Cranking a 5XD----TOO JACKED UP----(My cranking set up)

  • I was out on the lake looking scouting around for a TV show I was scheduled to do when I came across some fish off shore. I didn't have time to fish for them at the time so I decided to come back later. Problem was that I thought about it to long and I was so excited to fish that I was all jacked up. It didn't turn out like I thought it would be with one simple adjustment I started catching them. Sometimes it takes one little thing and you can turn your day around.

The Zo Wire hook is incredible. I have yet to bend one out, dull the hook, or had any rust issues. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Your crankbait lip will wear out and the zo wire hooks will still be perfect 100% truth.

I watched a KVD Bass U video where he explained that he didn’t care what manufacture you choose but you needed buy all your rods and reels from the same one because you learn the feel and intricacies quicker. Made sense to me, been running with all Lews rods and reels ever since. Glad I did quality is great but customer service has been better, love Lews . Btw KVD was with quantum at the time.

Can you suggest a good all around flipping setup . I've been getting some big ones doing it and up till now never had that much confidence in it . I'm only 5' 9" and the heavy action long rods seem to much work and not enough accuracy .

I certainly know the jacked up feeling. Whenever I look back at video it's funny how everything happens faster than I thought it did in real time. Like I threw a jerkbait yesterday and I coulda swore I was waiting 10 times longer than I really was between twitches.

I’ve been bass fishing for five years now fission since a little boy but nothing like just one species, I have two Saint Croix tournament legend jigging worm 16617 foot! I do pretty good I don’t have all the fancy gadgets but I love catching bass and to be honest a lot of us out here can take all of the techniques, an attitude or abilities at all lakes in Maryland and the difference is down south the bass are completely different they’re more evasive more hungry they strike harder my personal Bess is 79 on a smallmouth and I have a 97 on a large mouth and I’ve never in the five years of fission have had a three fish day off of a jig but when I go down south Alabama Tennessee I’m a different type of man and I’m also on a different boat I’m on A guide’s boat and with the three sonars and live target on a weeks vacation I was catching in four hours 23 lbs. 4 oz. by myself I don’t do that and tournaments up here in Maryland most of the time unless we’re on liberty reservoir longer fish is only 58 and the heaviest bag is only about 18 pounds I would love to get into a group or learn more show you a few Bates I made myself which I called the reaction bait, it’s like the NU rig but only comes through the head and down to the tail with two hooks and it’s a Berkely bait it has the paddle tails on the back of the Berkeley Bait, like the rage tale on the strike King, would love to show you some of the things I’ve came up with wooden baits repeller raps
