at 5:46 you ctrl+shift clicked the node to preview it, which I'm assuming is with the Node Wrangler addon enabled. Whenever I try to do that nothing happens. Is there something I'm missing that allows me to use that node-wrangler feature within Octane's shader editor?
You have to install the addon for that. Here is the updated link. When activating the addon you have to disable the default blender node wranggler an activate the Octane node wrangler. If you are going to use eevee or cycles, do the oposite. github.com/AiSatan/node_wrangler_octane/releases/tag/1.5.0
You are wellcome :) the truth is that i have used both and i think the dirt node responds better when you turn on "invert normals", here i left a tutorial ua-cam.com/video/iwUFYmmFCuI/v-deo.html

@@EgoMotionCG Oh wow, I didn't know there was a separate node wrangler for octane. That's awesome, thank you so much for the link and info!

Thanks, man!
How does this compare to Curvature node? Is one an improvement of the other or they serve different functions?

@@EgoMotionCG Awesome. I'll check it out.
Never used Octane, but Fluent Materialiser does a very similar job 👍
