Can we get a definitive answer if the LIVESCOPE only screen gets sharper with the better resolution screens or is the resolution output determined by the GLS10 and is what it is no matter what screen its displayed on?
@@tonysimons7218 so then the screen's resolution differences don't matter since its limited to the transducer output? So the Livescope screen image will look the same on a 93UHD vs a GPSMAP8610?
Hello Josh, I have a 1022 but I need room. What is your take on the Garmin gpsmap 943xsv (1080 ×720 pixels w g3 ultra mapping ) as a stand alone. I like gpsmap because I can secure it. Thanks
Got a questions. I'm looking at the Garmin GPSMAP 1243xsv Touch-Screen Fish Finder/Chartplotter and the Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv GPS Chartplotter/Sonar Combo without Transducer. Which one you recommend. I'm just using it for livescope but the fine details is a must for me and I don't mind spending a little extra. Please help. Thank you.
Love your videos. Just purchased a new boat and got all my units through them. Sorry. But anything moving forward I will definitely use you guys. Your videos just help so much. Thanks.
Liked. Bravo. I thought that Livescope is low resolution so that higher resolution above 800 x 400 does not actually give more visual data. Or am I mistaken? Thanks.
If I get the 106 solely to use with lsv34 (for now), do I only need the lvs34 transducer and GLS10 or do i need anything else with it? BPS is supposed to have a sale on the 106 making it 1000 which is 300 under the 1022, so seems like the 106 is way to go in this instance
Did you answer the equestion...if the 106sv is compatible with other setups? I heard you speak to the 1022 but no mention if the 106sv can work with Lowrance or Birds?
Dear friend, I asked this question to your competitors, but what is being done so that the Active Target kit shows at least the same as Garmin's Panoptix Livescope? , and what are you doing to make your product show fish in troubled waters?
Great Videos! Quick question for you....asking for a friend: Is there a way to set up 1 Garmin fish finder unit (that can run down image, side image and also Panoptix) mounted at the console to run a transom transducer for down and side imaging and to locate structure & fish while trolling around and then once they are located - move the same unit to the bow and connect to a transducer pole (like a SeeLite, Poleducer etc.) with a Panoptix live scope transducer to be operated independently of a spot lock trolling motor? Trying not to break the bank / be served divorce papers :)
Hi my friend I have a garmin ultra 126 sv in front of my boat and from the front to my console can i put a garmin gps 943 xrs and link the two sonar with livescope lvs 32 ?
I've done alot of research on the topic of echomap vs gpsmap. There's a reason the gpsmap series is the flagship line for garmin. There's no reason the echomap series outshines the gpsmap in freshwater. Absolutely none. In fact the gpsmap series outshines the echomap series no matter where you fish at. On top of that you can save money on your entire build and have bigger screens at console and bow that all network flawlessly. I'm currently running 1222 and a 93xsv at bow. A 1243xsv and a 1022 at console. Currently running a gt56, lvs32 and also a steadycast heading sensor. I plan on upgrading to a Garmin force trolling motor, and an lvs34.
Life is too short to use cheap electronics! Case in point, around 2015 I bought two Humminbird Helix 9"s not knowing the Mega was about to come out. Stevie Wonder can see as many fish as I do. I'm about to use them for boat anchors with the 360 attached. They are dialed in they simply suck. They'll show you the bottom but you should know the lake has a bottom before you get in the boat.
I am from Quebec Canada. The species we fish is the speckled trout, the characteristic of this one is that it is held in less than 30 feet. The main technique to catch it is by trolling with a spoon followed by a hook with a worm. Of course it is quite rare with my Humminbird Mega Live G2N Si to distinguish these specimens even with the traditional sounder because as soon as one approaches them the shadow of the boat makes them flee immediately. In these circumstances if I acquire a Garmin GPSMAP 1222 with Panoptix Livescope System Touchscreen Chartplotter an investment of 4310 $ Canadian that can give me a certain advantage in the capture of this trout
Exactly addressed the answers I needed for my situation, a rare experience.
Very happy with it for how I use it (Navigation and depth awareness). simple and accurate.

Screen can only provide the image the transducer sends

Thank you for this video!
It's confusing to try to figure out the Garmin model differences and which one would best suit me.

Will 93sv gt53 and 93sv gt54 share the same trans either way? Also will the 106sv link all together with them
Lots of help thank you!

Great Info as usual!!
Should've compared it to the 102sv instead of the higher 106sv

If you use it for just livescope you only need the screen, transducer and black box

No but it can network with other echomaps
cant the 1022 network with other gpsmap units. if so, why is having an echomap an advantage.
Also if you ever wanted a bigger unit than 12”. You have to use Gpsmap. They make bigger screens. Echo map doesn’t.

Does the 1022 or 1042xsv come with a screen cover?
How much is it for the 1222?
Will the LSV 34 transducer work the 93SV Echomap plus unit?
Yes
Can the 1022 be used to network two 93SV UHD?
waiting for another black-friday -like sale to pickup my 2nd 106sv
Does anyone know how the touchscreen does when touching with wet hands or screen is wet?
Can none sonar compatible gpsmap units display sonar if plugged into a network with gpsmap units that are sonar compatible?
Yes they will!
Is the 1022 good for ice fishing?
Yes! A lot of guys prefer a non touch for ice fishing.
@@RussellMarineProductsLLC thanks! Last question is can I screen record for UA-cam?

So you're saying you can't network with the 10/22. But can it receive the information from my 93 SV at the
you can share waypoints between the 1022 and 93sv.
Will the echomap ultra network with older echomap plus?
Yes they will. Echomap Plus 7 and 9 inch.
BS Pretty pic's thats not the real deal and you know it.

I believe it only works with the UHD'S but not the Plus models.
