I mean for one mystery that can be solved. we can probably already guess who Elfo's mum is based on the way the Elves relate to the Ogres. How his dad talks about the ogre kingdom and the berries. How his dad loves large women and how the ogre queen reacts to his name. His mum is probably the ogre queen. Or a relative. Either way he's probably part ogre

I've grown to hate prophecies. They basically spoil sparknotes of the plot. However, I do appreciate how the Percy Jackson books basically turned them into glorified riddles.
My biggest problem with this show is they don’t seem to commit to anything. They are constantly doing and undoing things, rewriting plot points... they don’t know how to mix the episodic format with the overarching plot. In my opinion they shouldn’t be putting that much emphasis into making episodic storylines since it is being released all at once and not weekly
I think Steven universe had that same problem, but at least the filler episodes usually had something to do with the plot, like Steven learning how to shapeshift in a filler episode, or they meant something come SU: future.
Since this is MG the "dept to hell" may just be an "overdue library book".
I like the show but I think they should have leaned more into being like a Futurama fantasy world they would have been better versus being like a Simpsons fantasy world cuz right now it feel like it's nothing but a Simpsons Halloween special I can see it getting cancelled by the next season if they haven't already canceled it
Normally the prophecy or the chosen one would be just lazy writing, but this is a cartoon by mat groening, they are not going to use that trope to move the history, they are going to make fun of it, I think that maru's prophecy of the crown with scres is related to the fact that dremland's crown is too big for bean, maybe she would be able to wear it.

Can we just talk about how there is so many hints that dreamland is the lost city of the elf’s
I kinda noticed that the painting of the individual that looks like Tiabeanie made me speculate that she is the ruthless ancestor of the House of Maru. Bean is the spitting image of the ancestor but she is more mad and tyrannical over her rule of Maru.

Idk, i feel like they didnt have and exact idea how or what the profecy should be, they just know what outcome and twists they want.
I'm not sure if you'll see this. But I think part of the issue is that, I think at least at SOME point in this shows creation, it was meant to be a parody/joke at the expense of Star vs the forces of Evil. This may sound silly but if you think about it, there's a lot that's very similar to it.
Queen Dagmar has a very similar general body build and apperance to Queen moon just with more of a chest, while also being like Eclipsa where it's constantly implied/hinted at a interesting backstory and sinister inteitons the show later plays off or doesn't fully adress properly. Shes like the two fused together in a way and semed like she was going to be a joke about overly mysterious characters with vauge possibly evil intentions or the like that never really go one way or the other till the answer is finnaly revealed and it's just unsatsfying.
Bean's father is pretty much just like Star's dad River, just an example of what he would be if he lost Moon, they are basically the same character, just a bit more toned down in Bean's dad's case. I mean even desgin wise they look kind of alike if you put them next to eachother.
And Bean herself littearly is a non-magical version of Star sometimes. Early on in particualr she felt like Star if Star hadn't had her mom to reign her in and if she didn't have magic as a factor in her life. As said here as well, Bean wants to make her own fate/destny, this was something central to Star's persoanlity for a good while. She didn't want to be like the queens of the past. She wanted to be herself and honestly was at point desperate to avoid becoming the queen by any means neccecary. She at times showcased a slightly depraved side, similar to Bean, was reckless, implusive, didn't really care about any damage or chaos she caused, just like Bean. The list goes on.
And then Dreamland is...LIttearly just Mewni but with a bit more foucus on it being medival and going a bit more in depth/detail with it. It's basically the same and even has again, a similar look if you hold two images of them together.
You can make so many comparisions to the series, that match up, i'm honestly convinced that at one point this was the core idea/foucus of the show, to be a parody/non magical version of Star vs and mainly make jokes about that show. But before it came out, Star vs went bad and quite frankly making a parody of it would be a waste of time as the jokes would be in bad taste. So they changed/retooled it to be what it is now. Star vs had it's own vauge idea of Star being a chosen one without acutally explaining what that meant/was and kept giving hints without really explaining.
I think that was suppoused to be the idea/joke here as well but agian, teh show went bad. So they retooled it but kept the core idea, but not the joke to make it work. I can go on but this is already too long I feel. I hope you see it and offer some thoughts.

And all those mysteries just add up to nothing. It’s like oh there’s a pond of magic juice under the castle and then just zap it with your black electricity that you had from the beginning and it’ll turn on no crown required, and then just drink it and rip out your brain your immortal cuz reasons but of course no one, but Dagmar ever actually used it and the power that comes with the juice for anything.
Actually, I don't care if they are putting a lot of twists on it and not giving a hint. I want the seasons to continue forever because this is the best show of the past 20 years of my life.

I use to really really love this show. More then futurama and the simpsons .... but the storytelling in this series is all over the place . I had to stop after season 3. It felt like to many cooks in the kitchen

The devil was kind of tricked into marrying bean's mom And as we all know she's a horrible terrible wife and personal general. The devils unhappy and begged bean for help
This show is horrendous. The characters are cardboard cutouts, the writing is hackneyed, and all of the jokes are corny. I can see them all coming from 50 miles away.
