww woww bts level IMPACT Big artists , compositors productors rapper vocal línes DANCERs 💜🔥👏🔥👏🔥🔥👏🔥
2:39 I completely believe it from RM. The man loves to read & has been known to get inspired from novels, psychology books, poetry, scientific facts, among many other sources.
RM x WALE ( CHANGE )
RM x WARREN G ( please don’t die )
RM x Krizz Kaliko ( RUSH )
RM x lil nas ( Soul Town road )
RM x Mandi ventrice ( FANTASTIC 4)
I suggest this song 😊 thankyou for the reaction guys next maybe check out RM - Monster lyrics ver
Jhope - Arson mv
AgustD - The Last lyrics ver
BTS - We On
BTS - We are bulletproof PT.2
BTS - Born Singer live performance with lyrics ver
😊😊😊💜💪
Suga/AgustD has rapped 117 syllables in 14 seconds.
Super reaction! This is one of my many favorite BTS songs. I'm glad they gave him the opportunity. I hope you can review We on, Lost, Rain and Jump💜
BTS are the biggest group in the world not just south Korea they are in America too bigger then any western groups 💜
Wale was hip with BTS before they blew up
FINALLLYYY!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO LOVED THE REACTION I LOVE HIPHOP LOVERRRRRRRR
Born singer for the next, please... Live perform, okayy? 😂 i love that one performance, part of PROOF live in 2022, CMIIW, i mean, everyone just sooo fine 🤩😅
And thank you 💜
They are actually the #1 artist in the world this year, Taylor Swift being #2. Last year she was #1 and they were #2 and those two have been at the top for years!!
Just for clarification the guys were born in the 90s. They debuted as BTS in 2013
Fantastic reaction - and yeah, RM did his research, for sure, because once he got into hip-hop he was obsessed with it.
Love your reactions 💜 following your journey as you go deeper into their discography you will be amazed to what this young men have accomplished 😊
I discovered you all today. You came up in my algorithm. NIIICE! I have been watching all of your BTS reactions in succession...hours. I am glad you gave BTS a chance and were openminded! Thank your sister for us. From ARMY to ARMY fam - FIGHTING💜
Gracias por su reacción chicos, la hacen con respeto y sobre todo se ve que tienen mucho conocimiento en la música, espero a nuevas reaaciones a BTS, nueva suscriptora 💜
Bts are not new to hiphop they did not do research...they are students of hiphoo since there 10_13 years old ...as suga said "I'm born a rapper"
In the beginning, RM and Suga would make playlists for the members to learn more about hip hop and other genres.
Fun fact: Hybe adopted this as an idol training tool for other groups.
I love your genuine reactions towards BTS..You’re one of the only 2 reactors that I follow on Patreon. Always waiting for your videos.. All of BTS’s videos are worth watching and reacting! Thank you and Goodluck! Borahae💜
I would recommend watching a live performance of music you react to if you can because it usually has a different vibe and the members can really show off their performing skills. They have lots of energy even after singing and dancing for multiple songs.
you would love their live performance, especially their rap pieces. You might want to watch JHope at Lalapallloza, RM's intinmate solo concert, and Suga's solo concett. Watch also Tony Montana Live performance of Suga ft hos co-member Jimin.
there is a song comeback home. its by seji and boys. its one of first k hip hop songs and bts did a cover for it too. u can watch bts comeback home.
YEEEEEEESSSS Suga is my fav too!!!!

I F**KIN LOVE THIS SONG! The beat rocks!
Suga is my fave hahaha
THANK YOU FOR THIS REACTIONNN
you guys should react to BTS 2nd grade lyrics and the live!
2nd grade is rarely suggested and such a good song esp live! I'm glad u did it! I hope they'll react to it 🤞
RM has so many fire collabs🔥💙
I’m more of a R&B girl than straight hip hop but as a Malaysian teen in the 90s it was definitely possible to find out about genre artists if you knew where to look. Certain magazines, certain music reviewers, a certain late night radio show, that sort of thing. Later on we also started to get MTV and that made it a lot easier bc it was very American-oriented. Our top 40 usually reflected what was a hit in the US and UK too. That’s how I grew up in Malaysia in the 90s and was listening to Babyface, En Vogue, Blackstreet, TLC, Aaliyah and all of that
But it goes even further back, like my dad was listening to things like Pink floyd, Eric Clapton, BB King when he was younger. Western music has been a part of our culture for a long long time
Thanks for reacting 💜💜💜💜 Plz do more bts reaction on other members too 💜💜💜💜💜
jhope lets go
You should see they perform it live.
JHope!!!!!!! He’s who first caught my attention to. Always moving, always dancing. 💜
I lived in Japan for 6 years and believe me everything we listen to here in the U.S.A. they do too!
