Sam is confusing and conflating Panther Productions with World Martial Arts and a certain CACC "Hooker" and his Goofy video series LOL
Panther had plenty of goofy shit as well like the mentioned Kimo videos but the CACC one Sam is thinking of was from World Martial Arts
I know because ive seen it LOL

@@thesonnybrownbreakdown I like your channel. But catch is garbage. It has no use in either mma or no-gi grappling. If anything Sakuraba owns more of his succes to freestyle wrestling than catch, and yes even his famous kimura. As for MMA has benefited from ground crontrol wrestling, so folkstyle. The rules of catch penalize control in favour of dumb submissions. And bjj is no longer stuck in the gracie era. The only place catch is popular or works is in the internet. And the few catch practicioners are delusional and rude. If only they could back their words with deeds. A perfect example ua-cam.com/video/UgtCHMhIo6M/v-deo.html

@@markcorrigan3930 I feel like you chose the wrong video to make this comment on, though, Sam is not delusional or rude, he is one of the nicest guys I have spoken to.

@@markcorrigan3930Probably where it certainly works, war, stuff any weapons in their hands, on that video you sent, and that Curran Jacobs with the poor attitude,, is at a severe advantage You talk of rules but when the rules go out of the window the dominant position is coming off best. Another reason, apart from the fact that if shit hits the fan, ( war scenarios /severe civil unrest ,where wrestling will always serve you better than BJJ ) it's is the social cultural aspect.
In a world of globalism, great changes, immigration, western people be they from North America or the British Isles , are in search for cultural ROOTS, so something from Japan, ran through the Brazilian mill, just doesn't fit the zeitgeist, there's a desire to preserve, and reconnect, save things to do with our roots ,which get's stronger as the changes increase, so you've got to look at the social aspect. I'm sure these bad attitudes you see around catch stuff, will disappear as it's becomes more preserved over the decades. Maybe they are growing pains, a sort of adolescence.
