Such an amazing album. It absolutely blew my mind back in 2000, and is still one of my favourite of all time. 17 years of rumours they were releasing a second album and when eventually Wildflower came out I can't believe how good that second album was. Very rarely 2nd albums live up to the hype, especially with the huge wait, but it was way better than I ever could have expected.
@@HarryRedmond45 it took me a little longer to get into than the first 2, but after quite a few listens I'm now really appreciating what a great record it is.
I actually LOVE the third! Love the hip hop / disco combination. Second album was just okay for me. Got my tix to see them Feb 2022 here in Denver. Anyone else seeing them live?
This is hands down one of the best gems I've ever found on youtube. Thanks so much. So interesting to see what sampling was like back then and we couldn't have a more perfect example. As I side note I was born in Melbourne in the nineties and seeing those green / silver trains gave me mad flashbacks to my childhood.
I'll be honest with you, I only heard of them a few years back. They sampled Michael Jackson and after that jam I was really in love with their sound. They have a good mix of both tech and live instrumentation, which I really admire. I'd like to put them up with artists like Massive Attack, which I also really love.
That extra element to the track at the 11:00 mark is so amazing! I so hope that we hear this in a new, more finished mix (as intended with more cleared samples) of the original album at some point.
Where are these guys now? I'd love to see an interviewr or footage of them. They were kids at the time. And after I typed this....I found an interview with them in June 2021. Awesome!

So much craft went into this back in the day, must of been so labouring. Having that many members all working together in the same direction collecting and finding records, putting it through those crappy computers, getting the samples cleared, mixing, releasing and performing all the material. I don't think all of them were cleared especially the more obscure ones, but the majority of them were. And yeah that's part of the reason they take forever to put out a record
