@@lippalma4661 yeah mostly grown in the North and only for a few months at a time. Still not a “lemon” westerners are accustomed to. Hence you said “hybrid”……

Phuket Old Town sunday market is certainly a great place to be in. Its closed to traffic and has a fantastic array of delicious street food and performances. I was there in March 2024 and enjoyed the beaches, wonderful cuisines and all things Thai. Have fun.

Well done Adriana…I feel like it’s impossible to be strict vegetarian if you are eating street food in asia. So many things cooked in broth or mixed with meat oil, hard to tell. But when you are easy going about it like adriana, and remember you are the one making the rules about what you eat, then you don’t have to stress, + can just try your best! And enjoy!

Let me explain about Lime and Lemon in Thailand.
    Lime in Thai is “Manao”
and Lemon in Thai is “Manao Leung” (translated as Yellow Manao) or just called “Lemon” as it is
But people in Thailand are taught from school that Manao = Lemon
Most Thai people still misunderstand because they dont know the word “Lime”, they only know them as “Lemon”
