    The color chrome glasses truly are amazing for a large percentage of color blind people. I used to be an optometrist assistant and it really does get people emotional to experience it. Then it gets us all emotional and then the whole office is emotional and we're all emotional about being emotional! It never ends.

    Since you bought the stuff legally, logically it should help you identify, at a glance, those items that are of particular worth? Depends how accurate the previous owners appraisals were. Hope this helps. Enjoying you videos!

    May I suggest you hold the items more in the center of the camera lens? Also, the "Bad Girls of the Bible" is an awesome study! Liz Curtis Higgs is very knowledgeable! We have used her books for our Bible study!

    Any of the books first editions? Keep the boxes with the Avon products. And the Singer attachment is a buttonHOLER not a buttonHOLDER. It makes button holes on your fabric. On mine you put the button on it and it measures the button and makes the button hole to fit it.

    Decorative patterned glass can be pressed, cut or etched. The design edges are sharp on cut glass, smoother on pressed glass and etched glass looks cloudy.

    The ‘sandvan’ isn’t a tin toy. Tin type toys are made of thin tin metal and are not sturdy like Tonka trucks and ones like that. Tin toys are many times very very old whereas the tonka trucks and ones like them are from the 70’s forward.

    Hey there. There is three basic forms of glassware. Blown glass is not a class unto itself. Because most glassware starts as blown glass. There is cut, etched and pressed. Pressed is the easiest to tell. There will be a line in the glass where it was formed in a mold, and the line is where the 2halves meet. Plus the edges are not sharp as in cut glass or etched. Cut glass has the usually the diamond pattern in some form on it. It is 'cut' because the glass is actually cut in the patterns. Etched glass is etched by a cutting wheel and is similar to pencil sketches in the same effect. I have heard of some people trying a type of sand blasting to etch.

      @@WhatTheHales Hi Jeremy and his better half George. You being in Ohio, you might run across a lot of Fostoria glass. They once had a plant there. There are lots of examples online of it. As for Depression Glass, there is a good written piece at thesprucecrafts.com to read. One type of glassware to keep an eye out for is carnival glass. It has several colors and is iridescent. Very collectible too.

    anything that is blues greens reds glass is called cobalt. not depression glass. a lot of that may not be old. you can still buy cobalt glass.

    Some of the depression glass are considered collectible and worth a few hundred dollars. If you do your research.

    POGS oh lord how my kids loved them... doesnt look like you have all of that set... Those blue bowls were pretty sweet... dont look like cut crystal pieces but still nice... Cool stuff... A question on the sword is the tip actually damaged or made that way?? We know that Jeremy is a little damaged but hey aren't we all...

    The amber glass is NOT depression glass...Most depression glass is like a pale pink or a green color...Amber glass was very popular in the 50's...

      @@WhatTheHales Yes it is..A very popular color glass through out the ages...Design of the item or markings if they have one can tell you if they are vintage or not...And those designs on the glass platter are called cut glass not etched..It like diamond cut patterns meant to add elegance..They are fairly heavy... And quite common.even today..Etched glass is like pictures or designs that are etched or starched into the surface of the glass piece ...

    Thinking those locking crocks probably held a cheese spread. Besides cash, you might find savings bonds, stock certs in those books. Good luck!

      Also, try isotoner spandex driving gloves. They’re way “workable” and not bulky when you stuff em in your pockets.

    26:45 The Singer Buttonholers (or any older sewing machine attachments will bring in some decent money. Post them on eBay along with the part number. Also, never throw away wooden thread spools. They are all antique and collectable.

    Love y'all videos wish me and the wife could do that but we can't money is tighter than heck around here but anyways since y'all are in Ohio there's a storage facility in Lima Ohio that does Online Auctions I think it's called self storage or something like that I can't remember the address offhand but if y'all look it up online but now I remember the storage units place name it's called global storage unit they do online auctions if y'all's interested feel free with the friendly advice
