- A former Newark police officer and his father were sentenced Wednesday in the death of a nurse who was struck and killed while walking on the Garden State Parkway. CBS New York's Natalie Duddridge reports.
They don't deserve forgiveness!
Forgiveness is not for the suspect but for the victim. He killed him and made not attempt to save him or get him help.
@@My2CentsYallthat’s why I don’t feel bad if they get time . Had they called an ambulance I would feel differently
If u don’t forgive those who trespass against u how can u expect the lord almighty to forgive u
@@jakerobles1669 🤣🤣🤣 Oh well
Put the body in the trunk? God knows What else he did as a police officer 🤦🏽♂️
man that is some bull shit he should had gotten at least 20 years
The kids dad is disgusting. What type of parent would be alright with a cop running over their child, throwing the boys body in the back of his car, drove to his mommy lieutenant home, then drove the now dead boy back to the scene of his crime, then lied to his coworkers.
Yeah completely I can’t believe some people are so forgiving. I would say throw away the key. It’s not like I’m afraid of any repercussion.
I completely agree - the father, son, and cousin should have gotten way more time in prison.
I can think of 1 word that explains this. Settlement
He hated his son. His son was a homosexual.
Wow,, what a fucking joke,, if that would’ve been any of us citizens,, we would’ve got at least 20 years
Wow! Of course they both deserve to get more than what they got! Moving the body!😮😮
Wrong pic up smh, I thought someone from the car yesterday died
Sorry for the great loss of your son Mr Andre
Traded the badge for a get out of jail free card. What a scam.
Definitely not enough time for this crime.
DOUBLE STANDARD !!!
Way to sad...
He should have went to prison!
Did I hear thst correctly????
5 years....
The punk gets five years...
Lost for words.
welcome to the double standard of america. if you have a badge....you get a free pass. willin to bet him and dad are still cops too. probably promoted by now

Why is someone walking on the GSP?
Driving drunk, typical. What's wrong with our world?
Also I'm curious why someone would walk on the side of the highway?
That, and I am also curious what are the chances you can get struck by a dui when you both are at the wrong place at the wrong time? Was he walking deep on the grass or very close to the driving lane? That seems quite a bit of coincidences. Also, was the deceased also under the influence?
Why he didnt report it he just put himself in a worser situation, this is a strange case
Put the body in the trunk? Then brought it back to the seen ? What a hell-of-a-night !!!!!
That is why you cannot call law enforcement people good because blood is thicker than water 💦
Do not drink and drive do not text and drive and he was doing both NOT ONLY THAT when he struck the person he did not help him (no cpr) nor did drive to the hospital he drove to his parents house.
Why was the deceased walking down the New Jersey parkway. That is not a walkway , and at 3am is even weirder. Something doesn’t add up here. How did they prove that they hit the person at that location????? Maybe they hit him crossing a street in town. This is just bizarre
Don't forget any DUI
Enforced the law but can't obey it
The prosecutor was acting on behalf of the criminals
5 years
The father and son both should've got life if they called fot help the kid might have lived
He kills the guy while driving drunk FACT. He puts the body in the trunk of his car FACT. He leaves the scene of an accident FACT.Then after involving his father he brings the body back to the scene of the crime FACT. So we are meant to believe the prosecutor can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that this lowlife is guilty But sees fit to offer a deal of 5 YEARS!!!! And the father gets probation !!!!!. What an absolute joke.
This guy is crappy father, letting his sons killer off the hook.
If you don't understand forgiveness, it's time to reconsider what having a crappy father means. I'll explain what your father should have: If you're ever before a judge, know this - forgiveness doesn't cancel out accountability.
Dam 😒 father n son 😮
Their attorney same for now convicted officer Johanny crespo NJ
Typical cop stuff
There cops maybe he was threatened
You don't really love your kid If you forgive the ones that killed them.
That's not true at all. You really should feel ashamed. Forgiveness is about remembering the best of your child, without their memory triggering rage. It's not about the killer's benefit.
