This was a journey to a lush secret garden tucked away like a treasure. John’s garden areas are so serene and works of art to absorb. All the variants of greens with the blue, purples and hot pink peonies work perfectly together. I loved the different vignettes with the touches art and glazed pottery too- it gave it such a collected and loved look. Thanks for sharing and feel better John. ❤

42:11 I love, love John's yard. I like the way things are hidden like a magical garden. Makes me want to go get more plants! I have never been a blue person but in my old age I have now got John's blue thing. All over my house and am getting more blue for my yard! Never would have thought!! Lol😅 42:11

The only thing better than John Turman's garden... is John Turman! Just love his style and personality. His garden is such a tranquil sanctuary. I too, love green on green on green. Especially since I got into adding the chartreuse and silver grays. Now I need to incorporate some of the purple and wine colored shrubs. Those tall brick colored garden spires are very interesting. I wonder if it's too shady to add some solar crackle balls on top of each one. Just thinking out loud. Love his blue glazed pots , which inspired me to add some in my own garden. They just blend so beautifully with greens. Even if I never used the back table with the blue chairs... its such a beautiful visual in that little area. The walk thru the hallway to the back patio made me so excited. I knew where we would end up!!!! My favorite ever space off the living room. I would be out here every night! I love to water my garden , and find it a meditative experience. Thank you so much John!!!!!
Nature is a maximalist someone once said I love this man's work just as it is please no editing his style it's lovely flowing and beautiful.

And I couldn't help but notice how your shawl perfectly matched the red in the shutters, your jacket the color of the body of the house, your jeans John's blue collections, and your boots we're a color echo to the brick.! I discovered Linda Vater at John Turman's house on her first visit. And I've been enjoying watching Linda ever since! And always love it when John comes back! I remember that John told us in an early visit that the DOOR COLOR is Regatta by Sherwin Williams.

I turned on the closed captioning because I had a harder time hearing him.
Often, we want perfect lines, impeccably varnished, and clean-cut textures. But everything in that garden is imperfect, yet it is so cohesive and it works. To tell you the truth I think he should leave those "Will Ferrell" 😂 trees leaning. I thought it was meant to be like that. The larkspur that's gone akimbo. The China mulch. It was just gorgeous.

The continual work is evident that this man loves his gardening. I love looking at all this and can appreciate the dedication. This is something that you plan a caregiver for if you are going to be out of town, like you would a pet. Just a few days of no maintenance and this could quickly have some losses. I think it's beautiful. Great job.
