Today, I scored some fab name brand clothing from the world's largest online thrift store, thredUP. I try on some cute Spring inspired outfits and share my favorite fashion trends.
Mom and I head out for a thrift shopping trip to Habitat for Humanity ReStore and also a large Garden Center to stock up on some new plants for our gardens.

I think the bowl would be beautiful on a round mirror. I feel like you could appreciate the bottom of the bowl as well as the top edge. It is stunning! I also really love the angel plates.
What a great suggestion! I wouldn't have thought of that but it would really enhance the special texture of the bottom of the bowl.

Yup, Walmart has an area where they put reduced plants in the garden area and I grab a bunch for my flower baskets. Most of the time they just need water.
Hellebore plant are very hardy. I have had one for 40 years. When we moved from our home of 28 years, I dug it up and planted it in my garden at our new house. It’s memories plant! My kids were little when I bought it for our first house…..

We live in a 620 sq ft house, that we built 2 yrs ago, after selling a larger 3 bdrm, 2 bath home. My husband and I are in our mid 70's and decided we wanted to down size drastically. I love not spending much time cleaning, instead I get more time to spend in my garden here in our Mo. forest cabin.

We’ve always known you have a “good eye” for beautiful things Selena. And you were right about the modern white and black pottery bowl. I’m new to making pottery, and your piece was finely done by a true artist. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t done by an Oregon potter. There’s a huge artist pottery community here.
It would be a beautiful addition to your beach house. Fruit, rolled up towels, etc could go in it. Or just use as an art piece .

When you mentioned your Mom as a plant rescuer I knew for sure she's my kind of peep. I'm always nagging the sellers for the dead pile. Some will let me and some won't. I buy perrenials at the end of the season when they're 90% off.

Generally Aussie plants don’t like fertiliser they can take a very weak seaweed solution. Maybe keep it in a large pot that can be wheeled out of the snow during winter. There is only a very small area on the mainland that snows. There a various flowering eucalypts that grow in the Snowy mountains. We are noted for stating the bleedin obvious : Harbour bridge, Barrier Reef, Snowy Mountains, Sandy Desert etc 🤦♀

That planter with primrose is so pretty! Be sure and plant the primrose in your garden. I started with one plant a few years ago and now have its babies (by root dividing) around the edge of the entire garden. They are my first blossoms every spring.

Love these mother daughter shopping trips. You two togeather are so fun and joyful. I loved those angel dishes they are stunning never saw anything like them you really have a great eye. But sad to say I just didn’t like that bowl . I respect the workmanship but I hate to say but I have to I thought it was ugly. Even if it were worth a lot of money I wouldn’t want it in my home but I would definitely try to sell it. Mom your awesome! Iam so glad you asked if you could have those plants. You guys have great growing weather. I'm in NorCal and the sun usually bakes my plants. I went w/a few faux plants that look amazing. Most of the time they are asking us to cut back on watering. I've had 2 back surgeries so some of the faux is great for me anyway w/less care. You and mom are always so fun. I laugh right along w/you.

Australian mint when planting dig double the depth add a good soil mix in the bottom. It likes full sun or part shaded water twice a week, never watering from the top. It can develop powdery mildew if there’s no circulation at the base. Prune in winter early spring it can be propagated. My Nan always pick in the morning and use it in tea.

The garden: I do remember your beautiful hydrangeas last year; the blossoms were huge. Maybe you could share your nutrient secret with us😊. The cabin on the cape is just the right size for your vacation escape home. It should be easy clean up for you, in and out because it is your getaway piece of paradise on the beach.
