  • I was diagnosed with psoriasis as a child but when I reached adulthood it really started to have a big impact in my life. I eventually started experimenting with different diets and lifestyle factors in an effort to manage my condition. In this video I am talking all about the different things I tried and what has eventually worked and finally the effect longterm topical steroid use had on my skin, including perifacial dermatitis. I hope this helps anyone out there also struggling with an autoimmune disease, chronic illness or a skin condition xx

I just want to tell you about my son who suffered from psoriasis too. After a long, long time he finally found out t what was the trigger for him to have the flares of psoriasis. It was the flour/gluten found in almost everything like breads, noodles, pastries, cakes and much more to mention. But when he finally realize that every time he ate anything with wheat flour he will have the psoriasis. He stop eating anything with wealth and start checking labels to see if there was anything of wheat in the ingredients. He change his diet , eating healthy , reducing sugar to almost nothing he is finally free of the psoriasis, already more than 4 years. For him eating cheeses or cream doesn't affect him, but everybody is different, so I just thought to mention this to you and maybe if you cut eating flour (wheat) product yo can have a great relieve of the psoriasis. Best of luck beautiful girl.

Hi! I've had psoriasis for about 12 years now (since 2009) and my psoriasis is covering rougly 30% of my body. I recently discovered that I have "leaky gut syndrome", which seems to be very common for people with certain autoimmune diseases, like psoriasis, but also Crohn's disease and Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Through youtube I found someone that suggested using L-Glutamine to repair "leaky gut", since trying out L-Glutamine my psoriasis has gotten A LOT better, some of my largest areas are almost completely gone and I've noticed several other positive effects of L-Glutamine too, like stress- and anxiety recovery being much faster. In addition to that I've cut out dairy- and gluten products and I have never been more hopeful than I am today! Take care of your gut everyone!

My story is very similar to hers, one thing she didn’t mention is psoriasis flares up during seasonal climate changes, I live in Canada where we get 4 seasons and only 3 months of summer. What has improved my psoriasis is, eliminating gluten, sugar, alcohol, and dairy. Sleeping 7-8 hrs a night. Not staying up too late. Limit the stress in your life and the best thing for psoriasis is sunlight and vitamin D. I take up to 30-40 thousand vitamin D a day in the colder months and I make sure to get sun in the summer. Drink lots of water. Great video! You looks amazing and so healthy.

Although a growing body of literature has indicated high prevalence of anxiety in patients with psoriasis, it is unclear if the incidence of anxiety is correlated with severity of psoriasis. For everyone reading this.
1.L- glutamine is easy to get and harmless. Just look up the nearest health shop in your neighbourhood.
      2. The best thing batteling psoriasis is lowering inflimation. This means following a KETO or even better a Carnivore dieet.
      3. Sunlight. Really powerfull. It is not what you think. Sunlight creates hormones in your body that helps your body cleanse itself (its not from the outside in😄)
      4. You can include a low histamine dieet if you need to. I need to.
      5. Stay positive! No really! One of the worst things you can do is get stressed. Stress creates high cortisol levels. This makes it near impossible for your body to lower inflimation. Yes, high stress = high corrisol = inflimation.
      6. No coffee and dark chocolate and stuff like that. It creates high levels of cortisol.
      7. Let me know how it is going!

I too had Enstilar but I was only prescribed it after 20 years of hand psoriasis which had been described as dermatitis, then eczema & finally psoriasis. It was only one of a few creams I used, coconut oil, Eurex to stop the itching & various emollients. I added Balmonds salvation cream at night & noticed it wasn’t so open & raw looking & started to get better. No I’m not affiliated with this expensive product but it did help. In the meantime it was if the hand psoriasis knew it’s days were numbered & jumped to my scalp, starting at the nape of the neck & slowly encircling my head. I tried Enstilar & beta cap which reduce the itching but doesn’t get rid of it. I’m just embarking on another round of treatments, self prescribed, of hemp oil (not the cooking type) applied to the scalp & Dr Bonners baby magic soap for washing it off, ( it leaves your hair looking a bit greasy as the hemp oil residue clings to the hair), to try & lessen the aggravation. It’s early days to tell you if it worked or not. I also take supplements of Vitamin D & K & C. Omega 3 & Cod liver oil, magnesium glycerinate, potassium , zinc & B12. All good to take anyway not just because of the psoriasis. It will be interesting to see if it helps the psoriasis.

I have always refused all prescriptions since I know it's actually an internal problem and all these meds seem to be more harm than good. Proper healing usually comes from within - especially when it comes to auto immune illnesses. Cutting sugar and excessive carbs, milk in all forms and gluten has been a life saver. The only way to cure autoimmune disorders naturally proven by online testimonials (Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Mikhaila Peterson, Dr Eric Berg, KenDBerryMD)
To cure autoimmune disorders you need to eliminate all inflammatory foods from your diet. That includes processed food, gluten (white bread, pasta, white rice, ...), night shades (potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, ...)
Most of these foods are carbs so you will either need to choose between a Keto diet or a carnivore diet to prevent inflammation coming from the food you eat.
While being on a Keto or carnivore diet you should combine it with intermittent fasting a 16:8 is recommended, intermittent fasting reduces inflammation in the body, boosts HGH, detoxes and nourishes the body, low insulin levels and you will have it easier to prevent yourself from eating the carbs that cause inflammation in the body.
When your fast is completed you should consume bile salts (TUDCA) or turmeric to modulate the TH-17 in the body (3-4x) . People with autoimmune disorders have a T-Cell dysfunction that causes the autoimmunity and causes more inflammation in the body than usual. After taking TUDCA or turmeric, supplementing with high doses of vitamin D will suppress the TH-17. Articles recommend not to supplement with too high of a dosage but 1000-2000 IU 1-2/ week did not increase vitamin D but only after 4 months it did. When dealing with autoimmunity the body needs doses of even more than 40000 IU to be able to suppress TH-17 in the body. Do not be afraid, you can only have complications in the body if you take more than 200000 IU everyday for months. An omega 3 deficiency can cause dry scaly skin, so supplement those as well or eat fish every day.
      TUDCA 2. Vitamin D (40000 IU) 3. Omega 3
People have tried this and after 3 months 80% of their psoriasis faded away. It is the only natural remedy that actually works. Prevent using any other thing to treat this condition, it will only work temporarily and will not cure what’s wrong inside of the body.

First time I leave a comment on UA-cam. Thank you. You are an inspiring individual. I have moderate psoriasis (legs and small patches on elbows). I tried many things. UVB works great for me. The effect last at least roughly 9 months but I know that diet is the key. I went on a ayurvedic retreat for 10 days. The improvements were huge, only after 10 days. However, I stopped doing it when I left the retreat as it was too demanding for me at the time. But I very recently discovered Dr Pagano's diet (which is virtually the same as ayurvedic diet) and even if the UVB B works great, I am determined of doing it right and changing radically my diet (no caffeine, no gluten, no dairy, no nightshades, no alcohol, no tobacco, TONS of vegetables, no red meat, loads of waters and herbals teas...). I already have a fairly healthy lifestyle but this is the next level. On top of that, I meditate, which is great to manage stress.

Lucy, this video was absolutely amazing. One of the best contents on psoriasis that I've ever seen. It's often super frustrating to experience the issues that you've covered here, especially, I guess, a kind of negligence of doctors, meaning that we really need to be ahead of the whole treatment process. So sharing your trajectory is super valuable for people who also struggle to identify some commonalities (that often, as you said, we feel we experience alone) and improve the treatment strategt with a more comprehensive assessment on risks and potential benefits. Plus, your energy is super inspiring. Thanks for the video ;)

I agree. It's important to see stories like this. The research shows there are 8 triggers for psoriasis: alcohol, smoking, inflammatory diet, stress, fatty liver disease and excess weight and viral activity. I spent 11 years trying to figure out how to clear/cure/get rid of my psoriasis. Not knowing what the research says on how to effectively treat psoriasis naturally. So I made a video called "How to treat psoriasis according to science - How I cleared my psoriasis". You can click on "align and inspire" (my channel name) to see it. Thanks for sharing your story. Mine is very similar. Diagnosed 10 years ago and also experimented with various things. I made the steroid cream connection a few years ago when I noticed the worst flare ups would come after periods of not using steroid cream and then using it again. At one point my experimenting with diet was so extreme I had cut out all forms of gluten, sugar (including sugars from fruit) and dairy - all at the same time. Looking back on it, it was actually irresponsible because I wasn’t making sure to get enough calories and I lost so much weight that people thought I was dying. Through all my experimentation the one thing I never gave up was caffeine, mainly because I couldn’t imagine not having it in my life. When all else seemed to fail I made the choice (reluctantly) to replace coffee with green tea and that’s when the psoriasis went into remission. After 10 years of daily flare ups, it completely went away and I haven’t had a single spot on my body since. It’s been a few years. I still wake up every morning and look my body over in the mirror, fearing it will be back. I think you’re completely right about staying hydrated and controlling stress. I still really miss coffee.

The flare ups after using the steroid creams could have been TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawl). It causes crazy bad inflammation when you stop using them, because your skin gets used to the drug being there, and it compensates for it. It's also why you need to keep using more and more to keep it's effectiveness. I was on Tacrolimus ointment for years, and I noticed it stopped being as effective, so I decided to stop. My skin turned into zombie skin in the places where I was putting the tacrolimus. It was swollen, red, pussy, scabby, and bumpy, It was like an open wound, and left permanent damage. I thought I had some other disease, I didn't really know what was going on. I'll never use those medications again.

This is so helpful! Thank you for sharing your journey. My husband has severe psoriasis and we’ve been down the route of one steroid cream after the next, injections, immunosuppressant tablets...etc and it’s just been getting worse. I am actually a med student but I also firmly believe in holistic medicine so we will start changing his diet from tomorrow. I’m so frustrated with how dismissive the older generation of doctors can be and how the mainstream treatment of psoriasis is skin based even though it is an autoimmune disorder. Hopefully by taking the holistic route, we can improve my husbands condition.

Diet is the biggest way to fight it. Your husband should cut out fizzy drinks, dairy, red meat, nightshade vegetables, offal, raw fish, sugar, processed food. Minimise alcohol intake and totally avoid smoking. Drink lots of water. Eat fish, green vegetables and carrots, chicken, rice. Exercise and regular sleep help too. And minimise stress where realistically possible.

Doctors only care about masking the symptoms via drugs. They don’t give a crap about fixing your actual problem, especially if its through holistic methods. My dermatoligst misdiagnosed my acne rosacea as acne, gave me antibiotics, and now my gut is fucking ruined and i get red flushes and oily skin so easily.

You are amazing and I pray an MP out there woukd look into health services and argue (lay the evidence) of comparing everyone's wellbeing of cure vs treatment. I remember speaking to a junior dermatologist 10 years ago. She said she would never offer a diet/holistic option as a means of treatment because well it impacted her job with less patients. In the West dermatologists start avereage £50k a yeat. They won't cure you sorry that's the truth, cos money is the real goal. Blessings upon you and to our psoriasis family.

I have been experiencing my first psoriasis flare up since last October. I tried a few creams, changing diet, getting more sun, and it was still taking months to see a slight change. Then, about a month ago, a friend sprayed some perfume next to me and it caused the flare up to worsen. It covers my hands, arms, torso, legs, and forehead. It has been incredibly difficult to stay positive and not let it absolutely ruin any fiber of confidence that I have left. I appreciate your video and it's given me a lot to think about. It's a psychological battle as much as a physical one, and the psoriasis community has been so supportive. There's power in that.

I developed psoriasis at the age of seven: I am now seventy three. When at university in my twenties I was given methotrexate injections which made me feel ill but checked the spread. Gradually my skin improved but not completely. I have only sparingly used steroid cream which brought relief to the worst patches. As I have aged the psoriasis has faded & now that I am retired & less stressed I am almost clear. I keep fit & maintain a healthy diet of fresh food - no processed rubbish. Sunlight certainly helps too together with yoga which boosts my mood.

It has become apparent to me that minerals are the building blocks of our bodies and without them, healing is nearly impossible. I am currently undergoing a re-mineralizing program that is proving to be critical for the remission of my own psoriasis. I just want to say don't stop researching, don't think your body can't heal itself. It just takes time and the will to look beyond the lies we are told. I have a feeling that not only does a damaged gut microbiome plays a role in skin / auto immune diseases but also candida overgrowth AND leaky gut.
I was a cross country truck driver (USA) for 3 years and I would eat the trashiest of foods. Basically truck stop foods, no exercise, I'd just sit for hours upon hours, and lack of hygiene. Sometimes, i'd go almost a week without showering and sleep in my own sweat. God.. just typing this makes me cringe so hard at my stupidity.
Also, around this time my parents were in a lengthy divorce process which I was in the middle of. I was very stressed, filled with anxiety, and fear.
Prior to becoming a truck driver, I spent a year away from home for college. I didn't know how to cook so my breakfast, lunch, and dinner was literally bag loads of junk food and soda. I feel like this is what really sparked the whole thing and the trucking made it 10x worse. I had absolutely zero skin problems before all this.
One of the symptoms (of many others) i've suffered from were multiple fungal infections all over my body. I've learned to kill individual fungal infections throughout these years by vigorously rubbing them with apple cider vinegar and/or peroxide.. which worked but it was a time consuming and painful process, but i got to understand the process very well and knew what to expect.
However, around the end of my trucking years, I noticed a thick plaque on the inside of my left elbow crease. I thought it was another fungal infection and tried treating it with what i'd normally use. But that thing wouldn't budge no matter how vigorous I rubbed it. Wouldn't respond .. in fact, it became aggravated from all the rubbing.
After I quit trucking, I spent hours glued to my laptop researching what it was and how to treat it naturally. Eventually I got rid of all the other fungal infections except that plaque thingy.
I would visually cross examine similar skin conditions by comparing them on Google images.
For a while, I thought it was an eczema patch but it looked more like an actual psoriasis plaque. I know I'm not supposed to self diagnose but .. I just like doing things on my own.
Anyway, it would aggravate whenever I would sweat.
I remember going hiking with a friend on a hot day and that thing got so red, itchy, and irritated ... it was awful!. I did not enjoy my hike :(
I've also noticed that it would aggravate when I ate high sugar foods AND caffeine.
During my research, I came to the personal conclusion that it was related to candida overgrowth, a damaged gut lining, and a disrupted gut microbiome al as a result from my terrible decisions.
I've went to extreme lengths to remedy this naturally.
I fasted for a week, drank a ton of organic apple cider vinegar, anti-candida supplements, and followed with a strict anti-candida diet for almost a year.
Wasn't around like the 2nd month of following this protocol that i've noticed improvements on this plaque.
But I what I really felt that helped was reducing stress. I quit working for 6 months. Drinking tons of apple cider vinegar in the morning and night. High doses of vitamin D3. High doses of wild oil of oregano, L Glutamine, bone broth soup, cutting out all sugar, processed foods and refined carbs.
I've also switched my shower soap to a natural soap bar made with kaolin clay, Dead Sea Salt Minerals and Mud. Surprisingly, even though Vaseline is frowned upon in the natural community, I felt like it helped immensely .. even for my skin that wasn't affected.
    Results:
The plaque thing is completely gone.
Few things to note: It did return in a couple occasions when stress was elevated, I abandoned all healthy eating habits and supplements, and went on a junk food spree.
Happened like 3 or 4x. But when it did, I went back to the protocol and within 2-3 weeks, plaque was gone again, which just confirms for me there is a not only a gut microbiome dysbiosis issue but also a candida and leaky gut component to it as well.

I've had psoriasis all of my life. I learned early on that Vaseline eased the cracking and kept the piling up of the skin under control, not getting rid of it, but helps with relief- so I've always used Vaseline. I use it to remove my makeup too and don't put a lot of chemicals on my skin. I'm newly trying to change my diet and figure out if I can get it to go away because I've never NOT had patches on my skin. I've always covered up and just thought this was life. Videos like this make me hopeful. I'm already a vegan (for spiritual reasons) but I'm gonna cut out gluten and sugar now an start experimenting. Thank you! ❤

Since psoriasis is an immune derailment issue the key to manage it is to eliminate triggers and then taking immune modulating or regulating supplements or activity.
    Triggers to avoid:
    Stress
    Sugar
    Peamuts
    Gluten
    Milk
    Late meals
    Black mold
    Cold and damp environments
    Immune modulating/regulation:
Vitamin D (10,000 iu and above)
    Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
    Red meat (particularly organ meats)
    Vitamin B12
    Vitamin C

Thank you. Was diagnosed with psoriasis when I had a flare up at 13 years old. It’s been a lifetime of dealing with a disease that really does make you feel isolated and hopeless. The taboo tanning beds kept it at bay for decades. Over the last 10 years there have been no tanning beds and it sadly worsened but had to accept the trade off to be healthy. I am only now learning how eliminating certain foods may help and so surprised that not one dermatologist through the years ever mentioned this.

Hi Lucy, thanks for sharing this video on psoriasis; I had seen a video of a chap who had psoriasis on his back and he mentioned two things that made him clear of it in 3 months. At that time I had been using steroid creams for the past 3 years on my psoriasis. My psoriasis was on my hands and on my face. This chap mentioned two things (1) Probiotics (2) vegetable diet but mainly greens. I tried this myself; stopped all the creams and steroids and started eating boiled lettuce, peas and long beans with my meals at least 6 times a week. I cut down on red meat, and had chicken or fish and tuna. I used the simple probiotics as in "Actimel" and had that three times a week and all my psoriasis cleared.... but completely cleared. One thing that also effected my psoriasis is work stress. I tried to minimize on this too and in less than 3 months all my psoriasis cleared. So (1) stress - control it as much as possible (2) probiotics but not much (3) vegetable diet mainly greens. Hence confirming your conclusions to the letter. Thanks again for sharing.

This is so relatable. I made below changes and my psoriasis improved 90%. The other 10% happens only bcz of external factors like outdoor environment or when i'm out in remote areas and unable to follow below points.
    - Quite dairy. It's for baby cow and not for humans. That's the milk cow produce for its baby and we as humans don't need that cow hormonal milk. Quiting it will also improve pcos. I know since I had that too. Choose coconut milk and plant based products. There are so many gud dairy substitutes out there keep trying out and you will eventually find the ones that satisfies your palette too.
    - yes steroids are not solution and will eventually make sitiation worse. I'm on no steroids at all with these lifestyle changes.
    - you need to keep your gut healthy. So no caffeine. It disturbs the gut's natural function. Eating meals on time ks crucial. Also, you may feel like your gut is healthy but sister it's not. Make these changes and you will realise that earlier you never noticed it bcz you were "used" to an unhealthy gut.
    - Mindful Meditation to reduce stress as it plays a role in flaring up psoriasis. It's impossible to avoid stressful situations obviously. Life is not perfect. But 10-20 min of early morning mindful meditation can help u keep urslf calm throughout the day.
    - Excercise after meditation. It helps bring hormonal balance. And don't forget to take shower immediately afterwards. I noticed sweating makes my psoriasis worse.
    - Quit using nailpolish. Yep i was surprised that it made my psoriasis worse.
    - Try wear clothes which is made of cotton and are breathable.
I understand these changes are challenging. But it will be a challenge for a year or two and then lifetime of happiness. ❤️

My psoriasis has nearly cleared for the first time in over thirty years. Significant changes potentially leading to this: keto/low-carb diet & intermittent fasting, replacing soda with flavored carbonated water, replacing beer with gin/vodka & carbonated water, supplementing with vitamins A, D3, K2, cod liver oil. I also eat a lot of eggs, salmon & kippers. I also take B complex (B-50) and nutritional yeast. These changes helped me lose 25lbs in about 3 months, lowering my BMI to just over 25 -- I am now just 4 lbs overweight. By continuing to avoid refined sugar, I've had no trouble keeping that weight off for about five months now.
While I'm confident that many/all of the above changes led to health improvements, my hunch is that improving vitamin D status helped most with my psoriasis, by bolstering my immune system and reducing inflammation. There are likely related facets, such as insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver & leaky gut, all of which improved considerably after I abandoned the Standard American Diet and begun shunning highly-processed foods in favor of whole, organic & non-GMO foods.

This video is so great. Amazing to know other people have the same experience and thoughts related to their psoriasis. Stress and Dairy are my biggest triggers too. I believe my psoriasis was initially triggered from a major family stressor. I developed it a week after that event. But I realized just how much stress effects it when I moved from my home town to a new town and province. I’d been having big personal struggles with my family. And I grew up thinking that it was my job to keep everyone around me safe and happy no matter what. So once I got distance from the pressures on me(family and other things I won’t get into) my psoriasis went from the worst it had ever been to an amount I could live with without too much discomfort. I have it on my scalp and one ear canal. Unfortunately I have a bad habit of picking so I make it worse from picking.I also decided to try a vegan diet after I moved and was biking and rock climbing in the sun a lot that year. Within 5 months my psoriasis was completely cleared up.
I’ve since started eating dairy and meat again and just living with the consequence.
I don’t use any medication anymore. Was given steroid creams when diagnosed and also noticed flare ups any time I stopped using it. Later learned that your body can have withdrawal after stopping steroid meds. My biggest reason for stopping meds though is because steroid medications make me menstruate the entire time the med is in my body. Clued into this after noticing a pattern of prolonged periods anytime I’d taken steroid meds. Twice I had to use eye drops for 30 days and bled the whole time 😒 it’s apparently vary rare but can be a side effect for some people that have periods. And since steroids are the go to treatment for most doctors iv just given up.

@Pass the Peas I'm sorry you are going through this rough time with your skin. I can empathize with your situation-my psoriasis has flared up badly after completing a round of topical steroids and I am devastated. Going to have to look at what I can do internally to heal this. Praying you find success on your journey.

It's about quality of life, Psoriasis is miserable. If biologics make every day life tolerable, even with the side effects/concerns which aren't guaranteed, it's worth the risk - but as with all things, personal decision. If Otezla stops working for me, biologics are my next step. I've tried diets and every cream on the planet. Eradicating stress is a given and well known for years, but obviously not always avoidable. Regardless, great to hear you're doing much better.

I experienced the same, having moved from a tropical Asian country. Was only ever limited to my scalp, but it's spread to all parts of my body since moving to Sydney. Whether it's the Western diet, water, drier air, work stress or all of it etc. I don't know yet, but every time I go back to my home country it gradually clears up. I have an inflammatory condition that causes scar tissue to build up in my airway. I’ve been dealing with it for over a decade. Your video reminded me of a better time where I feel like it was under control. I was plant based at that time. I’m slowly trying to go back to plant based, but it’s been incredibly difficult. Maybe there is a happy medium somewhere in between. I emphasize with the frustration with doctors not being helpful. Yes, I need to lose weight. Repeatedly telling me that without giving me any support does nothing. Lucy, are you going to be coming out with an eating guide or a meal planning guide? I’m not Lucy, but I have struggled with psoriasis and the inability to go plant based much like you. I have cooked in vegetarian restaurants but had difficulty making the leap to vegan. Last year I made the commitment to give up eggs and dairy. Have since found wonderful recipes on Rainbow Plant Life and Cheap Lazy Vegan. Be aware that their focus is vegan, not strictly PBWF, but still an inspiring jumping off point. I’m still not perfectly vegan but I’m comfortable with where I’m at (I have a weakness for a commercial Caesar salad dressing). I’m guess I’m trying to say do your best but forgive yourself. I definitely am having my ups and downs. Overall, the process has caused me to lose weight but I still have a ways to go. However, the journey is the point, and because you’re trying to be a better you then, by definition, you are a better you. I wish you great luck (can’t have too much of that), and the knowledge that you’re already and inspiration to others.

I suffered with severe psriosis from when I was 15 . My trigger was my grandad passing away . My whole body was covered. When I was 18 I had my tonsils removed.... and within a matter of weeks my psriosis had cleared up 80% ! Amazing . It would only flare up now and again when I was feeling abit stressed . I drink aloe Vera, I work out , very rarely drink alcohol and like to think I look after my body ....I am now 33 ! Covid hit .... and my psriosis came back with a vengeance! I suffer all over my body but mainly on my legs. My right leg being the worst. I was to prescribed dovabet the same as you but I try to only use that once or twice a week when it gets unbearable. I like to use coconut oil when I get out of the shower but like you , nothing seems to help . Amazing information. I too had Psoriasis at the age of 5-6 years old. I had it all over my body. I was told that my body needed more sun. So I exposed my body to the sun and it eventually went away after some time . Fast forward 20 years and my Psoriasis started to make a comeback on my scalp. No sun, medicine or steroid cream, let alone advice from the doctor helped. I was embarrassed and refused to go out unless I wore a hat.
I started to look into alternative solutions. I quit drinking, smoking...and although it helped, It still hung around. Next I found some helpful info on the net that recommended trying to change diet and cut out stuff like wheat, gluten, dairy and processed foods. No deep fried stuff, and stay away from sugar.
With that little experiment, my Psoriasis cleared up on my scalp completely I was amazed.
If I eat cheese, too much sugar, bread or was not in a good mind set and really stressed I have flair ups.
I tried drinking some some sugar free alcohol, also a tea spoon of raw sugar for a coffee with normal milk, and it seemed to be fine.
Everyone is different and I think you just have to find the balance that suits you. Good luck everyone!

I am 29 and have had moderate scalp psoriasis since I was about 15-16. Here in the US, healthcare is so ridiculous and expensive, there is no way I can afford to even see the amount of GPs or dermatologists you've seen, so I've suffered through the dry, flaky, itchiness. Tried all the tar and other topical remedies with little to no results. I KNOW diet plays a huge part in AI flare ups and dairy is currently a large part of my diet (milk, yogurt, cheese!!). I need to be more productive in taking care of ME, and if trying elimination diets would help, I should give it a try. Probably starting with dairy...lol Just thinking out loud, here!
