I really love how genuinely happy you get every time you see your cat, with who you see every single day. It's like each time you see him it's for the very first time. I absolutely love it
I really enjoy this type of video on your channel for mostly two reasons 1. Listening to your commentary and seeing the growth and changes with your plants development. 2. You put so much physical energy in your plant maintenance that it inspires and shames me to get off of my bum and put in real time on my collection. Thanks for the motivation 😊
I had a silver sword philo on a coco fibre pole that I got from my nursery as a gift when I quit my job there. I was always scared about how it was going in the soil it was in and the fact it couldn't grip onto the pole. I semi-airlayered a bit of it to put on a moss pole, and put the big mother plant out into my roofed sidewalk area against a wall. Fast forward a few month and the mother plant that I've frankly forgotten about is looking happier than ever and ACTUALLY rooting into the coco pole and looking very bushy. (It's kinda of vining all around the pole so it has a very nice leafy look) So that's my plant story of 2024
A beautiful sight to see as I sit drinking coffee with -20 C outside. Something to look forward to for us in the Northern Hemisphere :). Thanks for sharing, your garden is stunning!
Plants are a lot of work, it's a journey right!! I have to put a bunch of plants in my garage due to a cold blast coming. Looking forward to spring for sure. Love your patio tropical garden. So much an inspiration!!!❤
14:19 Yeah, Rhaphidophora decursiva seems to want to do that even when it's happy; it grows a few leaves and then a leafless bit of stem where the leaves are basically just cataphylls, then a few more leaves, then more leafless stem. Of all the climbing aroids I know, it's kind of the most stubborn and also fickle. It will crawl or climb, but it always seems to act like it wants to do something else. (I've never grown an Amydrium medium though and I've heard they are something else!)
It looks fabulous, Jan! I always love “ hanging out” in the garden with you! It’s about 20 degrees Fahrenheit ❄️❄️ in Colorado today , so I’m loving the gorgeous green space. 🐈🪴💚
Love seeing your beautiful garden especially since here in Ontario Canada we are in the middle of winter and it’s -8 and the ground is covered in snow! I hope your back feels better!
Looking noice! I'm doing plant chores with - had to run back to the screen a few times. 😆😅😁I liked the video - you did a wonderful job. Also, the star was featured a couple of times, which was a bonus. 😸😹😻💚💚💚
28:15 that thing on your face, I can't 😂 I feel for you with all that falls from the trees. In Spain we have this problem with the sand that the wind brings in from Africa - how many times a week you wouldn't clean, it's still the same 🤒 But your hard work as always pays off, the garden is beautiful! 🥰 P.S Looking at your biceps - it won't be long before personal trainers will be moving pots wanting to get in the same shape😂😂
Your video reminds me all the cleanup is just a never ending part of it. It seems like last week you did your spring cleaning. 😂 in the northern hemisphere I’m just now cleaning up the outside garden from summer 😂
Hi Jon, can you please film your p.plowmai when you wanted to repot it. I have a similar one that I'm spectacle about repotting it, thanks. Happy growing 😊
I have a moss pole but the Sphagnum moss is turning green, what can I do when its dry it smells like mold but when I spray it it turns into wet moss. should I let it dry out? Will that turn it to normal spagnum moss
Hey Jan! Love to see your rain water collector. I have a 50 gallon one hooked to my downspout, all my plants get rainwater. What is to "gurney"? Is that what you called it? Maybe I got it wrong, I'm old and my hearing isn't the best. 😻
Excellent video as always. I can't tell how much we need your sunshine here. -6 in the UK at the moment :(. Also, how does Brad feel about the leaf blower?
I really love how genuinely happy you get every time you see your cat, with who you see every single day. It's like each time you see him it's for the very first time. I absolutely love it
Haha so true!! Always delighted to see my Baby Brad :)

Thanks for coming along :)
18:25 The bright green colour of the leaves is truly a feast :)
Looks great Jan! No need to feel like you have to talk sometimes the more quiet the more you can enjoy your craft and we can watch and relax.
I really love these cleanup Videos, so relaxing
Glad you like them!:)
Omg Jan you’re looking buff as hell😆💪🏼 amazing content as always 🫶
hehe thanks :)
Thanx Jan yes me too I love to potter around my garden 😊

Jan: Let me quickly, at least, blow all the berries away so we can move through the garden.
Brad: Ew. A berry touched my paw!
I love watching this. Reminds me of always cleaning up the garden with my mom growing up ❤
I'm glad it brought back some good memories :)
@ it really did 😊 thank you
ahh.. so nice to enjoy your beautiful tropical garden while it snows outside here in the northern hemisphere lol love this 💚🤍
Nice that the leaf blower is powerful enough, was already typing I presumed it would not be to move the berries but then you got it out and it was 😆

Your garden looks incredible even with the blemishes, it has character and it takes a lot more than water and sun to achieve that! 🙃
Thank you :)
@sydneyplantguy thank you...I love watching, BTW Bradley is one of the most elegant cat's I've seen 🫠👌
It looks fabulous, Jan! I always love “ hanging out” in the garden with you! It’s about 20 degrees Fahrenheit ❄️❄️ in Colorado today , so I’m loving the gorgeous green space. 🐈🪴💚

I know, right?! It’s definitely my fave syngonium :)

You might want to make leaf compost from all dead fallen leaves. I do that. It's ready quite fast and plants love it

Bradley was so helpful today😂
That was a bit brutal, but beautiful result 😍 You sure do get a lot of debris to deal with.

15:13 Braddles providing some foreshadowing for the future mess on your face. I always enjoy a storyline that comes full circle 😂
Haha so true !!!
あなたの植物は最高です。
日本から憧れています👏👏
Thank you :)
I could spend my life in your garden. I have a question, how often do your larger crazy rubbish anthuriums get new leaves?
Thanks :) really depends on the season but quite imfrequent as they get more mature :)
Looking noice! I'm doing plant chores with - had to run back to the screen a few times. 😆😅😁I liked the video - you did a wonderful job. Also, the star was featured a couple of times, which was a bonus. 😸😹😻💚💚💚
