- More people are doing this than will ever admit. 👀🤐 Especially on heavily-pressured, clear-water lakes where bites can be hard to come by….
Drop a comment below and let me know what you think. 👊 Thx SO much for watching!

I upgraded my boat batteries to lithium this season and could NOT be more happy!
I went with Amped Outdoors' 36V 100Ah trolling motor lithium battery system (which is two 36V 50Ah LiFePO4 batteries in parallel). I was able to shave off roughly 140 pounds 😳 by running those 2 lithiums vs 3 lead batteries, and of course get some amazing run times:
ampedoutdoors....
Which also freed up an extra battery slot in my boat, so I was able to plug in this 100Ah beast (only weighs about 24-ish lbs) to exclusively run all of my electronics - fer dayzzzz 🔋 - instead of running them off of my cranking battery:

I promise you we have some videos coming up that do NOT need forward-facing sonar...in fact, we caught waaaay more fish once we stopped looking at....
Are you a guide by chance?
Spring Lake?
*Can you somehow go into the UA-cam settings and block the guys in our walleye league from watching this???*
Been trying not post this for years lol. But definitely should have waited at least 1 more month.
I saw Hoyer doing this in those Tour Level Gold videos.....dude bought STACKS of crawlers one day.
I use yellow braid because I have been a line watcher for most of my 77 years. I installed a Livescope about a month ago and now I am a screen watcher! Caught a 29” yesterday just as you described except the fish was suspended at 30 feet in 40 FOW. Used a blade bait rather than a jig and night crawler. Spot lock changed where I fish in the boat and now Livescope is changing how I fish. I would not have cast in that direction were it not for Livescope.
It's very, very eye opening. Have learned SO much about fish behavior from it. Btw congrats on the 29" that's amazing! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. 👊
Sshhh! Watching guides trolling all up and down the lake and I'm over here sniping.. Favorite way to land some bigs!
😂🔥🔥🔥
Yea but you are watching TV, they are fishing.
See the difference?
@@alexfamie5255and he’s catching
what net do you use?
I've got a few different ones depending what I'm doing. That medium Bubba Carbon Fiber Net is nice for solo landing or scooping fish right over the side of the boat. And I have a Clam Fortis Net (190) with the telescoping handle that'll go all the way out to 110" for scooping fish out behind the boat when I'm trolling and the boats moving.
Great video dude!! I'm going to try this at the Ute the next time I'm up there!!
I hope the BIGS come out to play for you!
Great content! Your techniques work on water everywhere !
Thank you, Danny! 👊
I really enjoy your videos man!!
Thank YOU, Marc!
Love the content as someone who lives in Minnesota and fishes all of your stuff is very helpful on the water!
Keep crushing it, buddy! 👊 You and your dad should come fishing with me sometime.
Are you a guide by chance?
@@bigredreels6499 I didn't mean I would charge you to go...just super cool to see your passion for chasing fish, sharing your experience with others, and I'd love to take you and your dad out sometime. Send me a DM on Instagram and maybe we can figure out a day to sneak out this fall. Thanks much for watching!
Great video! What month did you film this, if I may ask?
On Monday.
that vmc ned has been my butter lately. Livescope being the bread.
She's a nasty little unit! And that bread + butter combo is just amazing. Addicting really lol.
And that's why men stay married, folks. "She's mean, but I love 'er!"
😂
@@TargetWalleye how hard is it to see walleye on the PS22 ducer compared to the lvs34 ducer during ice season?
@@hunt_trap_fish you can definitely see them on the PS22 - especially ice fishing - it's just not going to have the detail. Things are just much more "blobby." Still sweet tho.
@@TargetWalleye ok. I’ve been debating on upgrading the ducer bc the whole point was to be able to find and see fish better! Glad to hear that I’ll still be able to distinguish them from the bottom!
Mother earth 😂 wheres the link?
😂👊 Just making sure that you're paying attention hahaha
Would you share what Simms jacket you’re wearing? That looks like it would fit nicely. Great vid, thanks
That's a SIMM's Pro Dry. Wildly expensive, but worth every penny when you live in it. Actually makes me enjoy fishing in the rain 😅. Thanks for watching!
Another goodie. Very educational. Is it bad that I'm glad to see jacket-wearing fishing weather?
Thanks man!!! And I could not agree more! Then a few days later it was 100 degrees again hahaha.
Awesome video. I’m so close to pulling the pin and getting Mega Live for my boat. Cheers
Thank you! Man, they're spendy. But definitely learn a ton from them.
Just like on hard ice, the big fish are suspended above deep water near humps. Dropping a bait to the bottom will net small fish at best, but the big ones are always way off the bottom.
Seems more and more true every day! All year long.
What jig is that?
3/16-oz VMC Ned Rig Jig
8lb sufix advance braid? Is that new?? 😁😂🤓
Hahahah! Technically it's called Sufix 832 Advanced Superline...but I think that's the first time ever I didn't just say "832" 😅 and I felt like a weirdo after hearing the footage back. Now at least I know you're paying attention tho lol.
Wow good tip! I should try that.
Good video! Why not use a small rubber crawler and jig? It can be deadly.
I do play around with plastics occasionally, and it works great! But if the pressure is on and I absolutely NEED to catch a fish = 'crawler time. Thanks for watching, man!
half a canadian crawler is about the size of a euro crawler, ever try those for bait?
It's nice using small crawlers to not have to pinch them, but I'd rather have the bigger crawlers becasue they are girthier. I just have more confidence in that extra beef and makes it worth pinching to me.
Never seem to have enough rods!
Never lol. Until they get tangled-up in each other when laying in a pile and I wonder what I'm doing with my life hahaha.
Nice
Thx!
Nice jacket I liked it, where did you get it?
Just in case you don't see under the other video. That's a SIMM's Pro Dry. Wildly expensive, but worth every penny when you live in it. Actually makes me enjoy fishing in the rain and wind 😅.
@@TargetWalleye you aren't kidding wildly expensive 🙄
@@patrickethier6190 I've wanted one ever since I was 15 years old working at the bait shop in Alexandria and the guides would come in rocking them, completely dry clothes underneath despite it being nasty outside. 20 years later I finally got my first lol. Worth the wait tho!
Nice to see you copying Boley’s last video……
Truly, it's a testament to Tom Boley's teaching skills that he could post a video that was so good that TW could watch it, learn the tactic, then turn around and make a video the next day.
@@NickLindner fair enough
Lol I'm not copying anybody 🥴 but I do actually think it’s pretty cool when other channels happen to post similar techniques or patterns around the same time. Goes to show that it’s something that’s working in other states, areas, regions, provinces, etc under similar conditions.
PS: If you’re curious, this was filmed on Monday, August 14….
Yeah, yeah.... I'd challenge you any day to a match of actual fishing. No electronics just bathometry maps and weather reports. Any day dude...
YES! Also, no boats or rods & reels. Just a line, a hook, and anything you can find in the woods. Just true fishing instincts. This is what we need! Brad Masen 4556 vs. Brett in a primitive angling competition. Not on any of these fake stocked lakes either. Only true natural walleye lakes. How does next Thursday sound @TargetWalleye?
I'm down. But I'm not taking a bathometry with anyone.
@@TargetWalleye 😂
Also no boat just bank fishing with a stick and string . LOL
Usually when people mock you it's because they're intimidated and it seems that's just what you've done here!😂 lol keep up the good work 🎣
