Minecraft: How to make a working Death Star

- I'm taking a look at how to build a death star that can fire a laser to destroy planets! There are no mods used- only command block magic and a lot of free time!

My very first UA-cam video was a timelapse, but I haven't done anything similar for the next 7 years. So I thought, why not go back to the roots, and make another timelapse- this time to create a Death Star! A simple Death Star might be a bit boring though, so I decided to not only make the thing massive but also give it an actual laser cannon that works using command blocks!
I googled and found some useful reference material for how the internals of a Death Star might look like, and then I started my journey of putting together the huge planet-destroying space station!
I started with the core of the planet and continued with the main infrastructure, including the main power generator, pumps, central computing unit, and power cells. After that, I used command blocks to generate the shell of the Death Star. I added the laser disk and other internal structures, before actually implementing the laser beam itself. I then looked at the original Star Wars films to recreate the laser firing animation. And let me tell you, it turned out a lot better looking than I anticipated at first!

Fun fact: IG88A, the assasin droid, uploaded his programming into the mainframe of the Second Death Star and planned to use it to take over the Empire. Had Lando, Wedge and Nien Numb not destroyed it, the entire galaxy would have been under threat of annihilation.

ok this might sound weird but i never knew i was gonna do when i grow up, but this video helped somehow. I was confused about how the core reactors works so i searched it up and then i started learning about nuclear power plants. Which lead to me learning a ton about science and i decided i was gonna own an egineering/ techology or something like that. Thanks.

The laserbeam is actually made out of 4 big kyber crystals so if they dont want to blow up a whole planet and instead a big city, they could just use 1 or 2 kyber crystals for it (depending on the size og the city).

yes. i am very interested in the bps to the death star as i will be making one in space engineers. so i'll be looking at the link for accurate dimensions and what not of every single thing that goes inside of it plus the death stars circumference too. all relative to size of course.

This is soooooo cool, well done. I would love to build something like that in a creative world however me and command blocks cannot mix because complex commands are a pain plus it might be more stressful on bedrock but that is some crazy creative build and I love Star Wars.
