I bought a 2004 galant with the 4g69 it is one of my favorite engines to work on the simplicity in the complex engineering is interesting they truly are great engines. Sorry you had to sell yours man but looking back now how do you feel you still miss it?

4g69 is a great motor sad no vendor makes aftermarket like they do with Honda. Honda ruined for all other great motors out there.

Can’t supercharge a 420a. This was a custom build I pieced together from a discontinued kit made by RIPP

It was an old kit RIPP used to make. The supercharger itself was a vortech blower.

Recently I’ve seen a lot of 4gs in my hometown and its filled with mexicans driving Integras and eclipses. I’ve been following a lot of builds and ig pages and mexicans just really like the 4g and 2gs a lot

I would seriously consider trading my newer 4g for it and it would be way easier to sell a stock 4g for the same proce

Please respond to this. I have an eclipse I love the rims, STR 518 rims, and the ride height. Could you tell me the specific size you had for the tires, and rims, the kind of coilovers you had, and what you did to tweak them to that ride height?
Honestly I don’t remember the specs on the height. I know they were tein coilovers. The tires I think were 225 55 17.

All custom. Also used to be a kit RIPP made years ago.

After everything said and done I believe it came out to about $4500.

Where did you find your supercharger? I’ve been looking all over the place and I can’t seem to find a super, or turbocharger for that matter. My 4G is also a 2.4L.
It was a kit that was made by RIPP back in the day, they’re super rare but I also modified mine quite a bit.

What you need to do any change a to THE motor??
Motor is completely stock. Just a really good tune with full bolt ons to compliment the supercharger.

Luis Zazueta polyurethane motor mounts and coilovers. Stiffen up the suspension really tight. You'll notice s huge difference.
@@AustinThornton What do the motor mounts do for the car? How much would they cost for the poly motor mounts?
Space Alien the stiffen up the engine bay by reducing engine flex during revs creating less power loss being put to the ground.

That is the intake. It’s the inlet to the supercharger.

It’s a supercharger. I found a used one they used to make and added on to it.

Eh… yes and no. You might have fitment issues so everything would be custom of course. But essentially yes.

That’s the stock one. I took it off and just plasti dipped over it.

This was all custom made. RIPP is a company that designed the shaft and pulley and bracket. The discontinued it 10 years ago.
What ecu you used?
Stock ECU.
Did you sell it and for how much?
Yes. Sold everything to bolt on and go for $2700 and the car for $4000. All you would have needed for my setup was to purchase a tune separately

It varies. If you can find a decent kit and how much custom you want to go. I found deals on everything I put together and it was about $4k our the door.

Sold it with 89k on the odometer.
That’s pretty low I just bought mine a month now with 189k with one owner, toke pretty good care of it, I just did a oil change and some cosmetic work to it it’s running pretty good
They’re awesome cars to when taken care of.
@@AustinThornton yes they are. Just did a lot of work to mine chasing a po300 code and was thinking about selling it and got her purring again and I’m like nah, I’m gonna keep driving it. Only upgrade I have is the air intake, but she still rides so good and she’s great on gas.
If I did it all over again I’d get a clean GT 6speed and do an all motor build with spray.
How reliable has this car been to you?

Why is it better? Just curious.. and is a non-turbo'd 4g69 the same as the turbo'd one?
Unlimited Potential the 4g69 is basically an upgraded 4g63 with the only difference being sohc. Which in today's era of tuning really isn't a disadvantage anymore. You can still dohc head swap a 4g69 block which is what mivec Frankenstein did and made 700whp

So I have a 9th gen mitsubishi galant and it has the 4g69 mivec motor but I'm having hard times finding aftermarket parts/upgrades for the car and I over heard u say u have multiple parts from the 4g63 motor could I possibly do the same if I can make the fitments??? I'm really trying to make a fast sedan and I got the 4cylinder instead of the 6 for cheaper fixes ofcourse but I really want a fun 4door car please reply to my comment I could use the advice bro👍🤝 nice eclipse btw🔥🔥🔥
I’ll be honest with you. I wouldn’t mod it because it’s the same motor yes… but fitment will be an issue for parts because of the engine bay layout. I would do basic mods that won’t really affect your emissions too much. Cai, maybe a Catback exhaust if they still make them. Contact Jason Willis at Autocityimports.com and tell him I sent ya. 👌
