This video is literally older than dirt, but has aged gracefully, much like the All New In 2012 Dodge Charger!
Congrats on One Billion Views Steve! You earned it man!
🏆
I think you meant 1 million daddy NoPie
kinda like the looks of this charger better than the new one.
Me too, this one is just so badass looking.
The new ones look like big dodge darts
Which is why I bought a 12’ instead of 15’
I do too
Same, the older ones look more terrifying
17 mpg for 6.4 Hemi is really awesome!!! I want one now!!
Got one. Fucking brilliant!
selerim how many l/100km is it? we have different prices of gas here
selerim
I get 25 mpg on the highway averaging 75 mph.
how much on average do spend on gas for your charger? I got a 2008 v6 but some day plan on getting an srt8 from 2012-14
lol i drive a V6 and I make 15 mpg city
“THIS REDNECK ROCKET “
i bout spit my drink out 🤣🤣🤣
Glad this is still providing laughs a decade later 😂
My wife has a 12 charger R/T. Let me tell you this car is super fun to drive. I was going to get either a camaro, challenger or a mustang for my next toy but to tel you the truth i like the SRT8 charger the best. Its just pure pleasure to own and drive. Well done dodge.
Honestly, I still prefer this Charger compared to the 2015 version. The 2012 model has more aggressive looks.
FastCarsNoRules220 I said the exact same thing!!
this charger is the best one. the new ones 2015 look like it slept with a dodge dart and had a baby
lol sounds about right
Looool 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best looking Chargers by far !!! just absolutely mean Beast!!!11 to 14 models way better looking!
Kal- El agreed
Sweeeeeeeeet! Brings back memories of the great Charger Hemi RTs we so loved when I was a teenager. Gorgeous!
Mine is in monster grey, watching the video made me wanna grab my keys and go for a spin !!
Great review Steve! I ordered mine in red, its supposed to be here in a few weeks. Your review sold me!
Almost a million views! Such a classic Steve review!
Thanks! Wish I could bottle that up.
Hey...for a dodge this car is awesome !!! I drove the v6 and that was pretty quick. Good job Dodge !!
Great full review!!! thumbs up!
Beautiful! Very well done, Steve.
thanks for the info
I got mine last night. And I have not stopped looking at this bad ass piece of equipment.
this will be my next charger for sure 😊
I like the looks of this gen alot better than the new ones
Great review once again Steve! One question? Does the 2012 SRT-8 still has the original 5 speed or does it benefit from the upcoming 8 speed automatic ? Chrysler is planning 31mpg highway with that one. I hope they'll have it in the SE/SXT too!
Good review!!!!!and I want the superbee edition!!!!
I love owning my SRT-8, bought a 2012 srt charger 2 months ago and have loved it ever since. And it goes hard when you wanna smash your foot into the peddle.
Hi Steve, besides the improved fuel economy of 6/7/8 speed transmissions, what are their advantages compared to the SRT8's 5-speed in terms of performance?
Hey Steve, What would you recommend The Challenger SRT-8 or Charger SRT-8?
Man Steve said his name at the end as though he was proud to drive this car LOL
Just brought mine home yesterday! I can't decide which is the best feature; 470hp, adaptive cruise control, or cooled cup holders.
just got me the new 2012 CHALLENGER SRT8!!! so happy bout to race this baby
Now if you put a 3.4 race cam in the 5.7 with a hot chip it will bust the speedometer so that over 180 mph so idk how fast that is was never clocked = (
looks sick :O didnt like the previous moddels but i like this one !
it costs nearly 50 grand with all the options! what do you think Steve should i get this SRT8 or should i keep saving up to get the C63 AMG??
Mines black on black wheels....with red interior 😍
Heated and cooled cupholders!
Really dig this beast, loved the old school chargers, this model is one cool offer, well done Dodge.
Took my through the winter with no problems.
How is the gas on the Charger RT comepared to the STX? Im stuck between the two.
Great review, Steve, but why is there 30 seconds of blank screen at the end??
is it economical? because i have had charger sxt 2009 3.5L and it was not so economical but every thing else was good the air conditioning was awesome and it was so comfort and so stable in high speed
"With the stickyness of spiderman" 1:22
Do anyone know which model ride the smoothest between srt 8 or rt
@stevehammes hello man, nice video, i would like to askk you aquestion , im about to buy a srt charger but i havent test it, i had tested the camaro ss engine and its powerful, do ou know wich engine is more powerful the srt or the ss,?? thks,
Been there, done them, had loads of headaches with imports too so I went back to domestic cars and they're much cheaper to own and more comfortable.
this is easily the meanest looking car on the market today, amazing how chrysler group has leaped forward from a couple of years ago!!! i really enjoy seeing american car company`s coming back big time as i have always been a huge enthusiast of american cars :) greetings from germany, to the steve hammes team ;)
Cool! Good luck.
WOOOW ITS REALLY MAGNIFIC VERY VERY GOOD
I have 2012 R/T and it was worth the purchase!! Excellent on GAS too.
Great review. Very informative. I want it, but 50K for a vehicle that surely will not hold up its value is kind of tough. I dunno! I was going to trade my Harley Davidson F150 for it, but I don't know if that is a good idea. Any advice?
I was seriously considering buying one of these.......then I turned 15.
i took this baby for a test drive yesterday. it was the only one left at our dealership. $45k. way out of my price range. two words: dear santa :D
Agreed. I bought a 98 Plymouth Neon three years ago with 180,000 miles on it for 800 dollars. I've used it as a second car for long drives because of the MPG (well over 35 highway) and it's only needed a oil change, an air filter and some spark plugs ... other than that it drives like it's new. The insurance is almost free it's so cheap, so it's not a burden as a second car. Chrysler makes good stuff.
To this day i still want this thing
Yo Steve, nice review on a Chrysler product. How about a review on the newly revised Jeep Wrangler with the new Pentastar V6? Thanks.
Man this car is awesome!!!
Bought a brand new darango it sparked the old mopar love I had and now I just bought my son a new 2012 dodge charger SRT8 he loves it so much he started dragracing it at redline stadium he won over 245 races well that settles it we are officially a Mopar Family now thank god
Coming from a heavy Euro-fanboy, I am like in love with this car. The older one, I didn't care for at all, but this one, is just BEAST! Even comes with paddle shifters! (Kinda useless on a 5-speed IMO), GOOD JOB DODGE!
What I meant was it contains the same limited option group as the SE as in it has no sunroof, base suspension, base interior, base level 4.3 inch touch screen, base audio and speakers, non heated/cooled seats, non heated/cooled cup holders and cloth interior. The Dodge website basically lists the Super Bee as an SE with Brembo brakes and a 6.4Litre engine.
THey finally got it right and im in love with this thing its just to good no all it needs is a set of cherry bombs or borla exhaust and maybe a super charger and it wiill be pure perfection
nice car nice power nice , nice everything ,,,,,,,, they gave you everything you want in a low price car thats awesome
I never thought I'd want this, a big, heavy, American muscle car, so much. The 2011 Mustang Boss Laguna Seca has caught my eye too.
i`m not really into the g force and track timing gizmo`s , but it`s a very nice cruiser indeed.
Santo dios!!!! de donde agarraste esto!!!!! q chingoneria d carro!!!! Vean!!!!!!!!!
I rented a 2011 based model while my 04 mountaineer was in the shop and I didn't wanna take the damn thing back....and this was just the 3.6 l v6. Wow I Love the charger.
One Question. Is it expensive to repair if needed???
@KnorpelDelux Your English is really good, and what you said was grammatically more correct than a lot of people who speak English as their first language. It's pretty nice to know that other people around the world like some of the stuff made here. Hope you recover from all that beer!
this car is soo badass in black. love it. now if only it had an 8 speed....
KEY FEATURES
TRANSMISSION: Mustang has choice of 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual. Charger has only a 5 speed shiftable auto.
POWER: Mustang v6 has 190 HP, 220 Torque, while the v8 has 260 HP, 300 Torque. Charger v6 has 250 HP, 250 Torque, while the v8 has 340 HP, 390 Torque.
WEIGHT: Mustang weighs just under 3300 pounds, charger weighs just under 3800 with v6 and just under 4100 with v8.
MPG: Mustang v6 18 city/ 27 highway, v8 15/23. Charger v6 17/25, v8 14/23
Hope this has helped you some.
Wish they made v8 that go good with unleaded regular gas. Premium prices is ridiculously expensive
Anyone drive the SRT8 in the winter months? Is it doable with a good winter tire/rim set up?
love this car
very nice looking car!!
I really want this car.
One of my dream cars. I prefer the 2011-2014 models than the 2015 one. It's meaner and aggressive.
Teslaboi18 newer ones are faster due to the 8 speed auto. I wish they put at least a 6 in this one but it’s 5
@@nick__cars quicker not faster. They have the same top speed but the new one accelerates faster. But I think the older has higher top speed because it's lighter due to having 5 gears rather than 8.
Teslaboi18 ehh, it’s about 100 pound lighter and the new one will still beat it. If they have the same too end , the scatpack will hit 170-175 1st due to the 8 speed.
Its a beast. I don't like big cars but ill consider this car.
I drive a Dodge Magnum RT, with almost 260,000 miles. Lots of drag racing, nitrous injected, racing cam, etc. It's been trouble free. As a former european/japanese car owner, my Dodge has been the most reliable and most fun to drive!
did u get it?
Someone at work has this SRT-8 in dark grey.
When my car bites the dust one day, I will definitely be taking a look at the SRT line, as well as any V8 Mustangs. Ralph Gilles is definitely doing the brand a favor, long may he reign as the head of SRT.
470HP 637Torque 6.4 V8 RWD this thing is a beast !
Man if they offered this with a true manual, BEST CAR EVER
Can anyone tell me what is the advantage of a Hemi engine? Because on paper there is little to notice.
I'm thinking about buying three of these...
I’ll have mine next month !
Congrats!
Fast Five!!!! Def getting this once I graduate
I LOVE THIS CAR!
only thing it needs is a manual.
Steve Olliff Charger isn’t a drag car or track car it’s a family sedan
@@patrickgowdy7656 no reason it cant be
Why exactly when the autos are faster anyway. News flash for ya, not everyone want to be throwing stick all day. Ya want shifts u can use the paddles or the slapstick if u wanna do 40 rolls and shit with a bit more interaction. Otherwise, people know longer as a whole wanna be bothered fucking with a clutch. It is what it is, get over it.
You prob were on about chargers being 4 doors weren't ya when they came out. Prob thinkn they shouldn't have even named it a charger. Bet ur one of those guys aren't ya lol
hopefully ill be able t get one next yr
I will, thanks!
I own the 2013 Charger SRT8, and I get 0-60 in 4.5 stock. That's without the F1 tires as well, so if I had stickier tires I could drop some time off that
I'm not too worried about the MPG, my Chrysler as old as I am gets about 14 or so....this would be an improvement, even if I only used Premium.
now, does it come with a manual transmission?
@FXSwissTrader
I think when it goes to cruising speeds, the cylanders shut off for fuel efficiency. The HEMI engines have it and I believe the Cadillac Escalade has that too; it has a VORTEC V-8 engine as well.
this has AFM?
Now this is where the 6.4 Hemi come in at ! Top end at long distance the 6.4 will chew up and spit out the 5.7 at a mine blowing 180mph verses 160 mph cause of the long stork
only 17 mpg in town, well thats pretty darn good for almost 500hp! nice mopar!
Very impressive; always like SRT's!
Went to the car show today to see and sit in one of these. When I got to the Dodge section there was a beautiful white SRT-8 with red leather interior. The car is a little on the big side but looks sharp and fit and interior fit and finish is incredible. There was one flaw that would prevent me from ever buying one and that is the 3 inches of free-play in the steering wheel. Can't justify spending $52000 Cnd on a car that has sloppy loose steering and probably handles like Ricky's car from TPB
I love this car !
i see bling bling when i'm riding that thing of beauty
what about the cts-v then?
It does have an auto stick though. At least you would still have control over the gears.
I hope you got the video of the 2011 Chrysler 300 SRT8.
In my opinion, this was the best looking charger that Dodge ever made. Just look at the front end and how angry it looks
how r those rims on rough roads like in nyc
