I like how he does it. I first start by using a UFC cloth knuckle wrap. It has sloop that goes around the thumb 👍. So you start with your knuckles and end at the wrist . You top it off with what ever you feel comfortable covering your knuckles. I do as he does but it's all personal preference on how thick you want. My knuckle are like steal from many years of punching concrete walls and much more so I don't use much padding. End with tape .
