i miss all the amazing food in KL ! ate a lot of Indian food, especially dosas LOL! if you're still in KL I recommend Sri Ganesa, TG's nasi kandar and blue boy vegetarian - all super yummy
When in kampung baru, these are my regular food items: Nasi campur (mixed rice) for lunch, it means you grab a plate of rice, then you choose from the vast array of dishes to eat the white rice with - rich beef curry, savory chicken rendang, finger licking grilled fish with assam sauce, simple fried sunny side up in thick black soy sauce, various vege dishes, ulam (malay salad) with belacan dip or sambal tempoyak (fermented durian), etc. Don't be too greedy and get too many different dishes though, since there's 2 of you, each can take different dishes then share to sample them together. Avocado shake 😋😋😋 Kuih of all sorts, also the various pengat/bubur (sweet porridge as desserts) Cempedak madu goreng (fried fritters) if the cempedak madu is in season, otherwise good old yummy fried bananas or much sweeter banana cheese
The food tour guide is a Malaysian Chinese so she introduced more about Chinese cultures and foods, rather than Malay local foods which represent more than half Malaysian population. Anyway all are considered Malaysian foods as Malaysia is a diverse and multi cultural population. However most foreign tourists prefer to taste local Malay dishes which make different than other countries such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi kerabu, asam pedas, masak lemak, varieties of laksa and varieties of kuih (desserts). Even she should introduce specific Malaysian Chinese cuisines - kuey teow, hokkien mee etc or specifically Malaysian Indian - variety of rotis - roti Canai, roti tisu, etc
I’m so hungry watching this!! 😫 Egg tarts and that breakfast dish (chee cheong fun) are my favourite childhood eats 💕Loved this video! Such a fun food tour!
My staff uses the tian chung thing to give her possible lottery numbers. She wins at least one consolation prizes once every 2-3 weeks, Perhaps u should try too
20 years ago, in my hometown, there was a Malaysian restaurant that was incredible, and your video is bringing back all those memories of flavour. I love that! I need to visit Malaysia now. 😊
