Whatever the circumstances that brought you for an extended time to Croatia, the tourist board should really make a bow for showing all these many sides of the country.

That is crazy how the scenery and climate changes so much from the coast to that part of Croatia. Some of the shots look like they could’ve been taken in the Pacific Northwest.

the climate changes from continental to alpine to mediterranean in 150km, because of the Dinaric Alps belt

There is a lot of bational parks in Croatia. Hopefuly you can see them all some day. And thank you for exploring the continental part of Croatia. It is underrated.

Cool Gabriel, I have done some reading about the wild areas and the BROWN BEARS in Croatia. Fascinating that a country associated with beaches and historic cities have as many as 1000 brown bears! Or more...
Also increasing number of wolves and wild hogs.. kinda an issue to be honest.
It's a piece of cake, the province where I live have over 40000 bears.

Great video Gabriel! I'm glad you are enjoying beautiful Croatia. Try to visit less tourist towns like Vukovar and Osijek in eastern Croatia. Great food there, lots of nice nature and good wines. And much more affordable then tourist hotspots.

Brown bears are friendly there's one or two living in a forest near by my home I've seen them few times close.
I'm certainly no expert on this, but I THINK that was a slug. The creature in the wet street was a snail (it had a shell), while this latter creature didn't carry its "home on its back." Again it may not even be a slug, but I don't think it was a snail. Anybody really know?
@@delstanley1349 Looked like what we have here on the west coast of Canada called banana slugs. They're super ugly!

As always, exelent footage.You vsited Primorsko-goranska county ,most diverse county in all Croatia.In a one hour range you can finind so many varities.From beautiful coast line and plenty of islands to green Mountains.You can experience diverse climate, vegetation and animals.But I noticed you didn't have a proper hiking footwear.It could be dangerous in mountain terrains.Stay safe and enjoy in your trip.

There is mountain Sljeme 1053 m, I know it's not Risnjak ,but it's very nice as well..
Also next to the Zagreb is a ittle town Samobor and there are hiking places there,Žumberak.. :))
Zagreb is full of parks and nature,so you will find something for yourself. :))

Thank you Gabe. I been on all that places but through your eyes it’s even more beautifull. I really love my country and every part of it. When I was first time on Risnjak, I got wet too and didn’t have extra cloths for change, and it was around April so it was cold.

Typical weather in this area, mostly cloudy.
Dalmatia is the hotspot for sunny days, especially the coast because of the mountain range in the back.
If you visit Croatia again take a look to the town called Sinj ! It's on the countryside close to Split.Nice place with a little chapel on the top of a small mountain.Beautiful things to experience. The AlkaEvent in Sinj is

You're picking up our language real well Gabriel! Odlicno! That's the thing about Croatia, Mediterranean climate in the south and the Continental in the rest of the country. Delnice has quite an Alpine climate.
You could be swimming at Zadar County beaches while enjoying a magnificent view of the Velebit mountain range, it's highest peaks covered in snow at times. Not sure if you're going to be visiting any other islands. Island of Pag is very unique.
My English hubby calls it Moon Island, something to do with configuration of the terrain, the look of it as you're approaching the island. It's connected to mainland with the bridge. Another bigger island that's connected with the mainland is the island of Krk (where Rijeka Airport is).
I've noticed you're not vegetarian. If you get a chance to plan one of your meals , it would be nice to try one of our, still very popular traditional meals, roast lamb = pecena janjetina. Delicious but it's got to be preodered. Served with roast potatoes and vegetables. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip! Bok!
