Will 2 12volt batteries wired so I only have 12volts keep more power to my unit? So late in the day there not cutting off when I start my motor?

Use one 12 volt battery for starting and a separate 12 volt battery for electronics. That way your electronics aren't draining your starting battery and your starter won't cause voltage drop on your electronics. Having two separate batteries

If you wire them and parallel, yes, it will double your amp hours and double the time it lasts if they are the same class battery

BUT, dedicated battery with 6 gauge wire will clear up a lot of lines and clutter on the screen making the view much clearer.

Thanks for the tip I'm a newbie and about to order a system , on the 6 Guage wire,, did you actually see a slight ,med , significant improvement if it's ok to ask..and I'm planning to dedicate a sole purpose 24v battery for the optrix plus livescope system to the echomap 106vs.
