- Aurebesh is the alphabet used on screens and signs in everything from The Mandalorian to Clone Wars. And I can show you how to learn it in 5 minutes! (That is to say I can show you in 5 minutes. It'll probably take a little longer than that to learn.)

I've been over-consuming Star Wars stuff lately, so I figured I'd make a tutorial for a skill I picked up that I didn't find any videos teaching. It's not a skill that's likely to impress anybody, but if you're locked indoors watching Star Wars stuff it'll come in handy. - Розваги

I’m currently studying Aurebesh. This is my second day, I can read Aurebesh a little. I need to study more on punctuation.

I've found a great resource for those of us who have e-readers. Many e-readers allow us to download fonts. Aurebesh AF font can be used to replace a book's standard font: hey-presto, you now have a book in Aurebesh. Once you have the letters memorized, start reading the book. At first, it will be really slow (it takes a while to start picking up how to sight word read). But within a few chapters, you'll be reading faster, and after finishing a book, you'll be reading pretty much as fast as you do in English. It really has hugely improved my ability to read Aurebesh.

I just watched this video as a first introduction to the alphabet and I could already read the text at the end without looking a single letter up

This actually helped a whole lot I was able to read everything in this video. Granted it took me a little bit to read everything but I did it all without looking at alphabet key thingy. It's also my second day actually trying to learn and wow I'm proud of myself.

I just realized something... The small center plate in Boba Fett's chest armor is shaped a LOT like the symbol for besh, only it's rotated 90 degrees.

Holy crap, this was definitely useful. Just watched the video without studying any Arubesh previously and although it took awhile to get through the end credit messages, I was able to "decipher" them all without looking at a language key thanks to your helpful hints!

Ok idk how common this is but just after watching this video through ONCE I could read all the text at the end only guessing on a few letters and got the whole meaning eventually. Great video and so pleased to pick up this skill. Gonna leave notes to myself everywhere in this and no one will have a clue!

i used this to decode what my spork from disney world says! so fun! it’s less of learning a language and more of a galactic code but it’s still super cool

I've been studying for less than an hour and I can already read pretty good.
I’m not even a huge Star Wars fan, but I saw there was an entire alphabet for this and I was like “screw it, why not?” Plus I can learn short term knowledge pretty quickly without even realizing, so yeah, I could read the end stuff

For "f", you could think of F with the stem broken off, & put through the middle. The letters for k, d, & r look similar to their Hebrew equivalents (k=כּ, d=דּ, & r=ר). "P" is also similar to a sideways Hebrew "p" (פּ). "x" is a squished version of "o".

The "mirror caps" rule really is useless with the Besh (B), Herf (H), Osk (O), Trill (T), Vev (V), Wesk (W), and Xesh (X), so it makes sense that Star Wars refrains from this rule. Perhaps adding a dot on top of each letter denotes caps?
