Pete you NEVER get tools or appliances for your wife, PSA. My hubby got me a new chop saw for Christmas but it had a ruby and diamond tennis bracelet in the box too. 📦 I love that man of mine, y'all are adorable 💕

The shade is perfect on her! It's comforting to hear you talk about a day that many of us have had that is painful physically and emotionally. The doctor could not get the surgical clip inserted. It took her four tries. But, that's in the past and we have survived!!! We are stronger and living with a joyous heart and grateful for literally everything! Watching you all these years your joy for life has never ever changed and that's why you are an angel!!!

The shade looks like those air balloons that you would see at the county fair around the 1900s. The colours are pretty.

Selena - I had a wonderful time antiquing with you two. That lampshade is perfection. I know what you mean. When I found out I needed a double mastectomy, I couldn't just go home and fall apart. It did me a world of good to go to our local flea market/ antique place to do something I enjoyed without having to immediately start processing and planning for surgery. I'm 6 years out from surgery now and still enjoy hitting my favorite flea market, especially when I get some tough news and just need a happy breather before I deal with it. Have a wonderful day. It was fun not only to see your beautiful treasures BUT to hear more of your story. I do the same thing. Sometimes wandering a store when I'm stressed soothes my heart and mind.
I'd have never expected that gold wall sculpture was valuable. I grew up looking at too many knock offs from the Green Stamp store. In my friend's houses they were usually dusty, with a few cob webbs. Can you tell that in our house I was in charge of dusting?
Uranium glass is wonderful. I think I have a set of old bubbling candles from my mom.
