[This is a reupload to fix some errors that are in the other version, it is largely unchanged however one of the glaringly obvious transitions has now been fixed.]
Fan-smegging-tastic! Also love how you used the version of the theme song used throughout Series 3 and half of Series 5 & 6 instead of the regular version.
Its weird singing it with the cut lyrics, theres 3 whole unused verses in the song Edit again: and also theres a variation of the "I want to lie, ship wrecked and comatose" that went unused aswell so counting that the totals 6
Love it! Could you possibly put up a download link or something for this please? I'd love to include this in a personal fan-edit I'm making, I was thinking of making something like this as sort of a nice ending to Series 8. :D
Doesn't really do it from me - the pitch shift just does not sound nice. There's also an additional two paragraphs to the lyrics that are used in some extended versions (I'll pack my bags, and head into hyperspace, velocity at time-warp speed, etc.), perhaps you could try isolating the singing there instead of repeating the first half that's used in the abridged theme.
Those lyrics were sung by Howard Goodall and not recorded by Jenna Russell. Therefore it wasn't included. The pitch change was done so the music flows better and the transitions work.
@@YoungButRetro Which recording are you talking about? The only sung version with a masc voice I know of is from Antique Extras, which didn't have the extended lyrics. The Soundstage Orchestra singing track isn't _that_ far off from the original, if you isolated it you could combine it with the proper instrumental. The pitch shift doesn't make the transitions work any better, and also leaves behind horrible artefacts as an icky bonus.
@bruh-zx2mc The lyrics you're talking about weren't written by Howard Goodall or anyone involved with the show. They're not great lyrics, and they're not well sung.
This one’s interesting - the guitar solo sounds a little different than what I’m used to. Was thee more than one studio recording made? Have you heard the version I assembled? ua-cam.com/video/zV0hwZwNQZc/v-deo.html
It's the series 3 and 5 variant of the closing theme mixed with the opening theme from series 3 onwards. The opening is pitched upwards by 2 semitones. And yes it was inspired by your version originally

Reliable, sensible, dependible. Any other words ending in ible.
Smoke me a kipper. I’ll be back for breakfast.
What a guy.
best quate ever
Stoke me a clipper. I'll be back for Christmas.
What is a kipper?
I love this song and the show.

there will never be another comedy show like this. EVER!!!!
Somehow they made watching end credits enjoyable !, the songs a banger
Those transitions are smooth! Nicely done!
Red Dwarf will always remind me of my Uncle David
Love you forever Uncle Dave x
Love this song and the show ❤
Absolute banger!
That background is from the early doctor who times! (Late 4th, full 5th and updated 6th!)
Well - they are from the same stable!
Red dwarf is one of those Sci Fi shows that can’t go bad.

We are never told about the English side of things apart from Blackadder, Mr. Bean, Bottom, the Young Ones and Red Dwarf I really don't get it at all.
Just put the survivors of those shows into one thing and you'll have something great. That's my opinion.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Fun, fun, fun 🎉🎉🎉
The song is so smooth
Was this soundtrack ever released on cd?
Unfortunately not. The closest thing we have is the DVD/Blu ray sets that have music tracks on the bonus discs.
@@YoungButRetroI suppose it’s too much to hope for the soundtrack on streaming services at this point
hey where's the instrumental from 1:01 from?
@@iLikeTheUDK it's isolated
have you even seen the red dwarf?
That bass 😎
Great job!!
This song fills me with a happiness that cannot be topped and I don’t understand how to describe it.
Only lyrics I know is mango juice

This is genuinely great
I grew up with Red Dwarf.
BRITISH FOREVER!
what the hell does that mean, some of us arent british, you know
@@nizdenizwell excuse me for speaking. It’s a British sitcom and I am half British. so what do you expect?
Hi, where did you find the instrumental that plays from 1:00 to 1:17? Thanks!
Its isolated from the closing theme. I used X Minus Pro to remove the vocals
@@YoungButRetro Oh, amazing - thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
Love it
Where did you find the DW titles?
Season 18 Blu Ray
@@YoungButRetro Thanks for the reply and info.
@BrianGamer Given the context, it's evident they're on about Doctor Who, not Red Dwarf.
the background seems familiar...
its the Doctor Who season 18 titles XD
@@YoungButRetro 😃
Go 2x and it’s better than the original!
