Love the way you built something quite involved (from my newbie eyes anyway) and make it look so easy. My biggest take away was the the divider and adding loops to regain detail back. Thanks so much.
Thanks to you and your tutorials on UA-cam I learned lots of things about Blender and now I love low poly style Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge here for free.

Amazing tutorial! I really appreciate the pacing on this video. Not too slow to constantly keep the watcher on their feet and paying attention, but not too fast to leave us in the dust. This is the first video I've followed along by your channel, but I'm definitely going to check out more, it really helps watching these videos to help develop my workflow! Thank you!!
In object mode, right click on the object, set origin> origin to 3d cursor. The pivot point (orange dot) of the object will be moved to the center where the 3d cursor is positioned so that when the mirror modifier is applied it will use the new pivot position as the reference.
this mirror didnt work properly for me 8:44. it's mirroring but they're literally together, it just added a flipped version to the same space, while yours just went to their right places what i've done wrong?
Okay tbh I’ve been saving money for a pc it’s on its way I got everything needed I have a playlist of blender tutorials and I have a lot of furniture ones and not many character ones but I still wanna make animations even as a newbie but I don’t wanna just download something cuz I feel more exited when it’s my character and not someone else’s so I’ll just make the simples oc just to try animating him going on a chair and drinking from cups and stuff lol I already drew him it’s just basically a stick man lol no mouth cuz I’ve never even had a pc so ima start simple lol
This is amazing!, thank you very much for this. im still new to your channel but would you be able to make a video about rendering settings and what to think of and what is good etc? would appreciate big times :D
Love how simple you make everything look, but under the hood it's pretty complex. I was wondering how you texture the environment so realistically. It's always give me trouble. Texturing is not my forté. Lol thanks for another super helpful tutorial. If you don't mind, how long have you been using blender? And how do you get your insperations?
@@polygonrunway oh I know. The lighting was really cool. Brings everything togeather really nice! I love how a flat plain curved upward made a really nice background after the lights were applied! But I was talking about the last project you used the chair in. The fire place one. That whole environment looked really nice with the realistic textures.
I love the tutorial! But I I have a problem with creating the new plane for the cushion - it’s a part of the “chair” not separated object, it’s not as a new plane on Scene Collection window it means I select the whole thing at once
Update! For those who has the same problem I was on edit mode while creating the cushion, you have to switch to the object mode for new plane to be created
When I do control r and create 2 loop cuts then try and scale them to get them to the edges of the mesh it doesn't work. It'll scale on all the other axises, but when I want them to get to the edges it doesn't work.
hey buddy there was a problem with beveling vertices "can't rip multiple disconnected vertices" this error message was showing how to resolve this.by the way great tutorials.
Do we need to have the latest version of Blender to follow along? I upgraded to 2.9 the other day, but every time I'd launch the software, it closes immediately afterwards - despite my computer (Windows 10) being supported for it. As cool and helpful as your tutorials are, I feel like I might have to follow along future vids with Blender 2.8... [sigh] Great chair, tho! ;)
you can press it manually up in right corner, the same place where you can change viewports to solid or wireframe for example. (the icon looks like two little squares going over each other)

hey, I followed along and got stuck at the 9:50 where when I added mirror modifier, it just mirrored next to it not to the other side.

There are actually no textures here, just simple materials with colors. The key is lighting ;)

How do you switch to individual origins as a keybind
Period key (close to spacebar)
